After all the doom and gloom on TBP, that was happy shit. TX Stuckmaster
I agree, a nice step back from the edge once in a while is healthy.
“Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster… for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you.”
Irish Festival in town this weekend, been getting my fill of Irish dance, music, food, beer and redheaded lassies.
1st video elevated me to tears. Gorgeous.
2nd video I’ve seen before and is one of my absolute faves. Who knew you could dance to Ode to Joy?…the children of course!
3rd video, who said “White people can’t danz!”?? BS…I’d say bullshit but after all…it’s Sunday.

Can anybody find me an example of a black or Muslim flash mob that expresses such joy, elevates one’s soul, and that is, not putting too fine a point on it, so darn civilized???
Crickets…….
Hope, that’s raycist…..
I hate to be the turd in the punchbowl here but isn’t it sad that “flash mobs” evolved into scenes of hundreds of young (mostly black) people showing up after a twitter alert to rob stores and knock out white people? Nothing joyous about that.
So why was the flash mob concept created, for good works or bad?
Hope, Hope, Hope …. your standards are misplaced. Would you expect a chimpanzee to draw like Michelangelo?

I just love the Irish dancing … makes me feel so happy!
Ode To Joy has been one of my favorites for five decades now.
But, I REALLY LOVED the library one!! Sure, the singers were not a spontaneous flash mob. But, the looks on the faces of the library patrons are a spontaneous expression of pure joy. And when was the last time you went to library FILLED with people reading and studying earnestly and quietly? Ms. Freud and I just watched it again, for about the 5th time, full screen and my external speakers cranked up. Each time I watch it I get goosebumps, and yeah, misty eyed at the sheer beauty and exuberant joy of it all … in the singer’s faces, the patrons, in my own heart, and Ms. Freud.
I’m thrilled you all liked it.
Wow. Just, wow.
Decided to do some research on that library song. Wat for it …….. it is a SWAHILI (Kenya) Gospel Song!! Titled ‘Wana Baraka’, translated “The Lord Bless You”
They have blessings — those who ask (3x)
Jesus himself said so
Hallelujah (6x)
Jesus himself said so
They have life (3x)
They have joy (3x)
They have faith (3x)
Jesus himself said so
And, so ….. here it sung by Kenyans themselves.
I’d give you an “A” for that. Compare Classical Asian and European Art to African and you can see why people have been leaving Africa for 2 million years.
Ohww! the first video is a Kiswahili song “There is a freedom for those who pray”…I knew Stucky loves me…I knew he does…My hope is renewed, now I can go on dreaming!
Stucky posting these beautiful vids reminds me of the band playing on the Titanic, exquisite.

I hope you see this, because I won’t repeat it elsewhere.
I apologize for giving you shit about quoting the Bible/Jesus in many of your posts. I’m a work-in-progress when it comes to being more tolerant.
