Area Man Disappointed In Self For Already Being Full

GREEN VALLEY, AZ—Compelled by physical discomfort to set down the remainder of his pulled pork sandwich and discontinue eating the small mound of French fries still sitting on his plate, local man Shane Plimpton was said to be deeply disappointed in himself Wednesday for already being full. “Usually, I can handle a basket of mozzarella sticks and then a full entrée and still have room for a second beer, but this…this is just pathetic,” said a visibly downcast Plimpton, eventually turning his gaze away from the unfinished food items in disgust. “It’s hard to accept, but I’m actually stuffed. God, I’m better than this. I can’t be groaning and patting my full stomach when there’s still probably a dozen bites left. Where’s the dignity in that?” An utterly emasculated Plimpton was later seen placing his head in his hands and vowing to never let such a humiliation befall him again after a waitress stopped by to ask him if he needed a box for his leftovers.

Age sucks. I myself eat about half what I used to. It is depressing in spite of the article being a spoof.

stucky, what are you working on? I had an idea about showing pics of innovative us and/or german machinery and measurement tools. Sounds dry but some of the machines making things we use are super impressive. I like tool and die and precise measurement kind of stuff. It’s probably a clunker, but your thoughts please.
I also thought about peeps showing pics of their favorite personal pocket knives?. Think of the blades we’d see!

I can’t stand to stuff myself with food. I hate the sleepy, lethargic feeling I get after eating too much. So I tend to eat one thing, wait a couple of hours, eat another thing, go another three hours, and then eat something else, etc. I stop eating altogether by 5:00 or 6:00 pm. I never actually sit down and eat a meal with multiple things, because that’s just too much food all at once.

At any rate, the portion sizes in most restaurants would feed a herd of camels. I immediately cut everything in half (or even fourths, at some places!) eat the small portion I’ve set aside, and PLAN on taking the rest for later.

Plus, consider this: When you eat something delicious like ice cream, the first bite is incredible. Each subsequent bite is less enjoyable, until after ten bites you aren’t really enjoying the flavor so much as you are just sitting there automatically sticking more into your piehole. So eat eight bites of ice cream and put it back in the freezer. Go back to it later in the day if you want. In the end, you have eaten the same amount of ice cream but enjoyed it more.
