Foolish me. I thought the Super Bowl was just a football game between two teams I don’t give a shit about periodically interrupted by some clever commercials. Somehow the wing nuts turned it into another election night between the good (Falcons) and the bad (Patriots, aka Nazis). WTF! It’s just a football game.
Can’t we have one non-political day in this country where people can get together, watch sports, drink beer, and eat lots of crappy food that’s not good for you?
Even my liberal wife, who despises football was watching the game routing for the Falcons. When the Pats staged their epic comeback she looked like the moment Pennsylvania was called for Trump on election night.
If my wife starts calling my Cubs nazis, we are going to have some trouble this summer.
I watched the whole game last night because Superbowl. I was rooting against the Patsies, but their comeback/ATLs choke was epic.
I even liked the Lady Gaga halftime show. She is not my thing nor my type of music, but she put on a good show and it was apparent that she was actually singing and not lip syncing.
The issue was the commercials. As far as I remember Alfa Romeo was the only company that wants to sell stuff to white males. The rest of them want to sell stuff only to minorities, womens, immigrants, etc. Even Bud had to show that white american males are bad, but german immigrants and black men are good. Fuck them. Who knew t hat 84 Lumber still existed? I haven’t seen one of their stores in probably 20 years, but if I ever see one, I won’t be spending any of my money there.
It was a football game and not a political contest. It changed nothing in real life.
Oh! I forgot lefties don’t operate in reality. Since they are so butthurt over a football game I’m glad Brady grabbed them by the pussy and led all the negroes back into slavery and burned a bunch of queers at the stake. Thank God that Brady will deport all the greasers and behead the mohammedans.

Those damn commercials really got on my nerves.I rarely Watch sports but this was the Superbowl.I thought it would be nice to take a break and watch.I almost let those fucking PC commercials ruin it.

Call me old fashioned; I’d rather watch free Youtube vids than pay to watch millionaire professional jocks. But I did watch Clemson and Alabama on my FM radio.

Rooted for NE only because of the deflategate troll factor…living in Canada where retarded television blackout rules have ensured that at least 2 generations of Canadians have grown up never seeing a CFL game…which truth be told when broadcast are little more than glorified high school games…players don’t even have their names on their jerseys (WTF?)…I switched over from a Simpsons re-run to catch the Lady Gage half-time show just as it started and was pleasantly surprised to see her show was just a montage of the songs I knew she sang…no politics…no Trump sucks…just ‘shut up and sing’, and it was a great half time show…I continued to watch the score on Drudge, hoping NE would close the score gap and was pleasantly surprised to see NE within striking distance as the forth quarter closed…I’ve never bothered to watch a Super Bowl before, but when I saw the score tied, and was out of Simpsons re-runs, I continued to watch the first ever overtime Superbowl game…and Rush was right…the momentum turned after the half-time show, and NE closed the gap and won…awesome!…and bonus after the post-game finished, I was treated to the first episode of Letterkenny on CTV…if you live anywhere outside a city in Canada, you’ll like Letterkenny…hard yes!
