There is a well-documented pyschological effect of polls – people tend to want to side with a winner; popularity begets popularity. That’s why these pollsters have to tilt their polls so heavily in favor of Clinton: to prevent the Trump train from running over her completely and absolutely by the time the election arrives.

They do to the people who’ve grown rich by doing polls for money.

It’s not whether or not the polls matter in and of themselves, it’s the psychological effect they have on their audience in giving ‘credibility’ to, and confirmation of the authorised narrative. But reality can be a bitch.. I’m sure most here have run into this, I’ve seen it a couple of times and there’s vids on facetube as well. (I copied this from the comments). Kinda destroys that narrative:

Evidence from ‘The Truth Division’ shows that if you look at social media, Trump is killing Hillary!
=================================
Facebook
Trump: 10,174,358 Likes Clinton: 5,385,959 Likes
Trump has nearly double the amount of ‘Likes’ that Clinton has!
When comparing recent ‘live streams’ on Facebook:
Trump Live Stream Post — 135,000 likes, 18,167 shares, 1.5 million views

Trump is crushing Clinton.
=================================
Twitter
Trump: 10.6 million followers
Hillary: 8.1 million followers
Trump has 30% more Twitter followers — and they translate into real votes. A recent study confirmed that 70% of his followers are real supporters, and 90% of those real followers have a voting history.
Who knows if Hillary followers are even real?

=================================
Reddit
Trump: 197,696 subscribers
Hillary: 24,429 subscribers
Hillary for Prison: 55,228 subscribers
Hillary for Prison’s Reddit feed has more than double subscribers of Hillary’s Reddit page, equating to Trump having 700% more Reddit subscribers.
Hillary is proving that she is a terrible candidate. No one likes her and no one trusts her for very good reason but the media will not report without bias.

An honest, objectively written and administered poll has value – you can see how well your messages are being received. I no longer have any confidence that the MSM can write, administer or report a poll honestly, so polls have little if any value. And this cuts both ways – as I cannot believe Hillary is up I cannot believe Trump is up (when / if he is); you cannot derive comfort from liars when they agree with you either.
We shall see in November, if Hillary manages not to MedEvac out of the running before then.

“We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality — judiciously, as you will — we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.” ― Karl Rove

Let me quote a great man, Joseph Stalin. In addition to being a mass murderer he had a wicked sense of humor. Stalin said it does not matter who votes. What matters is who counts the votes. Same thing with polls. It does not matter what the poll claims. What matters is who is doing the polling. There are a million ways to twist polling data and you can bet virtually all of the big polling organizations are in the tank for Hillary, are incompetent, are using outdated polling methods, or a combination of these. I believe Trump is ahead of Hillary and the Democrats and their friends are well aware of that fact. This is why they have their peons in the media dancing as fast as they can to convince the sheep that everybody is with HIllary so they should be, too. Of course, they have overplayed their hand and it will not work in the end.

” Trump whacked by another damaging poll

The Republican nominee’s backslide shows no sign of easing.

By Nick Gass

08/16/16 09:37 AM EDT

The blows just keep coming for Donald Trump. The Republican nominee was hit by a new poll on Tuesday that showed him badly lagging in the crucial swing state of Virginia, underscoring the backslide that Trump’s campaign can’t seem to stop.

The Washington Post poll found Hillary Clinton leading Trump by a whopping 14 points among registered voters, 52 percent to 38 percent, in the state, and by eight points among likely voters, 51 percent to 43 percent.

While Trump has been a volatile candidate throughout his presidential campaign, the string of self-inflicted controversies since the conventions have presented a stark reality — Clinton appears to be breaking away.”

You can’t deny that there is a psychological effect (I’m with the winner, I don’t want to be with the loser) of polls, but there is now another factor involved and that is, to what degree do people actually believe the honesty/accuracy of polls? If people come to see polling as just another tool to manipulate and control their vote, it then may have the opposite affect and people may react by becoming more determined not to be swayed by what the polls say. That my stimulate the emergence of the “Fuck You” or “Fuck The System” vote.

If Hillary is doing so good why is it that only one person I talked to lately is currently planning on voting for Hillary? Even the people who have been lifelong Democrats aren’t going to vote for Hillary, they’d rather not vote at all.

People tend to associate with others who think like themselves, a birds of a feather thing.

As for me, I’m pretty much cross cultural since I find myself rather boring and seek out people who think differently than I do and differently from each other to make life more interesting.

From what I see, older single women (widows or never marrieds), are at least 2/3 Hillary, younger women who aren’t established in life through marriage or career yet are significantly pro Hillary, older people (55+ and especially 65 seem about 50/50 Hillary to Trump, and younger men whether married or not seem to be mostly not really interested either way but are probably going to be influenced more by their women than by the issues or personalities of the election.

I’d say probably about 50/50 overall with a likelihood of Hillary coming out on top if my associations are at all representative of the voting public (which, of course, they may not be).

The MSM are paid propagandist and have earned the moniker Media Whores. The polls that should matter (voting booths) are crooked in enough places to swing an election; Trump knows this and if elected might be our only chance to fix that. Anyone planning on voting for Harpy needs to consider the state of their reprobate Soul: we don’t have a choice of two evils but a choice of a patriotic blowhard and a Demon possessed Evil Witch. God is watching this election closely; it will be very fateful for the nation and individuals.
