Personally, the ongoing poor treatment of the native americans seems, to me, to be low hanging fruit.
By and large their reservations are still shit holes; crime ridden, and with poor access to utilities or healthcare. Their streets are full of potholes, and their buildings falling apart.
Want to move ahead as a society? Start fixing the problems within our own borders first and the let the rest of the world sort its own shit out.

I was told by Indians that the reservations were given money and resources but squandered them and did not work for themselves, which is why they did not live there.
