QUOTE OF THE DAY

“When Fascism came into power, most people were unprepared, both theoretically and practically. They were unable to believe that man could exhibit such propensities for evil, such lust for power, such disregard for the rights of the weak, or such yearning for submission. Only a few had been aware of the rumbling of the volcano preceding the outbreak.”

Erich Fromm

You either stand against it or you stand for it.

But ………..

Everyone seems to think they’re standing against it.

And almost no one really knows what it is or what they are really standing for.

And example: Streep claiming to be standing up to the “Brownshirts” and not realizing the violent leftist professional protesters at Berkley and all the other demonstrations are actually doing almost exactly what the Brownshirts were in the days of Nazi rise in Germany.

I imagine that she doesn’t even realize she is supporting them, not knowing what the term actually refers to in practice.

Bad “isms” always relies on selfish interest (opiates) and apathy to prevail.

The Fascists did not get along with the Socialists, the Communists, the homosexuals (although: Hitler had homosexuals in his SS / Brownshirts, and only purged the ranks of them later after he had attained power), the Church (much) or the Gypsies (Romany), the Jews, the Russians (eventually, after they had divided Poland between them), and so many more ….
Now we see the homosexuals, the socialists, the Communists, the Jews, certain Church leaders, certain Black leaders and other SJW types all calling a businessman a Fascist. Hmm, where have I seen this before, and which side should I choose? Decisions, decisions ….
