Have we gone so far down the rabbit hole that we can’t point out to this woman what is patently obvious without being cast as a meanie. It is rhetorical question. Of course the answer is clear. It is sad to see a young attractive woman turning herself into a freak show. I have seen this close up. A young lady I know who ran away from home at 17 and is doing much the same. It has been a never ending string of catastrophies. She just posted a picture of new tattoo. An anchor that covers entire forearm. I have no answers as to how to help people like this. They can’t work because they harm and disfigure themselves. Most depend on welfare, families or loved ones get by. Yet those social workers that are there to help only enable more of this behaviour. Like a dog chasing it’s tail it seems never ending and pointless at same time.

Abused children already see themselves as relatively worthless, damaged goods. The cutting is a coping mechanism, not a good one, but children from abusive households usually don’t have the benefit of mature guidance and emotional support. The confidence is in refusing to feel ashamed about it, even knowing that many, like some here, will see them as “sick” rather than “injured”. Mighty Christian of them.

Actually, I am a physician plus my ex-wife was borderline, which I figured out too late obviously. My advice: It’s a real disorder and stay far far away from them.

My experience also included a woman who is a control freak, and the mother of my child, a daughter who was born before I suspected the deadly nature of control freaks. She managed to turn my daughter against me and, with the help of her Judeo-Bolshevik boyfriend, managed to drive my daughter to near suicide – as I, and police, describe a “cutting” incident. I learned about this, and more, about 4 years after the cutting. Her Judeo-Bolshevik boyfriend couldn’t restrain bragging about what he did – and the mother became extremely furious when she learned that I had been told.

Psychiatry is real, and there is a lot of ‘science’ in neuroscience. The study and treatment of brain chemistry disorders is frustrating because it is in such a primitive stage compared to many other areas of medicine.
Even the term ‘brain chemistry disorders’ was a new concept until the 1950’s. We have more to learn about the brain than we do about the oceans.
