A teacher has been suspended and could lose his job after allegations he referred to a pupil who was born female, but “self-identifies” as a boy, as a girl.
A complaint was made against Joshua Sutcliffe, a Christian who teaches at a British state secondary school, after he said, “Well done girls” to the pupil and her friend in class, when he saw the pair working hard.
The math teacher apologised when “corrected” by the pupil, and thought no more about the incident until six weeks later, according to The Mail on Sunday, when he was called to the head’s office and told he was suspended from teaching while the Oxfordshire school investigates a “transgender complaint” made against him.

Mr Sutcliffe is to appear at a formal disciplinary hearing this week to face misconduct charges, after a week-long investigation found him guilty of “misgendering” the teenager, “demonstrating discriminatory behaviours” and having “contravene[d] the school’s equality policy”.
However, Premier Christian Radio reports that a press release from the Christian Legal Centre — which is supporting the 27-year-old Exeter University graduate — said that the school had not given any formal instruction on how to refer to the pupil, whose mother was reportedly the complainant in the case.

According to documents seen by the Mail on Sunday, the school also found Mr Sutcliffe to have been in breach of the school’s equality policies when he referred to the teenager by name, rather than using male pronouns.
The maths graduate admitted avoiding using male pronouns for the pupil, but he explained to staff carrying out the investigation that, while as a Christian he believes privately that it is wrong to call a someone born female a male, he also recognised “my responsibility as a teacher and Christian to treat each of my pupils with respect.
“I have balanced these factors by using the pupil’s chosen name, and although I did not intentionally refer to the pupil as a ‘girl’, I do not believe it is unreasonable to call someone a girl if they were born a girl.”
However, the investigation found that Mr Sutcliffe’s “avoidance of gendered pronouns” constituted a breach of “the school’s code of conduct with regard to demonstrating an awareness of sexual and cultural diversity of students.”
The finding raises concerns that activist officials are going beyond putting restrictions on free speech to enforce a type of compelled speech; already a hot topic in North America after Professor Jordan Peterson spoke out on the subject.

Speaking of the disciplinary process, which he revealed “reduced him to tears”, the teacher said: “I have been shocked and saddened by the actions of the school, which, in my opinion, reflect an increasing trend of seeing Christians, people like me, being marginalised in the public square, and our beliefs punished and silenced.
“I have a deep conviction that we are all made in God’s image, male and female.”
Last month, Breitbart London reported on the case of Christian printer Nigel Williams, who declined to produce business cards for a transgender diversity consultant, making the argument that such work can be used to harm fellow believers.
“The new model of diversity is used (or misused) to marginalise (or indeed discriminate against) Christians in their workplaces and other parts of society if they do not subscribe to it,” he wrote in an email to SEE Change Happen boss Joanne Lockwood.

I’m so fucking glad I’m almost 77 and far down the other side of the mountain. If I was 40 years younger, I’d probably be in the news for being the suspect in a mass shooting.
The school, especially a private religious school, cannot support the teacher because then the mother would sue and then the school will go broke. It’s much more economical to sacrifice Mr. Sutcliffe. That’s just the way things work.
Its NOT a truly PRIVATE school if they are forced by law to abide by such ridiculousness. Now if they CHOSE to put forth by-laws and codes of conduct WITHOUT being forced by the government to do so, then it is totally the school’s fault and their contract with the child-abusing parent puts the parent in the driver’s seat in this case. By that same token, if a teacher continues to come to work under these known conditions of employment, he has only himself to blame. If more principled, good, teachers walked away from their jobs until this travesty was corrected (or if more parents would take their money elsewhere until this travesty is corrected), the problem would go away quickly. But I suspect that the worthless fucking government is likely more to blame for the problem….they always are.
There is no such thing as ‘mis-gendering’. Even if there was it certainly isn’t something anyone should lose their job over. This kids parents should be in a mental institution and CPS should take this child into foster care by someone who isn’t deranged.
Remember bulimia, that scourge of the nineties? It seemed that every other brooding teen-aged girl succumbed to the bony disorder there for awhile, and then it faded away into relative obscurity. Now the moody teenage girls are finding solace in trying to be boys. Perhaps this will be a fad until it blows away, too. Bulimics and transgenders hold such power over the people around them it is no wonder both were/are so attractive.
The other day while I was teaching in an alternative high school, one boy came in looking fully like a male, but for the bright red lipstick decorating his countenance. A girl in the same class was trying to be male in haircut and clothing, but I didn’t think she was pulling it off very well. Perhaps just a phase? Another day, same school, two very respectful and well behaved African American students came in. The boy was clearly trying to be a girl, and the girl was clearly trying to be a boy. They sat together and chatted all period. I tried to figure out which sex was conversing with which sex, but it made my brain too tired to contemplate further.
My fresh out of the Army son who goes to school on the GI bill, with his wife and 5 year old son, two year old daughter; they inhabit my main house since a year ago. I am in the apartment above my detached garage. It is refreshing to see the kiddos every day and I enjoy meals cooked by my consummate chef son. I am not sure where he picked it up, perhaps from older children who visit us, but he told me that in the old days men could marry men. I mildly told him no, that is not true. Men can be very good friends but they do not marry. It is a bit flattering that he has said on more than one occasion he wants to marry me. And he wanted to marry the 10 year old chubby girl who doted on him when she visited.
I can only shake my head at MSM and what they promote.

Liberty has said it well. We reap what we sow. That teacher,though apparently innocent of wrongdoing, sowed the seeds of his firing by going along with this bullshit. His decision to teach in a communist mental institution got him fired.
