Likewise as posted above, Russia face’s a dying off of its population and a brain drain as the smart people leave. Russia is deteriorating, Russia is not strong. However they still have nukes and enough military strength to inflict damage to the globe. I would describe Russia as dangerous, a wounded Bear can’t still fight even though it maybe dying.

Russia is the largest country on the planet, with enormous mineral resources, and they are food independent.
They have a miniscule national debt.
Their annual budget deficit is 3% of GDP.
A quick google search reveals that over the past 5 years Russia more people have entered Russia than have left.
