At the beginning of his presidency, Donald Trump signed an executive order stating that an extra 5,000 Border Patrol agents should be hired to bolster the existing 20,000 currently working to restrict the flow of illegal aliens and goods into the country. Since Trump’s rise to the White House, the topic of Mexicans coming into the country via the southwest border has been much discussed, and in some quarters, fretted over.
As our infographic shows though, the situation at the border has changed drastically in recent years. Back in fiscal year 2007, Border Patrol agents apprehended 800,634 illegal aliens from Mexico, compared to just 58,004 from other countries. Fast forward to 2016 and the numbers coming from Mexico have decreased massively to just 190,760. Other countries, on the other hand, accounted for 218,110 apprehensions.
So, while the origins of people attempting to enter the country via the southwest border have changed, so has the amount of people in total. In 2007 there were 858,638 apprehensions, compared to just 408,870 last year. It would surely then be reasonable to ask if the extra 5,000 agents are actually necessary. As outlined in a new report by Homeland Security though, the scale of the required recruitment process may render the plan impossible, regardless of its merit.
Every fucking Mexican who wanted to be here, is already here.
The joke went: Why doesn’t Mexico have an Olympic team? Because every Mexican that can run, jump or pole vault is already here.
This is about apprehensions, not the numbers crossing. What this tells me is that the Obama era had reduced apprehensions due to its policies. Recent crossings have declined (if one chooses to believe the reports). Got to beware of confirmation bias. So, until the wall is built, cameras in place, elimination of sanctuary cities, and elimination of welfare for illegals, I’ll not breathe easier.
You have trouble breathing, Hagar? Maybe you have asthma or emphysema.

We may not need more agents on the border but there are millions of illegals already in the US who need to be arrested and deported. Many have already gone to ground.
I used to see a half a dozen mestizos arrested for DUI in just my county every weekend. Some for the 3rd or 4th time. Hillsborough ( Tampa) had even more. You can tell if they are ‘illegal’ as they will also be charged with No Valid Driver’s License and the nation of birth is also listed. Guatemalans can be detected in part because they are typically only 5 feet tall!
The amazing thing is the arrests of mestizos for DUI, brawling and domestic violence is WAY DOWN under Trump. They know that a criminal arrest is a fast track to deportation whereas under Obama they could just go out and get drunk again and nothing would happen.
Here is Teompaxtle, Juarez. You can see the ‘changing face’ of immigration since Trump’s election by the expression on the mestizo.

Teo’s name ends in the typical Nahuatl combo “tle’, even the x is a giveaway. The dude is Indian, not mestizo, probably from the Chiapas area on down to Guatemala.
