“You will be despised and held in contempt by the world for my sake. And at that time many will falter, and betray and despise one another. Self-proclaimed prophets will speak falsely, and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of many will grow cold. But those who stand firm to the end will be saved. And the good news will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”
Matt 24:9-14
This was in response to the Disciples asking Jesus in private when the end would come and what the signs would be.
The First thing he said was Mat 24:4 “And answering, Jesus said to them, See that not any leads you astray. ” -LITV, a warning that falsehood and deceptive teaching was the beginning of it.
Keep this in mind when someone tells you that no matter what is actually said they have the inside track and will tell you what it really means in spite of it.
