The voters will give the dems one more try, then when they fail again, hello single payer.

Wonder what the real total costs of single payer would be?

No one seems to be talking about that in any kind of realistic discussion yet.

I figured once, and I admit I’m no financial expert and may be in total error, that putting everyone on medicare or the VA system (closest thing to single payer to look at) would require a minimum of a 30% direct income tax increase to cover it.

The California proposal seems to indicate this figure may not be out of line.

I doubt many taxpayers (real net taxpayers, not those that receive more in benefits than they pay in taxes) would be able to withstand this without going belly up trying to meet their current expenses and the increased tax payments too.

Anyone who believes Schumer and Pelosi deserve the darkness those two will bring them.
