Uh…Ron Paul wants to restore America by restoring liberty. Trump wants to do it through the power of the State. I don’t know how they could be more different.

I think Ron Paul and Donald Trump have a similar message.

Paul’s message is more refined, educated. However he lacks the charisma to get elected POTUS.

Trump has the ‘flash’ that attracts the blue collar, disenfranchised voters.

One has to wonder why Bloomberg hates Trump so much? If Trump were truly an authoritarian, why wouldn’t he and Bloomberg the Nazi be best buddies?

If you were to “Restore America Now” …. that might very well make America great again.

In order to “Make America Great Again” … one would need to restore its core principles, such as, honoring the Constitution.

Therefore, I see no difference.

If there is a difference, it is merely in the style and delivery of the messenger.

1. Charisma.
2. Appealing to people based on facts and logic vs appealing to them based on emotion.
3. Humble vs. arrogant.

Winning vs. losing.

It takes certain qualities to win other than just the message no matter how important it is.

Ron Paul would often go into lengthy explanations, which aren’t good for soundbites nor the attention span or the current IQ of the masses. Ron Paul certainly “walked the walk” and didn’t have a bunch of flip flops from the past to refer to and he made a name for himself by being consistent.

But the simple and forceful slogans work. Plus tons of people are angry and Trump taps into that and reflects that in his speech. Paul was far too much like Mr. Rogers, nice guy and all but you don’t see him standing up and fighting for you. Trump is using time tested repetitive speaking strategies and although blasted as simplistic, this is what works for most people. Plus his message can be distilled into twitter and other soundbites, whereas complex descriptions of Libertarian principles often cannot be–at least on some issues.

Trump is aligned on trade deals, and globalistic warfare points of view–despite Ron Paul actively talking bad about Trump. It’s more than obvious that Liberaterianism may work for a world view, but it’s just not popular enough for idiots who want get off on controlling others via force (as long as they don’t have to get their hands dirty).
Libertarian sites like Reason blast trump worse than cankles. Often it turns into some dumbass purity test. As if that reflects reality somehow. Gary Johnson still ran against Paul, despite Paul being a better Libertarian than he ever was. At least this election cycle the matrix/smoking mirrors are being pulled back at least a bit, at least until Football season or whatever else people use to make themselves feel aligned with something to fulfill their ego needs.

Say Mike, you or one of the other big dogs need to check this out: http://www.activistpost.com/2016/07/democratic-national-convention-philly-not-told-media.html
They’re putting seat fillers in to replace Bernie delegates who’ve left or been kicked out of the convention in the name of “unity”.

Make America Great again is less libertarian, and less thought-out, than Restore America. Trump’s willingness to punch establishment rinos & dinos in the face, or kick them in the balls, has a lot of appeal to people who are aware of what a shitty, greedy and selfish job the political class has been doing for at least the last 20 years, and enjoy seeing Washington filth smacked around for damaging our country for a change.

Much as I like RP, and enjoyed his books, we’re at the point of “No more Mr. Nice Guy now” when it comes to voting for someone to stick-up for America again.

A lot of it is timing. I really wanted to see Trump run in 2012. It would have been a disaster. People weren’t ready. Dr Paul hasn’t trash talked Trump in a while. I think he’s pretty clear eyed right now. He was ahead of his time. Someone has to be first through the door. It was him. He took the abuse. That’s a noble thing. Jim’s right. To beat this requires a super aggressive person. This looks like our shot. More and more people seem to understand.

Paul didn’t want to win. He wanted his “teaching moment”. Trump wants only to win, and he has nothing of value to teach.

You know, when I made this comparison, I got zip comments. When a white guy makes the same comment, oh wow, look out – the light is blinding.

Fucking Stucky said he wanted to know what happened to me. Like you try to get serious and you get zero support and one asshole keeps calling you an assclown and depreciating all your opinions. Then you learn that another person has been appropriating your shit and not even thanking you or giving you credit for having one damn good idea.

I fully expect that one day somebody will say, OMG, Trump is not Reagan, he’s the Anti-Reagan, and that idiot will get the recognition and comments I never got.

Fuckers. Deluded fuckers.

And as a bonus, Stuck, I want to tell you why you feel less and less enthusiastic about commenting. There are plenty of crazy women out there that every guy has had one or two GF’s like that. They might think they love the bitch in question so much that they are willing to overlook her lies and cheating ways. The internal conflict that creates leaves the cuckold paralyzed, unable to formulate a thought for fear of admitting the truth to himself. Such is Drud’s and your affliction. Wake the fuck up.

I’m not afraid of any reply because you mindless bozos will not comment. That might threaten your Trumpist world view.

You need to add:

1. Stop all Musloid immigration – Zero allowed.
2. Deport all Muslims from the U.S. to the country of their choice; pay all expenses; pay a great price for their property.
3. Burn down all Mosques – good firefighter training vehicles.

bb, I don’t suppose you mean Hispanics, we’re only 40 million with some 11 to 15 million of questionable status.

Maggie might steal this idea but here goes, legalization is a moneymaker. Ask Gilberts. Folks think legalization is simply a matter of passing an amnesty and everybody is sprinkled with holy water and Presto, all is forgiven.

You have to pay lawyers and government fees, doctors, courts, it’s quite a business.

If you think Trump is not offering the protection racket to NATO countries with an eye to turning a profit, then you probably think illegals get a free ride.

Ron Paul believed in classical liberalism and American freedom based on the Constitution. No fed, no big government, traditional Christian values, no policing the world, etc.

Trump is for Trump. He is not anti-fed and is pro big government. He will increase the power of the state in a massive federal manner. Trump wants a big military.. for what purpose? Cutting waste? Not gonna happen. Trump is also pro lbgt. His VP supported the TPP! They call that competing economic messages..

Trump won’t make America great again.. only the American people through their own individual actions can.

Like with Mahatma Gandhi and Genghis Khan: Ganhdi couldn’t have inspired the Mongols to peacefully protest against China nor Genghis the Hindus to slaughter whole civilizations. America produced an over abundance of insipid maggots and sheeple below Ron Paul’s Political and Economic Genius even to inspire. But thanks to Obama, America now has a huge pool of poor down-trodden Whites screwed over by NYC&WDC; tired of being shoved to the back of the bus by Affirmative Action; we demand our fair chance at success and we are willing to work and fight harder than the Privileged Classes (with Righteous Anger to extract our justifiable revenge). Trump resonates with us like Joan of Arch did for the down-trodden French and our Founding Fathers did for the Colonist fed up with the English Elite; and the men who rallied to Charles Martel and El Cid to rid Europe of the Muslims. Sound the Trumpets for battle; our Blood is Up as Stonewall would say and we’re gonna stomp ass in November.

To understand Ron and Rand Paul, you have to possess an attention span, intellect and personal responsibility. Unfortunately, this is lacking in many muricans.

Their message may be somewhat similar, although Trump doesn’t have command of the Constitution. But his delivery is what sets them far apart. Trump knows how to speak to the common folk–forcefully and with conviction that Ron Paul never demonstrated.

“Such is Drud’s and your affliction. Wake the fuck up. ” ——- El Coyote

I read the paragraph preceding the quote, and I must say, I have no idea what the hell you’re talking about? You talk about “crazy women” and “bitch” and “her lies and cheating ways”. Are you equating these things with Ms Freud? If so, that’s crazy talk.

It was a better slogan. I’ll bet Trump regrets not having thought of it first.

Trump would have a do-over if he could. He’s used to that.

PS: Simple enough for you guys?

Ron Paul had a really terrible campaign and was to soft spoken.
Trump is loud and is saying mostly the right things. I wonder what this whole law and order stuff is about. Tanks and storm troopers? I see him winning and hope he isn’t as nuts as i wonder about.
