“But I certainly will try to pay close attention to the Brexit vote next week on Thursday. I will be surprised if it is not surrounded by the usual shenanigans, in the markets and then some.
There is a great deal of power and money at stake. And the powerful are not shy about what they may be willing to do to hold on to what they believe to be their entitled positions and accustomed privileges. Even if into the abyss.”

“Britain was not a member of the governance of continental European for many, many years. Why is their membership in this body such an overwhelmingly important consideration now?
The issue is not Brexit itself so much, but the fragility of the system which is so threatened by it.
And at the heart of it all is the postwar financial hegemony, its Banks, and their retainers and enablers.
The passing of great houses, the rise and fall of those who would have power to write their lines in the pageant of history is often accompanied by change and uncertainty. And at the very end, and perhaps too late, knowledge.”

Yep, ol Frank pointing out a fundamental reason this country doesn’t remotely resemble the one given to us by the Founders. Those Renaissance men so thoroughly understood that immutable principle of receipt of training allowing an individual to make a living, whereby education, true rigorous inquiry into the big ideas, allows one to make a life.

“Well I might
Ride along the border
With my tweezers gleamin’
In the moon-lighty night”
” And then I’d
Get a cuppa cawfee
‘N give my foot a push . . .
Just me ‘n the pygmy pony
Over by the Dennil Floss Bush”

I ushered for one of his concerts at Boston Music Hall many moons ago. Ushers were required to be there hours before the scheduled beginning of the concert. I was not a hugh fan, but all I had to do was a simple seating job and a clean-up for a “free” concert. So, when the stage was set and the band were tweaking instruments, Zappa came out.
What seemed like practice on parts of songs were started at Zappa’s commands. He was vicious in criticisms. Unrelenting in small corrections. I was astounded. I had no idea how serious he showed himself to be about the music. It became apparent the he was more than a little intelligent. Many Roadies indicated that Zappa had strong anarchist positions.

hugh should have been huge, fat fingers
I got to see zappa when i was a teenager, at miami jai alai. He brought the burnt hendrix guitar, but it just sat on a stand, he never played it. This is my favorite zappa bit. Jack bruce kills it. http://thelowendbass.com/jack-bruces-bass-solo-with-zappa-is-worth-paying-attention-to/
