The Rush Card, a prepaid debit card that some former (black) athlete started up for the working poor that can’t/won’t put money in a bank, has been down for over three days.
Hundreds of thousands of people have had zero access to their money for most of this week. Can’t use the cards and most of these people live with a zero cash existence as they just pull out their good ole’ Rush cards to pay their bills.
The Facebook page for the Rush card has thousands of comments of customers whom are seeing their cash held hostage (a preview of what is going to happen to us ALL soon).
I read about 30 of the comments last night (linked from a news article). Dear gawd, the spelling and ability to clearly communicate ideas was breathtaking. Along with the ignorance – but don’t feel too superior, most of the educated middle class doesn’t know this either – about what happening being “against the law.”
I resisted my urge to sign into FB (haven’t done that in two years) to let them know that they can’t sue a bank for not giving them access to “their” money. Once money is deposited in a bank, even a prepaid debit card “bank,” it is no longer “yours.” First the FDIC in ’09/’10 and now CONgress (right after the Repukes took over the House) have made this fun fact into law. The banks can “hold” “your” money for up to 30 days WITHOUT notice, and WITHOUT paying automatic bill payments, nor honoring checks written. Bonus, your bad check fees from both the bank AND the creditor, ARE still legal and fully in force.
So, if you want to see if the absurdity of our “free” and “Constitutionally protected” country in all its unionist destroyed glory displayed, head on over to the FB Rush Card website. What fun!

I LOVE the majority of my life. Every single night my daughter and I give thanks and blessings to God for the wonderfulness and bounty of our lives. Every single day, multiple times a day, I thank God for my family, friends, this place and my life.
We are SO blessed here in America. So damned blessed we don’t even see it anymore.
And the only reason I need a new house is because this one is in a high taxed ‘burb of Detoilet where I can’t have any livestock – though I have lots of small wild game – and, of course, fleeing the neighbors that continuously vote in higher taxes on our business and will bleed us dry when their union pensions and wages are threatened.
As for the hair and clothes, you know me not at all. I like myself and could give two shits about clothing. Even though I still color my hairs/grays, I’ve not sat in the salon’s chair more than five times over the past 2-1/2 to 3 years. Sadly, I’ve never gotten the hang of cutting my own hair, but I do cut my daughter’s.
And the hub, a NEW one? You are out of your freaking mind. The LAST thing I want is another one. At this point in my life it would take a man I doubt exists to even get me to go out for coffee, let alone walk down the aisle with.

Oh bb, forgot to add the car.
My car is over 9 years old, I don’t like it because it was chosen for me without my input, actually I was tricked into it.
It is a mechanical POS that – for now – costs less to fix than a car payment, so mine it is.
I’ve NEVER had a new car. NEVER. Even when I was kicking down six figures and mocked by my (then) hub and fellow workers.
It isn’t that I couldn’t “afford” it. It is that my ego is not tied up in what I drive, where I live, or what I wear. I know, I make a lousy American. Driving a fancy car, living in a fancy home in an expensive zip code is a WASTE of my money, time, efforts and labor.
Best thing about the coming reset? My “old-fashioned” and non-American ideals are going to become awful popular once again.
