QUOTE OF THE DAY

“It is only when the people become ignorant and corrupt, when they degenerate into a populace, that they are incapable of exercising the sovereignty. Usurpation is then an easy attainment, and an usurper soon found. The people themselves become the willing instruments of their own debasement and ruin. Let us, then, look to the great cause, and endeavor to preserve it in full force. Let us by all wise and constitutional measures promote intelligence among the people as the best means of preserving our liberties.”

James Monroe

Fat chance of promoting intelligence in this society.

Hasn’t there been an 80/20 rule all along anyway?

I tried to take the old-time 7-8th grade test that has been

on line periodically. I did not shine…and I have been

a prolific reader, and negotiated a science degree in

college.

How long would it take to travel an hour away if you

are driving at 60 mi/h? People struggled with that,

and many could not arrive at the answer. (internet joke)

Really, they couldn’t.

Suzanna,

What they used to call an eighth grade education the now call a Bachelors degree.

Seriously.
