Stucky QOTD: How Many Must Die For ONE Man’s Sins?

So, Trump talked about raining down  “… fire and fury and power … such as as the world has never seen …”  upon the N Koreans, not for something they actually have done to us, but for something they think and say!  Minority Report on steroids. Donny wants them to stop making threats, ….or else.

So, it seems to me that a preemptive strike is becoming more and more likely with each passing day.  So,

Q 1:  Do you support a preemptive strike?  If “yes”;

—– Q2:  What kind (nuke or conventional)?

—– Q3:  How many should we kill on the first strike to get the job done?

Q4:  Whether USA initiates a preemptive strike, or responds to an actual attack ……. would you have any remorse over the deaths of thousands upon thousands of NK civilians?

Q5:  On a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high), how is Trump handling this specific situation?

==========================================

My answers:

1:  I absolutely do NOT support a preemptive strike!  NK threats are just words.  If we start bombing nations over words, where the fuck does it end?  (We should do as much as possible militarily and politically to diffuse the situation.)

4. Yes, deep sadness!  Excluding the very top echelons in power, don’t you feel sorry for the other 99%? Slaves. Brainwashed to the max. Poor. Desperate. And probably no different than us; wishing to be left the fuck alone by the regime, and working hard to give their children a better life. Perhaps OUR children are more important so killing (murdering) them is justified? How many must die for the sins of their leader?  Regarding our own beloved leader, I fear Trump is about to enter the Mass Murderer Hall Of Fame.

5.  I give him a fucken Dismal 2. I’d live him a “1”, except I’m sure he can fuck up even more.  Is he doing anything to diffuse the situation?  Nope. Only die-hard Trumpteers will say otherwise.  Instead, he and Kim Jong are ratcheting up the my-dick-is-bigger-than-yours game like a couple of prepubescent boys in a schoolyard …. who actually have tiny little dicks, truth be told.

I call first reply and if I don’t get back to edit it, well… I probably had bunnies to kill or something. Yoo Hoo… I did it.

Q1. No pre-emptive strike. Has ANY of our preemptive military actions ended well?

2. No nukes. Idiots.

3. I don’t want any mass murders in the name of pre-emptive strikery, but I can think of about 535 folks in DC whose sudden and inexplicable demise would give great cause for rejoicing. Maybe a few more, but if you cut off the HEAD of the viper, it will eventually die, although it may flop around and fling snake guts here and there. Congress is the head of the MIC viper.

4. Was it James Joyce who suggested that instead of 50 men from Dumdrudge East to face off with 50 men from Dumdrudge West and fight until one man is standing, East Mayor should fight West Mayor and keep it simple.

5. Military Leadership is an oxymoron of the most insidious kind. It is so true it burns. Like the Stupid. Trump needs to tell the DOD he’s the boss of them.

1: Do not support.
Word on the radio the other day was in Trumps candidates security briefing he reportedly asked,
“If we have nukes, why can’t we use them?” Or something to that effect, as reported by the media.

I’m guessing (hoping) he really said something like, “If we have nukes and don’t use them then why have them?”

4. Of course I would, just before the blinding flash and skin melting blast hits my sorry ass.

5. Trump…………….needs to shut the fuck up because he looks as foolish as the pajamaboy running North Korea.

I doubt any of this will lead us to war with North Korea as long as technology doesn’t send out a fake launch warning. AI perhaps?

Yes, the MSM and their anonymous sources are always right, aren’t they?

Trump warned NK about what would happen if they strike us, not a warning we would do so if he behaved himself for a change.

Bunch of fuckin’ idiots here.

4. Yes, these aren’t the first poor sobs we’ve bombed into oblivion in fact Curtiss Lemay bragged about vaporizing NK before.
5. -10.
He is just doing what he was supposed to do. The Trumpsters who helped put him in will have a lot of splainin to do in front of God, more than I will I think. I can already hear the whining and sniveling of those left after it’s our turn.
As for me, I just escaped from 10 days in the hospital where they attempted to kill me due to such good coverage they gave me disorders I never heard of while I was incoherant. They failed only due to health care industry incompetence. Poor little me I just refused to help them.

Wasn’t Lemay the commander in the Pacific who ordered his bombers to carry high-explosive incendiary weapons so they would burn all of the target cities in Japan to the ground and kill hundreds of thousands of civilians long before the nukes were used. Sure hope I don’t have to pay that karmic debt.

Is there anyplace in the world you’d consider not your goddamn business? Maybe let people work out their own problems with THEIR own neighbors? Does the u.s. have to stick it’s nose into every corner of the world? And what’s the solution every time? Bombing and slaughter of innocents. So we’ve now destroyed our middle class and spent ourselves into oblivion. Had enough?

And no one with any brains gives a rat’s ass about the u n. If it was up to me I’d bulldoze that fucking building right into the east river.

Q 1: Do you support a preemptive strike? If “yes”;

A preemptive strike is beyond insane. So no I wouldn’t support it. Trump still thinks this is WWE and he can march into ring by making a grand entrance à la Vince McMahon. Him expecting everyone to cheer the expected farce. All knowing that when lights go up everyone goes home safe and secure.

There is no need for the bluff. This is China’s, Russia’s and South Korea’s problem. Let them deal with it.

but if yes….

Q2: What kind (nuke or conventional)?

Nukes! If you are going to Crazytown might as well put on the shiny shoes!

Q3: How many should we kill on the first strike to get the job done?

Using latest population 2016 as guide, about 25,280,999.

Q4: Whether USA initiates a preemptive strike, or responds to an actual attack ……. would you have any remorse over the deaths of thousands upon thousands of NK civilians?

None they’d deserve it. Just like the Japs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Q5: On a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high), how is Trump handling this specific situation?

1

The only thing positive in all this is that he is doing better job than Hillicunt would have done.

Yes North Koreans will be killed, but South Koreans, Taiwanese, Japanese, and Guamites will be saved and that deletes the grief of losing the innocents in N Korea. We need to to teach these bastards a lesson and do it now before the mushroom clouds are planted on our allie’s cities, or we ourselves are emp’d out of existence. I want delve into inches, but to say I have very large hands and feet and everything else is proportional. thanks ”

One time my stepson visited our home in Oklahoma (he was 19) and within a DAY he had a date with a local gal he met online.

He came home with a hickey and said the woman was a bit old for him.

NO.

Q4: Whether USA initiates a preemptive strike, or responds to an actual attack ……. would you have any remorse over the deaths of thousands upon thousands of NK civilians?

Yes. What have they done to earn the wrath of a military attack deployed by the U.S.? Granted if the DPRK attacks first, it’d be inviting retaliation, but war is never begun by commoners – always by the tiny minority who holds power.

Q5: On a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high), how is Trump handling this specific situation?

ZERO.

Thank you all for your erudite (and useless ) opinions.

Something obviously has to be done. The North Korean regime is a hideous anachronism. More militaristic than Nazi Germany and more totalitarian than Stalin’s USSR, it also mimics ISIS with its barbaric punishments and use of terrorism abroad. It uses criminal means to fund itself ( counterfeiting, drug smuggling by its diplomats) and has gotten progressively worse in the third generation of the hereditary dictatorship.

It used to just hold the South Korean city of Seoul hostage. Now it seeks to hold the whole world hostage with its nuclear program. Time is not on our side. It took the US 7 years from the first crude atomic blast to the first fusion explosion 1000 times more powerful than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima and 7 years after that to put hydrogen warheads on ICBMS. North Korea is moving FASTER.

I remind you that North Korea is not just testing long range ballistic missiles it is also testing submarine launched missiles. These do not require any sophisticated guidance systems or re-entry capability to be launched a few dozen miles off the California coast and detonate over Los Angeles or San Francisco. There would be no warning or time to shoot them down.

Trump is pressuring China to do something before he has to. He cannot wait for quiet diplomacy of the sort the Bush and Obama Administration used to resolve this issue. It didn’t work then and it won’t work now unless China understands the US can no more tolerate a nuclear North Korea than Beijing could tolerate a nuclear Taiwan.

I stopped reading at “Now it seeks to hold the whole world hostage with its nuclear program.”

They can’t even send rockets that far, as they crash into the sea, and the powers that be want you and me and everybody else to believe they’ve learned how to fit a small warhead onto a missile?

Oh sure, I remember. 45-minute time window if Saddam were to unleash WMDs… which he didn’t have.

I think you should READ more and comment less or not at all. I pointed out that North Korea has submarine launched missiles. These do not have to travel a ballistic trajectory outside the earth’s atmosphere. They can be launched from a few miles off our coast and detonate over a city.

Antiquated submarines. They do NOT have the capability to build submarines whose missiles can fly intercontinentally to deliver nuclear payloads.

And those missiles – can they carry warheads? If yes, where’s your evidence?

Antiquated submarine??? Does it matter? Unless the United States is prepared to sink on sight any and every North Korean vessel there is nothing we can do to stop them from approaching our coasts in international waters!

A WW2 era V-2 had no sophisticated guidance system. It was launched in the direction of London from a couple of hundred miles away and fell at supersonic speed over the metropolis. The Scud missile is its modern equivalent and they are widely available around the world including in the arsenal of North Korea. They could be launched from the deck of any ocean going commercial vessel. Put a crude atomic device in the nose and you have a nuclear missile.

I have my doubts about there being areal threat right now. However, I would watch them very carefully. If it comes to shooting, I would turn N Korea into a heap of rubble and would not have any qualms whatsoever.

You have missed the point. Would you allow North Korea to arm up so every large U.S. city is targeted by a nuclear armed missile because that is what it will come to if nothing is done. As for the North Korean civilians most are nothing but obedient zombies anyway. Bad situation but it is one of self preservation.

August 10, 2017 3:28 pm

Q1 No.

Q4 I would have a sense of remorse for any loss of life. Unfortunately, the only way to respond to NK is if they draw first blood. At that point, killing the Dictator with a slice of time made available to see if the nation will stand down, once the little man is no more. Counter this with massive retaliatory capabilities available to release hell, should the NK military choose to become martyrs for their now fallen god. This is my ideal scenario, but with Seoul being only 35 miles from the Border, not sure if any window of time is advisable to prevent loss of life in South Korea, Japan or elsewhere.

Q5 Don’t have a number for this one, but I will say it is refreshing to have a leader with a set of balls and also to hear the whining of the media who want us to play nice with the little bastard. If someone in the Carter, Bush, Clinton or Bush Jr. administration would have called the little weasel out in times past, we wouldn’t be in this mess today.

P.S. With EMP blast a likelihood, re entry vehicles are not needed; just a few hundred miles above the target would be good enough to send some cities back to the 1800’s.

SteveW

August 10, 2017 3:36 pm

Q 1: Do you support a preemptive strike? If “yes”; Absolutely. Would target every single military installation, from the smallest guard tower to the main nuclear complexes. If you or your family is threaten by some jerk with a gun do you wait until he shoots you or someone in your family. If you do you are an absolute idiot. As a country it should be no different. This asshole has shown he has the means and motivation to do what he threatens. Words have (or should have) consequences and it should apply to everyone here and abroad.

—– Q2: What kind (nuke or conventional)? Conventional only, wouldn’t want to open the nuclear pandora’s box. MOABs and Tomahawk missiles on each and every military target.

—– Q3: How many should we kill on the first strike to get the job done? Absolutely all of the military/government/industrial hierarchy.

Q4: Whether USA initiates a preemptive strike, or responds to an actual attack ……. would you have any remorse over the deaths of thousands upon thousands of NK civilians? Yes, and would be prepared to air drop in massive food and health services aid once it is clear that the Kim regime has been annihilated.

Q5: On a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high), how is Trump handling this specific situation? 7, he is making the right moves in attempting to get China to handle the problem. Except for the UN vote, China is not doing and has never done enough. Remains to be seen what he does from here on out.

If anyone had recognized the threat and preemptively dealt with Hitler a lot of lives would have been saved.

Earlier this morning (on another thread) I suggested we start a poll on how many billion dollar bases we will build in NK. I stand by that. I say three on land and perhaps one navy base on the east side of NK.

Gayle

August 10, 2017 5:55 pm

I don’t support a preemptive strike because there is much more to be done diplomatically. I found it significant that right after Trump’s fire and fury promise was delivered, the Canadian pastor was released from prison in NK. North Korea is a problem for east Asia, and those nations need to solve the problem. They stand to lose much if war on the peninsula resumes. If China is using NK as a proxy, perhaps it needs to rethink this strategy.

I have been around this block enough times to notice the media hysteria. Sirens and clanging bells are going off in my head – beware! You are being played one more time. But I don’t respond anymore. We all know TPTB badly need a war and they will get it, even it if requires a big false flag to make it happen. It’s that group that really scares me – way more than Fatboy. What if Guam was attacked and we are told emphatically that NK did it? Oh we would eventually find out the truth, but like 9-11, it would take years. If we are still here.

As far as Trump’s response, I support him standing up to Kim Jong Un in language he can understand. The last three presidents played nice while this whole situation unfolded, and here we are. Trump is saying there’s a new sheriff in town and things are not going to work the same. I don’t believe he wants a nuclear war, but I still can’t figure out exactly who convinces him to do some stupid things. I pray he can keep his head.

Hi Stuck – how ya doing?

Here is a return question – when do you start believing the threats a country makes against you and yours? Before or after they actually do anything?

Me, if someone says I am going to kill you and your kids, I tend to believe them, and do not wait until after the murdering is done to take action. If someone says they are going to beat my ass, my general response has been to strike first. First one in wins the fight the vast majority of the time.

But that is me.

You see, sometimes threats get carried out. And N Korea has a bit of history in this stuff.

I do not know the truth of what is actually being said and done by NKorea. But if they are making threats, personally I would hedge toward believing they might follow through.

Generally, I believe that the least of mine is worth more than the best of theirs. One American, or Australian, life lost is too high a price to pay.

Hope it ends peacefully. But I recommend taking threats seriously.

I say it’s time to sic the Japanese on their neighbors. The Japanese are experts at killing all the Asians except themselves. They hate other Asians because they view them as dirty, they don’t bathe like the Japanese, and are considered larcenous as well. We wouldn’t have to show them how to do it. History has proven this very well. It’s time to re-institute the Imperial Japanese Navy. Do you know that they invented biological warfare during World War II; in fact, General Shirō Ishii who supervised all of this work in Unit 731 went to work in our first biological programs. All he did was translate his records and blueprints to English and presto!- American biological warfare.

The North Koreans have 2 south polar orbiting satellites which are in perfect positions daily to take out the entire power grid with the possible 2 nukes they contain. 90% of folks will be dead inside of a year as a result. The 2 emp nukes would not harm a soul on the ground from the detonations in orbit. The USA cannot support 325 million people without electricity… The ultimate asymmetrical warfare. Ed,
I am glad you made this point. I had been scrolling down the comments looking for just such a post. You are absolutly right, well almost, I used to work Amateur satellites with a 5 watt Handie Talkie, a three element Yagi antenna and got pretty good at it. I used a satellite prediction program named STS-Plus that I could copy and paste the Keplarian elements (orbital data for generating pass predictions) into. I noticed that for the satellite of intrest it would pass directly over my position maybe twice a week. If I were Kim I would find out when my satellites were going to be over the center of the U.S. and detonate them. I would be on high alert during those passes because he could coordinate the EMP with the strike on Guam and really cripple us. I think I will get a new tracking program and watch this. STS ran on a 386 with a math co-processor chip also was a DOS based program so it won’t work on these newer computers.

Another question:

Would you kill an innocent NKorean to prevent the NKorean govt from killing an American?

I would without hesitation.

Then the issue becomes would I kill ten? A hundred? A thousand? A million? The weight of numbers add up, psychologically, eventually. But I would kill more than one to save an American. I do not know what the number is where I might stop and sacrifice an American.

Any volunteers to be that American? Thought not.

The thing is, a nation has the obligation to protect its citizens. That obligation is not conditional on how many others may need to be destroyed to accomplish that, or is it?

Nagasaki and Hiroshima, like all Japanese cities in 1945, consisted of mostly wooden structures. The photos I have seen show that these all burned to the ground while the concrete and steel buildings survived largely intact even near the alleged ground zero. The cities were rapidly rebuilt and repopulated with little apparent concern for radioactivity. The entire country was in media lockdown for about five years following the Japanese surrender. Some thirty other cities in Japan and many in Germany were fire bombed after the outcome of the war was obvious so the bankers via the Marshall Plan could provide financing to debt enslave the defeated nations. The bankers and the MIC were the only true winners. If you make a list of trillion dollar scams put nukes near the top of your list. 911 is by now a close second.

time to lighten it up some boys–

The Urinal
A group of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders, accompanied by two female teachers,
went on a field trip to the local racetrack, (Churchill Downs ) to learn about
thoroughbred horses and the supporting industry (Bourbon), but mostly to see the horses.

When it was time to take the children to the bathroom, it was decided that the girls would go with one teacher and the boys would go with the other.

The teacher assigned to the boys was waiting outside the men’s room when one of the boys came out and told her that none of them could reach the urinal.

Having no choice, she went inside, helped the boys with their pants, and
began hoisting the little boys up one by one, holding on to their little ‘wee-wees’ to direct the flow away from their clothes.

As she lifted one little guy, she couldn’t help but notice that he was unusually well endowed. Trying not to
show that she was staring, the teacher said,
“You must be in the 5th grade.”

“No ma’am he replied, “I’m riding Silver Arrow in the seventh race, but I appreciate your help.”

17/1 At one time they got up to 20/1, that was the time to head to Cancun.

They say coyotes appear in the daylight hours on a certain season of the year. I’ve seen on or two in the last two years. somebody spotted a bobcat at work, he seems comfortable in the presence of humans, even lounging on the cinderblock wall. I suppose somebody has been feeding him.

I notice some years the rabbits commit suicide en masse, jumping in front of cars on the road. This year, I’ve seen ravens huddled together on the lines, no food for miles. Even if there was a delicious roadkill a mile down the road, they are territorial and won’t go there for lunch.

There are no scavengers to rid the road of another type of roadkill; wandering sofas and wayward ntsc receivers, frivolous trash-bags and flirtatious remodeling piles.

Pretty funny. Everybody worked up about North Korea. It’s been a CIA/Rothschild/Rockefeller/DeepState asset ever since world war ii. It’s very convenient whenever the economic or political situation warrants a puppet comes out to threaten the world.

I don’t know whether Trump is genuinely threatening to wipe them out knowing that they’re the deep state assets or whether he is one of them putting on a good show. I guess we might see.

Specie- What better way for the usual suspects to pack up and leave town when the market drops faster than the twin towers on 9/11 to somewhere in the neighborhood of 5800 from current nosebleed heights. Cook up the evil nutcase in NK who sends a nuke our way that we stop just in the nick of time in the upper atmosphere which detonates and the resulting EMP knocks out the grid and leaves us in the dark for weeks. No communication or information, just mayhem.

NK is just another psyop designed to maintain your love for the MIC. If you take any nuclear threat seriously you are just another sucker. Works every time just like it did for Iraq.

I am not in favor of a pre-emptive strike on North Korea. Is there a possibility that they could hit us first and cause some serious damage? I am sure there is, but it is too remote a possibility to start WW III. So wait and see is probably best. If you are in favor of a preemptive strike, you had better be prepared to use nuclear weapons, as history teaches us that we can not win a conventional war in southeast Asia — from a strictly logistical perspective. General Douglas MacArthur experienced this first hand and warned against any future forays after the first Korean disaster. And this warning was coming from someone who took over more land in WW II than Caesar Augustus. We did not listen and got our asses handed to us in Vietnam — by communist peasants no less. Could we have won that war? Yup, if we were willing to use nuclear weapons to massively disrupt supply lines and troop movement in Loas, Cambodia and China; completely lay waste to North Vietnam; and then rebuilt the country in our image — like we did to Japan after WW II. But enemy losses would have been staggering. Even lunatics like Henry Kissinger weren’t in favor of that. I wonder how the empire would fare in a conventional war against an interminable supply of Chinese soldiers (who see themselves as defending their southern border). History already gives us our answer. So let me repeat: there is no militarily strategic way to win a conventional war in North Korea. So for anyone who wants to hit first, as I said, nukes are a must (if victory is your goal) and that means millions will be dead — if not everyone (if the Chinese and Russians are able to get off a round of retaliatory strikes).

Wait and see is not manly, but if you prefer to be alive, it is likely the best course.

Interesting post Stucky; thanks.

Hey EC… I ever tell you I was a Red Rope at Keesler AFB? This is Me getting my red rope pinned on by the squadron commander, a young enthusiastic Captain Deborah Meeks. She was an interesting lady and we had lots of fun being her “girls.” She was one of the only women I ever knew to be courtsmartialled for being a lesbian, but I had NO idea then she was not married to a trucking company guy. Oh well, NOW, she would be at the Pentagon.

The world has indeed changed, eh?

All right Stucky, you sent me off down the rabbit hole last week and I’ve got a freaking PILE of stuff out I haven’t touched for years. Anyway, I didn’t drop off the edge of the world (flat earthers unite) NOR did I go all menopausal as a certain scavenger type suggested. I’ve been noticing that the Clintons are like a really ugly splotch on the political history of this country and their ties are really a LOT closer to me here than I’d like to admit. I know how they operate because that is how ALL local politics operate, especially in these hills and boggy creeks. Some people claim the Yeti still live around here and just between us, I think I see one from time to time at the local gas and get.

I am trying to be creative with this next piece. I even got inspired by HSF to see if I can set the reading to a song and I’ll tell you I’m trying to decide if I like “I Shot the Sheriff” more than “Ode to Billie Joe”, although right now it is draft titled Granola Snacks for Suzanna, which is another story altogether!

Hmmm… could I just stick the Granola Snack recipe HERE?

I think I can.

Granola Snacks
[imgcomment image[/img]

I am playing around with packaging and I have to tell you… Mason jars are just flat out awesome in the food storage universe. Now, if only the glass could be unbreakable. Hmmm. why couldn’t it?

1 cup coconut oil softened… get virgin coconut oil. Nobody wants the slutty kind.

2 eggs and YES, get GOOD eggs. It makes a damn difference.

½ cup Maple Syrup (HSF’s is preferred over Vermont brand, but that is because of a consistency question: Vermont syrup seems suspiciously thicker, as if something was added, but HSF assured me it is because of the soil difference. Some might like it thicker, like Vermont trees might squirt out in the early spring, but I think the purer flavor in HSF’s tree drippings make a nicer crunch in the granola. Read that last sentence again. Have I gone pure HICK or what?)

Use a fork to blend the oils, eggs and syrup/sweetener. (I use stevia since I actually can GROW stevia. I did grow it one year, but don’t need to do that to KNOW it can be done.

NEXT set of ingredients:
1 cup dehydrated apple chips (I use the kind the Mormons use… or USED to use when the Federal Government hadn’t shut them down from letting people can food for long term storage!)
1 cup dehydrated banana chips (Best if freeze-dried or at least “no sugar added” during processing. A good freeze dryer, which I’m looking into getting because it makes stuff so VERSATILE, doesn’t need added ingredients other than air. I am afraid to look at pricing.
1 cup freeze dried cranberries (I order them in giant cans from Saratoga Farms).

Add dried apples, banana chips, cranberries or other dried fruit to wet ingredients and blend evenly. Let stand for 1 hour at least, covered. (What this does is partially rehydrate the fruits so that the baking process will release the flavor of the fruit into the blend. For some of us, Baking IS Chemistry.)

NEXT set of ingredients…
In a blender or food processor…
2 cups nuts and berry trail mix (I buy the almond, walnut, pecan, cranberry, raisin blend… I think it is the “Nantucket Blend”)
½ cup sunflower seeds (buy in bulk at Health store)
½ cup pumpkin seeds (and/or sesame seeds and/or soy nuts if you like them)
¼ cup ground cinnamon (or more!)

I chop the nuts and fruit together with the cinnamon to infuse the cinnamon flavor into the ground up mix. If don’t know that it makes it that much better, but I think it does.

Toss the dry crumbly cinnamon blend into the sticky fruit and turn until the mix is moistened and everything is a bit sticky looking. I put plastic gloves on and mix it all together. Let it sit for a half hour to allow the apples and bananas to get cinnamon flavor absorbed.

Toss in 3 cups oats and mix it well.
Oil or spray the bottom and sides of a 9 x 13 baking dish and press the mixture into the bottom of the pan. I use a quart jar to press the mixture down into the pan by rolling it and pressing hard. I have used the heel of my hand, but it is sticky.

Bake at 375 F for about 30 minutes. Turn oven off and let sit in oven for 10 minutes to let it dry a bit more if you like it crunchy. I personally turn the oven to 400 for the last ten minutes. Then cut/break into chunks after it COOLS. I usually cover it for hours to let it cool and get firm. My husband likes it kind of moist and chewy. I do aim to please, which is why the basic recipe is for HIM.

Okay, Stucky, back to ME ME ME. Do you think this line of thought (below) is worth following or is it a dead end somewhere near Mena, Arkansas.

Hillary Clinton’s Politics of Meaning Speech: University of Texas, Austin April 6, 1993
Hillary Clinton
From: Tikkun
Volume 31, Number 3, Summer 2016

In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:
Hillary Clinton’s Politics of Meaning Speech
University of Texas, Austin April 6, 1993
Hillary Clinton (bio)
(original editor’s note: A month after Michael Lerner’s March/April editorial argued that the United States needed a politics of meaning that would address the psychological, ethical, and spiritual crisis of American society, a few weeks after Washington Post columnist William Raspberry dedicated his March 25 columns to praising Tikkun’s politics of meaning as articulated in Lerner’s editorial, and the same day that the Los Angeles Times ran an op-ed piece by Lerner based on these same themes, Hillary Rodham Clinton made the following speech in Austin, Texas. Because no transcript was available, we have made selections from notes transcribed from a tape of her speech, and we have shortened the speech by skipping paragraphs or by adding transitional phrases.)
Vol. 8, No. 3. 1993.

Beginning of Hillary Excerpt
We are at a stage in history in which remolding society is one of the great challenges facing all of us in the West. If one looks around the Western world one can see the rumblings of discontent, almost regardless of political systems, as we come face to face with the problems that the modern age has dealt us.
And if we ask, why is it in a country as wealthy as we are, that there is this undercurrent of discontent, we realize that somehow economic growth and prosperity, political democracy and freedom are not enough—that we lack meaning in our individual lives and meaning collectively, we lack a sense that our lives are part of some greater effort, that we are connected to one another. This isn’t very far below the surface, because we can see it popping through the surface—the signs of alienation and despair and hopelessness that are all too common and cannot be ignored. The signs are in our living rooms at night on the news. They are on the front pages; they are in all of our neighborhoods. …
Dot. Dot. Dot. (if you want to read the whole excerpt, https://muse.jhu.edu/article/626013)
We need a new politics of meaning. We need a new ethos of individual responsibility and caring. We need a new definition of civil society which answers the unanswerable questions posed by both the market forces and the governmental ones, as to how we can have a society that fills us up again and makes us feel that we are part of something bigger than ourselves. …
Part of the great challenge of living is defining yourself in your moment, of seizing the opportunities that you are given, and of making the very best choices you can make. That is what this administration, this President, and those of us who are hoping for these changes are attempting to do.”
End of Hillary Excerpt.

Okay, if you want to read it all or, even better, listen to the speech somehow! Just Goolag it. However, what I really want to know about this page is this… what does Shibboleth have to do with Hillary’s Politics of Meaning Speech. And do you see what I see? The first lady read some editorial about “politics of meaning” and then parlayed that into a whole new political philosophy for herself to wear as a result of the profound loss of her father giving her new perspective on life.

And she almost became President herself and she is personally involved in the bilking of various nations of money paid to her husband while she was Secretary of State. If you want to know some really scary stuff about Hillary, talk to someone who interned for her in the early days of the Clinton Dynasty. Did you see that Dynasty is being renovated with Dopplegangers for Joan Collins and Linda Evans? Can J.R. Ewing be far behind?

Is the saying “Life imitates art” or is it “Art imitates life?”

So, is the Clinton trail back to Mena, Arkansas gonna lead to even more dead people in their past (Did someone mention that 50 people they KNOW are now dead?) or will it just lead to an old crop-dusting airfield that once hosted an international drug and gun smuggling operation courtesy of Ollie North. While Bill Clinton was Governor, by the way.

This recipe can be easily modified to be baked at 275 degrees (well below the 300 recommended to preserve qualities in certain therapeutic herbs to be ingested for healthful purpose.) I find that adding the zest of a lime mitigates the distinctive aroma and taste some herbs add to a baked good, like brownies or granola.

Do you know anyone who dries and stores peyote? Hahaha! Disclaimer! I am NOT really trying to solicit peyote from my South of Some Border Somewhere BlogBuddy EC. I am just curious if the local folklore of Mexico, which gave us CORN as a food staple through some interesting selective breeding which preceded GMO thousands of years ahead of Monsanto, has maintained its understanding of plants, soils and altitude?

There’s not going to be any war with North Korea.

Lot of people with short term memory issues around here.

Like the “Iran will have nukes in 6 months” trope, this is just part of an endless cycle of fear mongering that has been going on about as long as I can remember being awake to their shenanigans.

We need NK as a foil and a distraction. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to discover at some point in the not too distant future that we’ve been propping them up all along just to play the role of the bad guy for whenever the public is starting to get too close to something of true importance.

Not. Going. To. Happen.

They’re also talking about military action in Venezuela. NK might be a distraction or a way of minimizing, getting Americans to accept a smaller military engagement. I said before, if you can’t stand the current rate of illegal immigration, here comes the Venezuelan horde.

There’s a pattern here, we invade a country and then get a bunch of folks from that country. We could call them collaborators but instead, we use the positive term, refugees, which they are.
