@Any LAWYERS

My employer is requiring that I authorize Docusign to use an esignature on my review this year. I am very uncomfortable doing this. Hasn’t everyone heard about the endless hacking, ID theft and data breaches throughout the entire planet.

How can I be compelled to authorize a representation of my signature?

I want to report Admin for including the obviously racist phrase “sold down the river” in a title about Congress funding all the Executive’s unconstitutional programs. I’m offended on behalf of everyone who is too stupid to realize they have just been sold down the river.

Wip says:
“How can I be compelled to authorize a representation of my signature?”

If you are working for a private company, you can’t be compelled. You can seek employment elsewhere if they insist but they can’t force you. Your employer likely has the right to drug test you and search your possessions/person while on their property and video/record yous well. If you disagree with these things……….don’t let the door hit you!

If they simply want a legally binding signature, offer to sign it during the in person portion of the review process.

I’m not a lawyer but I did sleep like the dead in my own bed last night.

@Wip, no I’m not an employer but my employer has a few rules that folks don’t like. They whine and bitch to the state dept of labor and the standard response is to seek employment elsewhere if you don’t like the rules.

As long as they don’t violate the biggies regarding race, religion, sex etc employers are free to make rules as they see fit. Employees are free to follow them or seek greener pastures elsewhere.

Yep, working on it. The problem is that there seems to be less and less greener pastures here in the good ole usa, no?

Wip, the pastures do seem to be a bit parched. You could always start your own business and make your own rules. Just make it something you can do by yourself with occasional help from a family member or friend. I know a young Jehovah’s Witness kid who started his own janitorial service a few years back. He worked his ass off working mostly nights as he built up a customer base. He has all the work he can handle and hires a guy I work with to help him when he picks up a bigger job. There is enough work that he can afford to be picky about which jobs he wants. He still works pretty hard but no longer worries about feeding his family like he did when he got started.

Thank you Admin for this convenient form, I shall print up a stack for whenever somebody invades my safe space and offends me. Why isn’t there a forwarding address? Should I send it to your PO Box or via email?
