I asked three ladies in my office who work for me whether they were excited about the woman strike tomorrow. None of them had even heard of the strike. They are too busy working and being moms. This falls into the category of science confirming common sense. Women and gamma males, both of whom tend to be obsessed with rules and process, almost invariably get in the way of the smart individuals who drive accomplishment. Sounding boards are useful, but they are vastly overrated, particularly by the kind of people who are incapable of fulfilling a proactive role themselves.

I decided to follow my own principles (and preserve my own ass) and went to work today as usual. It was fun to think about fucking with my bosses head, though. Kind of like when I fucked with all of them on their internal social media about how clustering most of our business holiday days at Christmas and forcing everybody in the US to take Christmas week off (business related excuses only) is highly contrary to their “valuing diversity” policy since many of their “diversity” contingent don’t celebrate Christmas. I don’t agree with the “valuing diversity” policy since it is basically racial/sex/etc quotas, but I’m really pissed off about having to take a whole week off at the wrong time of year for me.
I have a question. Since women are wearing red for “A Day Without a Woman” and red is the color representative of Trump and MAGA, does that mean a day without women is making America great again?

Sorry to hear about the lay-off. When I was laid off after 20 years at least I had some warning. At our age regardless of their claimed unemployment rate and regardless of your profession it is very hard to find a new job if that is your inclination.
