As far as I’m concerned if you’re on welfare and can’t pay your own way that should disqualify you from pet ownership. It’s not a RIGHT it’s a privilege.

I am sure dogs and cats are signed up for “welfare.”
Inadvertent research (nursing college requirement) at a local
main/major welfare sign-up center yielded some insight into
the system.
Perhaps 100% of the desks/interview stations are womaned
by blacks. 95% of the “clients” are black. The varieties of
“aid” are legion. Including cash and checks for emergencies.
These benefits are given at the discretion of the gov employee.
There is raging fraud in motion.
I have had a running argument with my Mr. He is for abolishing
ALL welfare. I still think some limited aid is required in a civilized society,
if only as bridge to private charity. There are people in my area that live
in their cars. And there are people that seek these folks out and figure
out ways to provide even minimal shelter.
I would suggest that people who work, have jobs and pay taxes, be voters.
People that are supported by the society (life long and cradle to grave)
be disallowed from voting. Is that a bad idea?

Suzie, Social workers have a lot of power. It used to be that they were educated people. Now, teachers, social workers, child welfare, food stamps workers seem to be flacks with political marching orders. The border patrol is in the process of being nutted the same way. Pretty soon all government agencies will be womanized by emasculated drones. Hence the term government drone.

Suzanna, you will need to repeal the 24th Amendment to the Constitution to achieve your goal. Although I agree that would be a good thing, I don’t think there’s a chance in hell of that happening. The neo-liberals would mobilize the FSA to make sure the states could never ratify.
