@Westcoaster

People here hate you because of your demented responses like that.

@Dis Nigga

Spot-on, but change your name back to you-know-what. You were ‘less disliked’ with the previous moniker.

Westcoaster would bring a tiny earthworm while Eve would be hoping for an anaconda.

As for me, pre – European North America.

Oh Shit! I forgot to answer the QOTD.

Early to mid 70’s in the U.S. All the benefits of modern society, but before the PC idiocy set in.

Norman Rockwell’s America. 1940’s and 1950’s when the U.S. reached her apex (I just barely missed it by 20 – 30 + years, oh well):

I would want to relive my earlier life as a Confederate soldier, risking my life daily while slaughtering Yankees at every opportunity.. What could be better that that? Fuck those politically correct bastards…So I would live in the deep south and shoot anyone that comes near my abode. And why? Well that should be obvious..Wild pit bulls have to die,,,quickly,,, Face it ..Secession is the only way out..and Lord I just can’t go out that door….

I would like to be a contemporary of Jesus 2000 years ago and write a Gospel like Luke. I believe everyone is living “John’s” Revelation and David Wilkerson’s “The Vision”.

Oooops! I forgot the “why (s)”. Innocence. Patriotism. Quality of life. Strong middle class. Hope for the future. Burgeoning technology. Low inflation. And when a dollar could really buy you something.

Otherwise, the 1960’s. It would have been fun to shoot some slopes and then come home to Woodstock.

Uncircumcised, you lived in Woodstock?

What is a television apparatus to man, who has only to shut his eyes to see the most inaccessible regions of the seen and the never seen, who has only to imagine in order to pierce through walls and cause all the planetary Baghdads of his dreams to rise from the dust.

Dis Negroe – No! I did not live during Woodstock but I would have went. Even though the pot was weaker and the acid was stronger. Don’t judge me, bro. With North Korea, Iran etc – it’s hard to live under the fear of the bomb. But this is the world that we live in. So says my mom:

Live anytime in history?
Today!
Want to live at anytime when medical care wasn’t what it was today? Not me and not by a long shot.
Want to live before internet when I and you and most everyone else was an uninformed ignoramus manipulated by the MSM? Not me.
Want to have been a great politician, captain, or scholar? Not me. Look into their personal lives and you won’t find one you’d want to suffer their lives and successes with.
It’s getting better all the time – believe it.

I was born in 1953. Therefore, I kinda lived in that era. It was nice …. but, not THAT nice!

I’m with rhs jr.

I’d want to live in the 33 year time span coinciding with the GREATEST influence in the “Western” hemisphere …. Jesus Christ.

I’d want to be there at the moment of his conception. Was there a Roman soldier involved or ….. no one?

I’d want to be there during his three year ministry. Did he walk on water …. or, did he just know where the rocks were.

I’d want to be there at his burial. I would stay away for three days. Did he really rise from the deaad …. or, was it all a scam?

Then I would write The Gospel According To Stucky ….. and give you all the COMPLETE truth. Two thousand years later you’s all know it was me who wrote it because of all the “fucks” and other colorful metaphors —- “Holy shit! He’s fucken’ alive!!”

.
Alternately, I would be choose the birth of Mohammed. I would have a knife with me and sacrifice the little fucker to Moloch. Allahsnackbar!

@Stucky

If we lived when Christ did, how many of us would have heeded his call to ‘follow me’? I suspect that a majority of us would have been with the great herd that shouted: “CRUCIFY HIM!”.

I’m glad that I live now with 20/20 hindsight. It’s much easier to see the truth.

Mid to late period Hunter Gatherers 100,000 years ago to about 12,000 years ago in North America. For the simple, honest lifestyle. It might have short but it would be an honest life.

or

Born late 1920’s/early 1930’s. Split my time between Spain and Western USA. Because I’d get to experience a fantastic period of western history and possibly get paid to fly the A-12/SR-71 for a living then check out before it all fell apart.

Seeing Krakatoa go off from a safe distance and immediately upwind would be pretty damned cool too!

Being one of Attila the Hun’s merry men would have been an exciting job.

Right now , the good old days were probably not all that Rosey .Life has been very hard for most of history. Until recently most lived off the land.Could be very difficult just to put food on the table.

My family’s name is French/Canadian and loosely translated means, lives in a ditch, so I think I’ll stay right where I am thank you.

Stucky is on track for a new QOTD, if you knew what you knew and could go back in time to change history, what time and who?

I finished Kings book, 11-23-63, going back in time to save Kennedy, interesting.

America in the 1890’s.

Almost unlimited freedom to be whatever you wanted to be and the liberty to pursue whatever you wanted to pursue without artificial restrictions preventing it.

If not during the time of Jesus so I could see and hear him, then I would want to witness the Great Flood with Noah, as long as he let me on the boat!

Another great time, the 1660s during Charles II’s Restoration. Everybody got wild after the Puritan rule of Cromwell. Well, at least the royals and their friends did, so only if I was in that group. It still sucked for the peasants.
