Bernie would be the only choice if the party wanted to do the “right thing” and actually be a little bit democratic rather than a total mockery of democracy. For this reason and others, Bernie has no chance.
Kaine is a POS that no one knows. He would lose to Trump.
Biden is a POS that people are familiar with. He’s about as evil as Hillary but most people don’t see that. If he stepped in he would probably defeat Trump.
My hope is that illary stays as the candidate and loses with only about 25% of the popular vote.

I don’t know that ILLARY is out of the running, she may have a miracle from God and recover just in time for the Nov. 8th (s)election. That is the way it works here in the matrix, like buildings that fall down at near free fall speed or turn to dust.
If for some reason the old bat should be replaced, I guess the nearest billionaire would do. That would be the big win for the billionaire class AGAIN having only billionaires as the choice. That is also how it usually goes. FWIW, a regular millionaire funded by a billionaire would also be acceptable.

Both have similar platforms so it’s a tough decision. Go with whichever has the most mass or whichever is set to land closer to your location. If we can determine composition ahead of time, I’d go with iron/nickel over stony chondrite any day of the week.
I doubt Hillary will drop out as long as she can manage to stay alive to remain on the ticket. She wants that first Woman President thing really, really seriously. I can see here resigning a short while after taking office, though, since the pressures of the Presidency would be too much for her to handle.
Here’s what I think could happen if it looks like she is sure to lose: The Dem leadership -both the official ones and the real ones like Soros and a few others- will force her out and try to put someone in they think can win, changing both their players and the rules midstream to give them a shot at victory. A “do over” as such.
No precedent for this and rather questionable if it would even be legal since voting has already started and it’s too late to change mail in and other paper ballots for the most part in most States.
Be interesting to watch as it unfolds if it does go down this way, but better to watch from a distance than it will be up close and personal IMO.

Here’s my advance comment: Hillary was effective and made a convincing argument. Trump’s opposition enabled her to roll over him and gain altitude. Her commanding presence in the face of a vituperative Trump removed all doubt that she is the man for the job. On election night, Trump phoned Putin to apply for a job in his cabinet. “I have some juicy state secrets from the presidential briefings.” he assured Vlad.
Trump has no secrets from briefings that Hillary hasn’t already sold via campaign contributions from the Clinton Foundation. Don’t you read the newspapers?
What would happen if Hillary died on election day, and the news became known before the polls closed? Presumably votes for a corpse would be invalid, but which would those be? Her deputy could not just claim the crown, especially if the result was close. Lots of scope for argument I suppose.
