Question of the Day, Apr 20.

No pot question on 4/20? The horror! Will Trump hit 1,237? If so, will the morons at the GOP still try to screw him?

I see no reason why Trump can’t get to 1,237 delegates. As TBP shows in a post also published today, Trump has adopted a new, more polished, more “diplomatic” persona and this (even if a cunning, calculated maneuver with no depth beyond cosmetics) may be enough to affect enough people who have up to now been against him or unsure about him.

He has momentum, and he won a pivotal state – NY.

Would the GOP be willing to rob/cornhole/rip off/defraud/shaft/otherwise harm Trump? Yes – it wouldn’t think twice. It cares not about what Republican voters want/desire; it cares only about the perpetuation of a status quo which grants it and its vassals preferred circumstances. And they wish not to lose their current privileged status quo.

I think he will fall short of the 1237 needed, but he will probably get well over 1300 in the actual vote, because he will get more unpledged delegate support than expected.

It’s a TV show and has nothing to do with reality. These are just actors vying for the role of President in the White House show.

Depends if the Secret Service lets another guy into close cordon but this on has a gun. He will no doubt self identify as a cross-trans-animus-goth-bi-multi-purple-child.

It’s a math question.

Donald Trump has ——845 ———— needs 392 (to get to 1237)
Lyin’ Ted has ————-559 ———— needs 678

Delegates Left ——– 674

In other words, if Lyin’ Ted wins every remaining state, he still will NOT have enough delegates. Lyin’ Ted’s ONLY hope is for a brokered convention.

I’m sure Da Donald can get 392 from the below remaining states

Connecticut ——— 28
Maryland ————-38
Delaware ————16
Pennsylvania ——-71
Rhode Island —— 19
Indiana ————– 57
Nebraska ———– 36
West Virginia —— 34
Oregon ————- 28
Washington ——- 44
California ———- 172
Montana ———– 27
New Jersey ——- 51
New Mexico —— 24
South Dakota —- 29

Latest polls show Trump crushing everyone in the big remaining states:

Pa – 20% lead
CA – 18% lead
NJ – 28% lead
MD – 15% lead
Indiana doesn’t allow polls but he is surely ahead by double digits.

Trump gets 1,237+ and the GOP doesn’t stand in his way. If I was Donald I’d court the inevitably disaffected Sanders supporters. Trump and Bernie agree on such trade items such as repealing the TPP and have a few similarities on foreign policy. I believe many of the Sanders folks have no interest in Queen Clinton, right Westcoaster? You’ll get on the Trump train once the Bern subsides.

==========================

That’s 389 right there!

Of course, I have no idea if those are winner take all states … or maybe even don’t-fucken-bother-actually-voting states …. neither do I give a shit ……… but, the road to the nomination seems to be paved by Trump Asphalt, Inc.

Sure hope he can do it. But the general election worries me. All those desperate housewives who like Hellary but can’t think of a reason why or point to any worthy accomplishments.

James Wesley Rawles says if Hitlery gets the nomination, it will be doomsday for gun rights.

https://survivalblog.com/sage-advice-topping-off-ammo-and-rounding-out-gun-collections-before-july/

“It’s All About Timing

Keep in mind that the Democratic National Convention will be held the week of July 25, 2016. Get ready for its probable aftermath by topping off your ammo supplies, your magazine supplies, and rounding out your gun collections well in advance of that week. Because starting in the first week of August, if Hitlery Clinton is indeed nominated, it is safe to predict that battle rifles, full capacity magazines, and military caliber ammunition will have their prices at least double, almost overnight. So it is in your best interest and in the best interest of your progeny that you stock up in quantity, and do so soon.

Remember: Stocking up before a crisis is legitimate investing, but doing so during a crisis might be misconstrued as hoarding. Regardless, it would be foolish to buy these items after their prices are elevated. Leave that to the sheeple. – JWR”

RP primary voting means nothing to TPTB of the RP which is a private organization that makes it’s own rules (like the 8 states rule made to shut out Ron Paul delegates) and the rules and delegates will all be hand picked anti-Trump. My Florida county was won by Trump and will send 3 anti-Trump delegates to the Florida Convention determined to defeat him. The RP bosses are as crooked as a barrel of Chicago snakes. Trump and America needs to prepare for a severe screwing by the RP.

They’ll attempt to manipulate the numbers so he doesn’t get there. If that doesn’t work then yes, they will screw him.

I can’t imagine in the remaining states people will have enough motivation to vote for Cruz or the other guy knowing neither can win other then a fraud.

Trumps momentum will only grow at this point to put this to rest.

Trump gets to 1237, and Estab Republicans desert, form a 3rd party exclusively to take Trump votes in the general, and Hillary wins.

Trump does not get to 1237, Republican establishment shenanigans result in the nomination of (insert Establishment nominee not Cruz here) and a bunch of Republican or Republican leaning votes sit home in November. Hillary wins.

Trump becomes (overnight, as if by magic) a towering, august, viable Presidential candidate, uniting all Republicans and independents, leading Hillary in the polls by leaps and bounds. THe Democrats blatantly (with the help of the Republican establishment and the various members of the media) stuff ballot boxes from one end of the country to another, and Hillary wins.

Hillary (or the appointed Dem, if Hillary coughs up a lung. No, she will not be indicted) wins any way you cut it, it is a done deal.

There is no point in writing, reading, or thinking any more about this election. No point in voting for POTUS either. Plan for the screwing that you know is coming. Buy all the guns and ammunition you can, you might need it. I hope not,but you will not long have the opportunity.

stucky and admin,

be on the lookout for PA though, over 50 of the delegates are “unbound” so the voter in PA matters even less than most…

Avalon did some research and found out how the delegates in the 6th district (my district) are committed. Two are committed to Cruz and one to Trump. The other 5 say they will go with the popular vote.

admin,

thats better than the article i linked laid out but i still think trump will be kept out somehow just like i think hillary won’t see any consequences (and will be the next POS POTUS). logic and math say otherwise but we are dealing with govt and politics, not logic.

also i heard from my parents (who live out your way) that Bernie is holding a rally at The Oaks convention center. figured i’d let you know in case you wanted to swing by…
