Trump Aims To Cut The Neocon Deep State Off At The Knees

Submitted by Charles Hugh-Smith via OfTwoMinds blog,

The Neocon-Neoliberals must be fired and put out to pasture before they do any more harm.

I have long held that America’s Deep State–the unelected National Security State often referred to as the Shadow Government–is not a unified monolith but a deeply divided ecosystem in which the dominant Neocon-Neoliberal Oligarchy is being challenged by elements which view the Neocon-Neoliberal agenda as a threat to national security and the interests of the United States.

I call these anti-Neocon-Neoliberal elements the progressive Deep State.

If you want a working definition of the Neocon-Neoliberal Deep State, Hillary Clinton’s quip–we came, we saw, he died–is a good summary: a bullying, arrogance-soaked state-within-a-state pursuing an agenda of ceaseless intervention while operating a global Murder, Inc., supremely confident that no one in the elected government can touch them.

Until Trump unexpectedly wrenched the presidency from the Neocon’s candidate. The Neocon Deep State’s response was to manufacture a mass-media hysteria that Russia had wrongfully deprived the Neocon’s candidate (Hillary Clinton) of what was rightfully hers: the presidency. (The Neocons operate their own version of the divine right of Political Nobility.)

The Neocon-Neoliberals’ strategy was to delegitimize Trump’s victory by ascribing it to “Russian Hacking,” a claim that remains entirely unsubstantiated. Now that this grasping-at-straws Hail Mary coup attempt by a politicized C.I.A. and its corporate media mouthpiece has failed, the Neocon Deep State is about to find out the Progressive Deep State finally has a president who is willing and able to cut the Neocon-Neoliberals off at the knees.

Trump Is Working On A Plan To Restructure, Pare Back The CIA And America’s Top Spy Agency.

If you want documented evidence of this split in the Deep State–sorry, it doesn’t work that way. Nobody in the higher echelons of the Deep State is going to leak anything about the low-intensity war being waged because the one thing everyone agrees on is the Deep State’s dirty laundry must be kept private.

As a result, the split is visible only by carefully reading between the lines, by examining who is being placed in positions of control in the Trump Administration, and reading the tea leaves of who is “retiring” (i.e. being fired) or quitting, which agencies are suddenly being reorganized, and the appearance of dissenting views in journals that serve as public conduits for Deep State narratives.

I have also long held that Wall Street’s political dominance is part and parcel of the Neocon-Neoliberal ideology, and the progressive elements in the Deep State also want to (finally) limit the power of the big banks and the rest of the Wall Street crowd.

Is the Deep State Fracturing into Disunity? (March 14, 2014)

The split in the Deep State is a reflection of the profound political disunity that is occurring in the U.S. In other words, it isn’t just disunity in the masses or the political elites–it’s a division in all levels of our society.

The cause is not difficult to discern: the concentration of wealth and political power in the hands of the few is generating levels of inequality that threaten democracy, the social order and the vitality of the economy:

As someone who has studied the Deep State for 40 years, I find it ironic that so many self-identified “progressives” do not understand that the U.S. military is now the Progressive element and it’s the civilian leadership–the Neocon-Neoliberals– who are responsible for leading the nation into quagmires and handing the keys to the chicken coop to the wolves of Wall Street.

When military leaders such as Eric Shinseki questioned the Neocon’s insane “strategy” in Iraq–essentially a civilian fantasy of magical-thinking–the Neocons quickly cashiered him (Shinseki was a wounded combat veteran of Vietnam who rose through the ranks–the exact opposite of the coddled never-get-my-hands-dirty Elites in the civilian Neocon-Neoliberal leadership.)

To the degree that the U.S. has become a Third World Oligarchy owned and controlled by a financial-political Elite, then the U.S. military is one of the few national institutions that hasn’t been corrupted by top-down politicization and worship of Wall Street.

Shinseki et al. did not amass a fortune from Wall Street like Bill and Hillary Clinton. The simple dictum–follow the money–maps the lay of the land rather neatly.

The Neocon-Neoliberals have run the nation into the ground. They must be fired and put out to pasture before they do any more harm. That includes the Fake-“Progressives” and the fake-“Conservatives” alike who have enriched themselves within the Neocon-Neoliberal Oligarchy.

If you are surprised that the Democratic Party, the C.I.A. and Wall Street are all hugging each other in the same cozy Neocon-Neoliberal Oligarchic embrace, you shouldn’t be. Open your eyes.

As usual, he hits the nail on the head. Trump needs to take a flamethrower to these bastards on Day One. And he should be prepared to use the military, police and armed patriotic citizens if there is an manufactured, illegal attempt to remove him from office. It is time to clear the decks. The sight of a few thousand Neo-Con’s, SJW’s, liberal Democrat/Progressives and other human garbage dangling from ropes might cause them to pause and consider their positions. It is going to come to this one way or another so, the sooner the better. It is time we discarded the silly idea that there will be a peaceful way to save our country. Trump will do his best but civil war is on the horizon, folks. Deal with it.

Damn straight a lot of bloodletting is on the horizon.

Especially when the new boss’s promises turn out just as sincere as “I’m gonna shut down Guantanamo in my first 100 days” and “Mission Accomplished” and “I will not sign that NAFTA deal” and “Read my lips, no new taxes” and….

One of the things that gives me great pause, however, is the precise definition and application of “law and order” during the hard times to come. Seems like a century ago a “law” was passed promising only to “tax the rich,” but seems to have trickled down a touch, and the “order” has recently been bulked up a bit by training enforcers in the Israeli methods of “policing” and distributing military equipment far and wide across the country…

Trump was openly threatened by that weasel Chuck Schumer – http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-01-04/did-chuck-schumer-just-threaten-donald-trump
the other day on national television. That tells me that Trump is starting to worry some very powerful interests. I know Trump does not go in to things without the objective to win, however I am sure glad that he has 1. his own private security, and 2. Is a known conceal carrier. The “intelligence” community is at war with itself right now, but unfortunately the dark parts of it are 100% committed to “the mission”, and that mission is NOT to repatriate this country from the clutches of the deep state. Trump will need to CRUSH them immediately upon legal swearing in. Don’t even give them the time or ability to Kennedy him. Think sending “mad dog” and some of his loyals in to the CIA, NSA, and various other operations on Jan 21, and demanding, at gun point if necessary, all of the black ops and their participants, as well as freeze any bank accounts through executive order that are found as “slush funds” for wet work within these organizations. The only way this whole apparatus can be brought down is to get to them first.

Charles Hugh-Smith’s analysis concerns me. For him to fail to mention the neo-con picks in Trump’s own cabinet makes my skeptical mind question his intentions!

I am usually in agreement with most of everything Smith says. Unfortunately, the whole charade that Trump is somehow not part of this same “elite” global club is disturbing and misleading to say the least!

After all, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner is aligned with the Israeli Likud party that screams NEO-CON! Not to mention his cabinet appointments like Gen. Michael Flynn who supports the Neo-Con agenda and who co-authored the book “The Field of Flight: How We Can Win the Global War Against Radical Islam and Its Allies” reiterates many of the talking points of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) which was the playbook for the NeoCons under the Bush and Obama administrations!

C’MON MAN! The level of deceit and social engineering is astounding! We need to be BETTER than this! We still let party politics and idealistic fervor cloud our logic and prevent us from seeing the rouse!
The military will not save us! They simply follow orders! The scary thing is, after what Obama has done to the military and American-interests, those within the military who have had to bite their collective tongues for years and restrain their desire for blood, will be let loose on America and all the manufactured polarization of Americans will be a spectacle to behold!

Much Weeping and gnashing of teeth indeed!

So, in your ‘magical’ world Trump can pick 28 year old Army Captains for senior posts and the Senate will confirm them? How do you think one rises to flag officer rank in the military? Never say anything? Don’t attend any of the DoD service schools? Hold no commands? Don’t be absurd!

The universe of people who can hold cabinet level positions and be confirmed by the Senate is not huge. No one reaches high position in this country without having to ‘kow tow’ to those who are above them. You can’t even get into an elite college without doing the SJW grovel before the admissions office. Put down on your c.v. you collected signatures for the NRA or defund Planned Parenthood and your application goes into the circular file.

And those, sir, are excellent examples of why there are no bloodless ways out of this mess.

The problems are so entrenched that the whole process has been undermined, and those responsible won’t just give up power and leave if asked. And I, for one won’t, and couldn’t afford to, up and leave, so that leaves the situation at loggerheads…

You just don’t put those things down on your application.
Or you go to state schools. STEM in state schools with ABET accreditation is pretty much as good as going to prestigious Ivy League colleges – because gravity, radiation, electricity, chemical potential, yield strength, etc. are pretty much taught the same way all over the country: using textbooks with worked examples, taught by professors who generally have actually DONE something as opposed to listen to lectures completely. You might not be exposed to as much research at state schools (but many do just as much or more than Ivy League), but you will be able to balance a chemical equation, build a four-bar mechanism, design a transformer or dam or whatever else is needed, and get it right.
Mine is an educated family; both sets of our parents got college degrees. My dad got an M.S. in mechanical engineering, her dad got a BSME and MBA; both wives had degrees. 4/5 of my siblings (including me) got Bachelor’s degrees, some more than one; I got an M.S. and a Ph.D. in STEM. My wife has her B.S., two sisters got B.S. and M.D.s, brother in law 1 got B.S. and Ph.D, brother in law 2 flunked out(!), went back and got B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. once he got his shit together. NONE of these went to Ivy League, and all can do their stuff.
The point of this is that “elite colleges” are neither a guarantee of success nor even a guarantee of an education; where do you think all these SJWs come from?

I am often impressed with families who are able to have this level of success. I wish I could raise my family all over again but with the insight of how to produce the proper atmosphere.

I met a client who, when I noticed the portraits of his children on the wall, told me the education level of each one. When he got to the last portrait of his children, he said…”and this one is gay”.
