The Deep State Blues

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

Lest you wonder, not only did I not vote for Mr. Trump (or Hillary), but I relished heaping opprobrium on him during the election campaign. Just so you know, I’m not advocating for him, but I’m alarmed that the Deep State (the White House + the Intel Agency gang) now appears to be trying to hack the electoral college vote against him.

The headline deployed everywhere last week, “Russia Hacks Election,” was designed by the Deep State players to deviously lead the broadly dim public to think that Russia somehow interfered with the balloting process, which was not possible since voting machines are not hooked up to the internet. And then it was repeated endlessly by the cable news networks and the newspapers, under the number one rule of propaganda: that if you repeat something often enough, the public will swallow it.

This dishonest meme was also designed to distract the public from the substance of the emails disclosed by WikiLeaks — namely, the scamming and trickery of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and the influence-peddling of Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation, which had her flirting with indictment last summer, and only reinforced her already-established public image as an unscrupulous person.

The New York Times especially worked the “Russia Hacks Election” story to a fare-the-well, saying in its Sunday edition:

The Central Intelligence Agency has concluded that Moscow put its thumb on the scale for Mr. Trump through the release of hacked Democratic emails, which provided fodder for many of the most pernicious false attacks on Mrs. Clinton on social media.

False attacks? What, that Hillary’s cronies put the DNC’s “thumb on the scale” against Bernie Sanders? That Donna Brazille gave Hillary debate questions beforehand? That as Secretary of State Hillary gave more face-time to foreign supplicants based on their contributions to the Clinton Foundation, and expedited arms deals for especially big givers? That she collected millions in speaking fees for sucking up to Too-Big-To-Fail bankers? That The Times and The WashPo and CNN reporters were taking direction from Hillary’s PR operatives?

Consider, too, how the Deep State “Russia Hacks Election” meme was ramped up to top volume coincidentally the week before the electoral college vote, as a last-ditch effort was launched by the old-line media, the diehard Hillary partisans, and a bunch of Hollywood celebrities, to persuade electoral college delegates to switch their votes to deprive Trump of his election victory.

President Obama did his bit to amplify the message by coloring Russian President Vladimir Putin as being behind the so-called hacking because “not much happens in Russia without, you know, Vladimir Putin,” just like not much happened in old Puritan New England without the involvement of Old Scratch. So now we have an up-to-date Devil figure to stir the paranoid imaginations of an already divided and perturbed public.

Hillary and her supporters have vehemently asserted that “seventeen intelligence agencies” agree with the assessment that Russia hacked the election. It might be greater news to the American people to hear that there actually are seventeen such agencies out there. Perhaps Mrs. Clinton or Mr. Obama might explain exactly what they are beyond the CIA, the FBI, the DIA, the NSA, and DHS. Personally, I feel less secure knowing that there are so many additional surveillance services sifting through everybody’s digital debris trail.

There’s been some chagrin among more prudent observers that neither the various Intel gang chiefs, including James Clapper, overall Director of National Intelligence, nor the White House have provided a shred of evidence that WikiLeaks got the Hillary emails from the Russians. One might even suppose that we discovered the hack by hacking the Russians, perhaps even Mr. Putin’s personal iPhone — but, wait a minute… we don’t intrude on other nations’ business. We don’t use the internet to spy (!) on anybody.

It will be interesting to see how Mr. Trump gets along with the Intel gang when (and if) he actually makes it into the oval office. It’s nice to think that he will fire a bunch of them, and then fire a bunch more, and maybe take a good hard look at these seventeen security and surveillance agencies and maybe shut a few of them down. In the meantime, their activity begins to look like the attempted coup d’état I warned about a few months ago.

Forgive me for changing the subject so briskly, but there was another front page piece in The New York Times on Sunday that kind of said it all about where that Old Gray Lady’s collective head is at these days. Behold this quote from the story What Women Really Think of Men:

As the country prepares to revert to white male rule, our common condition for all but eight of the last 240 years, we should think harder about why we assume so little of men, including ones we may be married to. Too many men don’t prove those expectations wrong, and are rewarded anyway with prizes like the presidency.

Unfortunately, it’s not just “barren cat ladies”, but almost all of women. Deep inside, they do despise men because men are so easily (and even eagerly) offer themselves to be used and manipulated.

I’d like to see some definitive proof that the Russians -that would be their government, not some hacker independent of it operating through a hacked or private Russian server- actually hacked the DNC or any other e-mail system.

If it is provided I’s like to then see Hillary prosecuted for making it possible with her illegal and insecure private server.

And if any other server was also hacked, I’d like to see its owners prosecuted as well for even having that information on them, an obvious violation of national security with classified information being compromised.

Wonder if Obama and the Democrats would join in the call for this, or at least help make an issue of it in the MSM?

Yes Mr. Quinn, but the pussy didn’t bother to vote, so why do you give him a forum?

As a computer scientist, I’d like them to release a lot more details. ‘Hacking’ means nothing, sorta like ‘Affordable’ (as in the Affordable Care Act). How did they detect entry into the server? What leads them to believe it was the Russian government? How do they know what information was taken Without this, it’s plain bullshit.

Obama is going to stay in Washington. Sounds like he is going to setup his own shadow government.

Ex-presidents become more popular by fading away. Obama will hang around hectoring people and reminding everyone why Trump was needed. What appeal he had (mostly by being trim, relatively athletic and knowing how to work his smile) has never been transferable. Ask Martha Coakley or Hillary Clinton. He’s going to be an anchor on their 2020 nominee – whoever she is.

That “hack” was probably a clandestine copy to a USB drive, not an internet based intrusion.

I doubt it was a Russian that would have done that.

But no presented evidence leaves everything as speculation at this point.

All the “hack” noise is a natural reaction, as big Democrat donors lost huge money on this campaign. Hillary’s loss cannot be blamed on her shitty campaign and on the incompetence of the Democrat operatives, pollsters, “journalists”, consultants, lobbyists et al. who ran the campaign, because such blame assessment would impede the future flow of donor dollars. So, to appease donors, the Democrat insiders blame the return of Boris and Natasha Badenov as omnipotent cyber-warriors, working for Trump. This farcical “deus ex machina” will get no traction past today.

We can think whatever we want about big-money Democrat donors, but they are not stupid. They know they made a bad investment. Many now fear retribution from Trump. There will be an inquest, because that’s what happens when large sums are lost. However, the results of this inquest will not be published in the NY Times.

The “hack” story is being pushed by the Podesta/Brazile crowd who have been discredited and stand to lose money and influence within Democrat circles. This is another “inside the Beltway” story reflecting what will be an intense struggle upcoming for control of the vast Democrat party money machine. While the NY Times peddled this hack bullshit, the entire elite of Silicon Valley showed up last week at Trump Tower to kiss and make up. QED.

Well, there was your inquest. I liked this excerpt from the article best:

“A lot of the bundlers and donors still are in shock and disbelief by what happened. They’re looking for some introspection and analysis about what really happened, what worked and what didn’t,” said Ken Martin, chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party and a top campaign bundler himself. “It may take some time to do that, but people are still just scratching their heads.”

Or, in the words of a Midwestern fundraiser who’s kept in touch with fellow donors, “A lot of people are saying, ‘I’m not putting another fucking dime in until someone tells me what just happened.’”

“The “hack” story is being pushed by the Podesta/Brazile crowd who have been discredited”

these two names will never be uttered by any political machine going forwards, they are damaged goods.

we must also thank uncle Vlad, who shined a light into DC/cockroachville, and we the people finally got to watch these lizard aliens scurry for the cover of darkness.

Greetings,

That the elite cockroaches continue to double down and throw good money after bad says an awful lot about what is happening. Here is my take on what is going to happen next:

A lot of people are going to be suicided in 2017. After all, 1/4 of our GDP is government spending and the puppet-masters paid good money to ensure that it would be they that would be on the receiving end of this largess and the power that comes with it.

First to go, I believe, will be Podesta followed by Weiner. Their child raping escapades are now more of a liability than these two are worth. I expect them to be gone by Spring. Bill Clinton, too, wont make it through the year.

This was their last opportunity to protect themselves.

JHK,

Thank you, I think.
Unfortunately the Dem machine is in disarray. Money lost,
hopes for a monarchy dashed. Russia at fault? Ridiculous,
and a kindergarten level gambit. Of course, dumb Americans
will believe any thing, especially if it is pounded by big media.

We have to wait on Trump. The speculation, the supposed motivations,
and the (even) dire predictions are giving us a headache. Then again,
we want to pay attention. We are either going to crash into a mountain,
or thump hard on the canyon floor. A world-wide financial crisis is looming.
We have to stay alert so we will know when it is time to board up the windows.
The pension scandal/pension plans broke, will hit the high and the low.
The teachers will take it the hardest. Or will it be police and fireman?
Add the 30 million gov workers, and you will see a real crisis. Got gold?

that was a lost opportunity to use the word whom.

I do not think the average person will see any riches

Thanks Jim, but when Stalin is running against Nixon, refusing to vote for Nixon is just infantile virtue signaling and a way to avoid adult responsibility.

Why is it that the dhimmies are so upset over the “Russian” hack and haven’t bothered to contest the substance of what was revealed?

What is important here was whoever released this information is far more honest than our politicians and especially more accurate than the Lying Media.

So it turns out that the big democratic donors thought they were making an investment, or purchasing influence, when all they were really doing was placing a bad bet.

I have always scoffed at the campaign finance laws. All the voters need is disclosure of who gives how much to who, and they can make up their own minds. Having the largest campaign war chest can easily become a liability in voter’s minds.
