The singer was the stud on this. He didn’t freeze up but did the right thing and engage the audience anticipating they would respond in kind. Good Show Canuck!

Now please don’t ask me the Canadian anthem’s lyrics.

I think it’s a mistake to encourage Canadianism in any form.

No diversity , ,no Mexicans ,no Asians and most importantly no Negroes.Damn , kinda nice.

Maybe I was to hard on Canadians when I called them all stupid inbred goys.Of course that Canadian border guard didn’t think it was funny.I thought he was going to kick me out of Canada before I got in Canada.Live and learn.

What’s wrong BB. You seem to be getting a bit soft in your old age by saying nice things aboot Canuckistan! I watched this live and thought it was pretty cool. Made me proud and reminded me that were in this together.

Hope you are feeling better bud!

No Asians???? Obviously you haven’t been to Vancouver. (or as the locals refer to it as Hongcouver). Plenty of Negroes in Toronto. Right about not many Mexicans .. probably too cold and wet for them.

Pretty cool of the Canucks! May have pissed Trudeau off?!
I can’t imagine Americans knowing lyrics of ‘Oh Canada’.
Even with FM’s Nashville video. They must have had a teleprompter!

@ NtroP –You’d be surprised–most American hockey fans know the Canadian Anthem also. If you go to a lot of games, or watch hockey on TV, you’ve heard it hundreds of times and it’s about 1/3rd the length of the SSB.

I am surprised and pleased. I apologize for some of the bad stuff I have said about the Canadians.

Great the way the singer relied on the crowd. I remember the scene from Slapshot, about the anthem.

Up until the first WW, my great grands were back and forth over the medicine line all the time. Even now, there ain’t too much difference between those of us here and those of us there. Those of us here have a few more teeth because there’s not as much hockey, eh.

Slapshot. A great documentary if ever there was one.

Sadly – this movie wasn’t that terribly far off the mark and may have been a little tame by Northern Junior B standards in the 70’s and 80’s. It, directly and indirectly, spawned great one liners like:

“I went to the fights the other night and a hockey game broke out.” etc, etc, etc….
