CNN’s Ratings Collapse As Primetime Shows Draw Less Viewers Than Re-Runs Of “Yogi Bear”

Tyler Durden's picture

A series of fake news articles (see here, here and here), black mail of anonymous Reddit users who had the audacity to poke fun at them and a couple of undercover videos from Project Veritas revealing CNN producers admitting their own news is “mostly bullshit,” seems to be taking a toll on CNN’s ratings.

As The Federalist notes in the table below, for the week of June 26th – July 2nd, CNN’s primetime shows (Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon) managed to draw about 6% fewer viewers than multi-decade old re-runs of “Yogi Bear,” “Full House,” and “Friends” which air in the same time slots on Nick-At-Nite.

Sometimes it’s difficult to know for sure, but we think this is a bad trend…

I think this is one of Trumps evil plans.

With the simple power of a tweet every day, Trump, is showing the world how the once all powerful media is becoming more, insignificant, every day.

Unless you listen to the same pollsters that predicted a 99% chance of a hilary presidency that say Trumps rating is way down and cnn’s ratings are up. Pick yer poison.

Nobody watches CNN except old dinosaur liberal retards. My father in-law is one of them. What a flaming dumbass he is. He believes the government can do no wrong. I once asked him if he was ever a member of the communist party. His reply was that he thought about it, but considered the democratic party was the better way to go.

Airports. If we can get them kicked out of airports and other public spaces that would be a huge coup.

Recently I was an IT contractor at a 3-letter federal agency and they just installed TVs in the break rooms and front lobby, all of them tuned into CNN. I felt bad for the guards at the front desk who had to endure that tripe all day long.

In the final analysis it comes down to money.

When or if they lose their advertising support because people no longer watch them they will either change or die.

I’m thinking they will choose death over change, particularly if that change means being at least a little bit truthful and impartial in their reporting.

It’s the kind of people they are.

Prince Alaweed didn’t buy into Time Warner (parent company of TBS/CNN) to make money. Same with Carlos Slim and the NYT or Bezos and the Washington Post. They can run those operations at a loss. Just a business expense, like money spent on advertising or lobbying.

Forget about it. The “deep state” (MIC for one)
will support the MSM. It is their propaganda arm.
They won’t give it up. Perhaps they will come to
call themselves government news agency. GNA.
They can blare this out, 24/7.

How fitting is it that Yogi Bear has kicked CNN’s ass!

Upon closer inspection, Yogi Bear’s direct action to liberate the picnic basket of Free Shit from the oppressive power of the agent-of-the-Capitalist Patriarchy Ranger is the best metaphor possible for the welfare state values CNN serves so fervently.

This ostensible ratings debacle is just proof that CNN’s values have indeed prevailed and that Tyler has simply missed the message implicit in this triumph of ideology. The masses, having learned from CNN, no longer need to watch.

I don’t know where else to put this comment, but the new video ads on the right side are really starting to piss me off because every 30 seconds it restarts and changes where I am looking on the page. I had to scroll from other part of the page 5 f’n times just to write these 2 sentences!

Kill it, ADMIN!

You know what’s especially pathetic? A lot of those channels that beat CNN aren’t even part of a standard cable package. We have 100 channels and don’t get: TBS, TLC, Home & Garden, ESPN, or Nick-at-Night.

But CNN is more widely available, not that anyone is watching it.
