Answer is that you’re looking at it.
The water. Couldn’t ask for a flatter surface devoid of obstacles. Make some floating targets, use the BOATS on shore to tow them out, anchor them, then affix wind flags.
Best thing is, when you’re done you just pull the targets back in and your “rifle range” is now a fishing spot.

I keep looking at this photo and it looks like heaven to me. For target practice, I would just shoot at any strange boats coming in too close.
On another note, I keep seeing “INTJ” popping up on TBP. So, I searched the archives to take the test Admin posted on 9/3/2015.
Who down arrowed me? If you ever got a bad ass place like that, you want to wander around looking like Thurston fucking Howell the third, not some ragamuffin

Yep. It’s not my dream house if it doesn’t have a 1000 yard range.
Billy, I wouldn’t be concerned about ricochets because I wouldn’t be shooting in the direction of anything on the other shore anyway. I personally wouldn’t shoot targets on the water because sometimes I like to shoot for smallest groups and that would be hard to do if the target is floating but I admit would add a welcome challenge. My favorite thing to do though is ring steel at distances ranging from 100-400 yards with a 24″ AR and it would take a lot of effort to have a few dozen plates all over the lake.
A radio controlled boat towing a platform with Tannerite would be a lot of fun too.
