Shit – there are a few ways you can answer the question, depending on how analytical you are.
1. You can say – “none” they’re all the same font size.
2. You could have circled “zero” and said that number (digit) is the smallest.
3. You could have circled “one” and said that zero is nothing, and one is the smallest.
4. Or you could have circled “three” and said three is less than 10.
The question should have been “which number has the lowest value.”

mrk030, with common core the “correctness” of the answer is irrelevant as long as you can explain how you got your answer. Your explanation need not be correct or even based in reality just as long as you have one……..you’re right. It’s all about feewings not fax.

This bullshit started with “new math” When I was in 7th grade our math teacher announced that we had new workbooks for something called “new math”, adding that she didn’t understand it, be we could learn it together. Not so much…..

I was a certified HS Math teacher; NM was designed to contain lots of terms because girls are more verbal. It worked: within one decade, there were twice as many female math majors and half a many males.

hmm all this so a new worker cant do the math to figure out why taxes are so much ? They just are?

40 hour work week @ $8.00 should be $320. 00 a week um shit why is it only $227?
So an employer tells them well you got ss tax, medicare tax etc, New workers eyes glaze over from being unable to comprehend basic math because they were TAUGHT in school not to be able to understand !
So when banks /governments go to negative interest rates, which is currently full steam ahead ,
