No, they did not. But the deep state (or military-industrial complex, whatever you want to call them) desperately needs enemies in order to justify increased military spending and reduced civil liberties, and the Russians have such a great bad-guy brand from the 50s and 60s that they’re an irresistible target.

An intensive investigation looking for any actual evidence of them hacking the election has produced nothing, nothing at all.
Other than false accusations on top of false accusations from the Democrats.
But accusations are not evidence, they are just accusations and made for whatever reason the accuser has for making them.

Of course they hacked – every damn thing they could. Exactly what I have no idea. But email, phone calls, computer records of DNC, Clinton, Trump, etc., would have all been targets.
It is what gubmints do. The Chinese do it, The Russians do it. The US does it. GB, Germany, etc. does it. Everyone does it.

I’m told that all these big government research facilities around the neighborhood close to D.C. have IT departments that just sit and watch the hackers from overseas try to get in all day while they are doing the same to them.

Our government repeatedly commits the offense the charge the Russian with doing. Did the Russians prefer Trump over Hillary who while running for President made bellicose statements against Russia and threatened to engage them over Ukraine and Syria? Of course. Did they hack the voting machines? Absurd. Did they try to manipulate public opinion? Of course. All major countries try to influence elections in other countries. Is this news? It is a joke.
