Putin-Assad Meeting Cements the End of US Dominance in the Middle East

Whatever happens after this the U.S. has lost all credibility in the region outside of Riyadh and Tel Aviv.

I’m not a terribly religious man. But, I’d like to believe there is a special corner in Hell reserved for those that fomented the Syrian Civil War.

From its beginnings in Libya with gun-funneling through the U.S. embassy in Benghazi to yesterday’s meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, this entire affair will be remembered as one of the most cynical and abusive periods of history.

The Syrian ‘Civil War’ was meant to be the crowning achievement of U.S./Israeli/Saudi policy in the Middle East, the apotheosis of neoconservatism.

Had it succeeded it would have transformed the world into a living hell governed by the likes of Hillary Clinton, George Soros, Angela Merkel and the U.S./U.K. banking cartel.

Syria was to be the wedge that blew open not only the Middle East but Central Asia as well.  It would stop the resurgence of Russia as a world power, subjugate Europe to an endless nightmare of forced cultural assimilation and completed bankrupting the United States to bring it in line with the a failing European integration project.

Supranational treaties like the TPP, TTIP and the Paris Accord were designed to create a superstructure that would supplant national sovereignty without any input from the people who were most affected by it.

Putin’s Turning Point

With Vladimir Putin’s pivotal speech at the United Nations on September 28th, 2015, opposition to this vision was expressed in the most forceful, and frankly, humanist terms one could imagine.  I’m going to remind you of the most important passage as it relates to Syria.

In these circumstances, it is hypocritical and irresponsible to make loud declarations about the threat of international terrorism while turning a blind eye to the channels of financing and supporting terrorists, including the process of trafficking and illicit trade in oil and arms. It would be equally irresponsible to try to manipulate extremist groups and place them at one’s service in order to achieve one’s own political goals in the hope of later dealing with them or, in other words, liquidating them.

To those who do so, I would like to say — dear sirs, no doubt you are dealing with rough and cruel people, but they’re in no way primitive or silly. They are just as clever as you are, and you never know who is manipulating whom. And the recent data on arms transferred to this most moderate opposition is the best proof of it.

We believe that any attempts to play games with terrorists, let alone to arm them, are not just short-sighted, but fire hazardous (ph). This may result in the global terrorist threat increasing dramatically and engulfing new regions, especially given that Islamic State camps train militants from many countries, including the European countries.

In truth, the whole speech is worth revisiting.  It is a stark reminder that Putin, normally very reserved in his words, laid all of his cards on the table and directly accused the United States of declaring war on the world.

And within 48 hours Sukhois were flying over Syria, bombing targets opposed to Syria’s government, allowing one military victory after another for the beleaguered Syrian Arab Army.  Shortly thereafter a coalition formed around Assad’s government including Iran’s Republican Guard, Hezbollah’s military wing and China’s tacit financial and moral support.

Putin told everyone, “Enough is enough” at the U.N. Then he backed up his words with actions.  War is always regrettable.  It is almost never justified.  But, when faced with an implacable enemy, there was little else to be done.

And I submit that the neoconservative forces driving the anti-Assad policy decisions are that implacable enemy.

The End of ‘Assad Must Go’

That action began the process of unraveling the carefully constructed narrative that was the Syrian Civil War.

But, enough history.

Yesterday Putin introduced Assad to the military commanders who are most responsible for the stabilization of his country. Syria as a political unit has survived.

Saudi Arabia’s old guard are imprisoned, impoverished and losing influence around the world by the minute. Israel’s neoconservative government, led by madman Benjamin Netanyahu, is fulminating impotently at the turn of events, and, of course, ISIS has all but been wiped out in both Syria and Iraq.

The U.S. continues to talk out of both sides of its mouth, allowing some ISIS members cover to escape to be used again another day, presumably against Iran and/or Lebanon, while taking credit for ISIS’s collapse and the capture of Raqqa.

This reflects the deep-seated issues within the vast U.S. diplomatic, military and intelligence communities and the difficulties President Trump is having bringing these disparate groups to heel while not appearing weak and ineffectual.

You need only look at the odd event over the weekend of military helicopters landing at the CIA’s headquarters at Quantico to know that, at a minimum, there is an internal war occurring within the U.S. government.

The best explanation I’ve heard (and this is by no means a corroborated fact) is that the U.S. military put on a show of force against Obama administration hold-overs in the CIA still operating its terrorist proxies in Syria. And that these operations are in direct conflict with U.S. military goals there.

If that is the case then Putin is right to simply ignore the Americans and move policy talks forward at an accelerated rate, ignoring the talks in Geneva and giving Assad all the support he needs to continue on as Syria’s leader, if that is what the Syrian people want.

Given Assad’s open support of his military and the way the war against ISIS and other separatist groups was led by Syrian forces on the ground, there is little doubt that Assad will win that support in any upcoming elections.

Putin Won’t Gloat

The big question is, however, what price will be extracted from the U.S. for their part in all of this.  Putin will not put Trump in a bad position.  The loss of face for the U.S. has already occurred internationally.

The Obama administration’s complicity in this sorry chapter of Middle East history has been mostly laid base for anyone with eyes open enough to see.

Putin will offer Trump a way to save face for the U.S. while laying all the blame on Obama, Clinton, McCain and the rest of them.  If you don’t think this ties into Robert Mueller’s ‘Russia-Gate’ investigation run amok, you aren’t paying attention.

Mueller is trying to desperately save everyone implicated here from treason charges.  But, I expect, everything about the U.S. political scene is about to change radically.  Once Judge Roy Moore enters the Senate (the odds of that not happening are close to zero), Trump has an impeachment-proof majority in the House and the Senate and can shut down Mueller or get him to play ball.

Trump has the opportunity to play peace-maker here.  He can solidify his position as the handler of Saudi Arabia’s and Israel’s worst actors and keep them on a short leash.

In fact, one could make a credible argument that is what the purge in Saudi Arabia was all about.  Mohammed bin Salman’s counter-coup was done with Trump’s blessing.

Putin can act similarly to allay suspicions of Iran’s and Hezbollah’s intentions.  He can also restrain Assad from retaliating against his enemies, though rightly deserved, in order to build a lasting peace.  And once the talks are over and the threat of Kurdish independence is over, Turkey will withdraw its troops from Syria.

Putin is set to call Trump later today to update him on what comes next.  It’s obvious that the two have been in contact about how things are progressing in Syria.  And, Trump, for his part has smartly left the clean-up work to Putin while he deals with his domestic neoconservative problems.

Whatever happens after this — framework for long-term peace or an uneasy ceasefire with Russia playing the go-between for the time being — the U.S. has lost all credibility in the region outside of Riyadh and Tel Aviv.

And we have no one to blame except ourselves.

Finally some sanity! After 8 years of leading from behind, cooler heads (Mr. Putin) are starting to prevail. The Langley army demonstration is still a mystery to me, but if it was to rein in the CIA’s covert operations, who are still trying to inflame the region to start another conflict, I’m happy they got their pee pee whacked. Still lots of room for more chaos, but it’s nice getting a little break before the holidays (at least I can hope).

When the Syrian civil war started in April 2011, the western brain-washing media bombarded the masses with the West’s propaganda message that the anti-assad forces were freedom fighters(notice how the word freedom is always in the message of Western War policies) and assad the brutal dictator(when a dictator is an enemy of the west he becomes a brutal dictator like quaddaffi and Saddam) must be deposed. This was a beckon call, orchestrated and green-lighted by intelligence agencies, for western 10s of 1000s of DISPOSABLE youth to go to Syria and fight Jihad, and they had been going by the 1000’s for 3.5 years without a problem or a concern from Western intelligence agencies or governments–even when they were committing genocide on religious minorities in Syria. The Syrian jihadis were supported and trained by Turkey, Saudi, American, British and Israeli intelligence agencies, all with varying interests in overthrowing Assad. This is well documented. They used the Afghani model of creating alkda/Taliban type religious-jihadis(after all if you get 72 virgins for dying while fighting they are very motivated), and the intelligence agencies succeeded in creating ISIS, a new and more virulent form of lkda that quickly turned on their Western and Gulf State creators, threatening western interests(means big oil and the flow of billions of $$ for advanced western weapons) in Saudi Arabia and Iraq!
Now the Greenlighters, western media and politicians and intelligence agencies, have a Casablanca-moment of feigned shock and surprise that 1000’s of the isis and other jihadi groups are western youth and there can be BLOWBACK! What were the intelligence agencies doing for 3.5 years, watching porn and getting drunk?
Before the American led NATO invasion of Iraq there was no lkada in Iraq or Syria.

LOL! Russia a resurgent ‘world power’ with a GDP far less than Canada. The problem with Russia is the same as any country that doesn’t lick America’s boots, however, the big difference with Russia it has SS18 Satan missiles targeting the american heartland! America needs absolute world hegemony to ensure it always can tax foreign country via the US$ as a reserve currency! The $$ men know America is heading to a US$ collapse–and that day is fast approaching–and need to ensure that foreign countries will continue to fund its trillion $$$ deficits that never will be repaid! Take our US$ toilet paper or we will destroy you! So, it’s more about keeping America from collapsing than Russian economic dominance!
The ME has always been about what Israel wants.

Russia doesn’t want to be a “world power.” Demonstrate to me where they are attempting to intervene outside their existing sphere … doesn’t exist. They are working just to survive the collapse of the $ and the West and are doing a damn fine job of it. They (Putin) are taking care of their own and those that were loyal to them through their darkness.

The Syrian “civil war” is the result of the food riots in Egypt that produced the Arab Spring that was spurred on and encouraged by Obama until it resulted in a complete upheaval of the old power structure in the ME.

Would it have spread and grown the way it did without Obama?

I don’t know, but he certainly made sure we were an active part of it and are almost inextricably involved in sustaining the situation as it draws more and more of the world into it.

Events in the ME are going to decide the future direction of the world, no one will escape them unscathed.

This serves the set up of the war of Ezekiel38,39. It will not end well for Russia and her allies who will have 5/6 of her armies destroyed for coming against God’s people Israel during the trib.
God is in control of history, not Putin or Trump or …..

I hate to break it to you Ed, but Israel stopped being “God’s people” after Jesus was made the New Covenant. God keeps only one covenant at a time.

Besides, today’s Israelis are no longer Hebrews, they’re Ashkenazis, Khazarians, etc.

There were 70 weeks declared for Israel in Dan.9. They have mostly been fulfilled, and exactly as God said they would be. There is 1/2 of the 70th week left to be fulfilled. That last 1/2 week will be fulfilled after the rapture of the church.

We did not replace Israel. We are a parentheses in time because Israel rejected Jesus when He came the first time. We are told that a “blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fulness of the Gentiles comes in”. And that when this fulness comes in the church will be raptured and then the last 1/2 of the 70th week (3 1/2 years) of Daniel will be fulfilled. Just as God said it would.

The fact that Russia is in Syria now and she and Iran and Syria are in cahoots (Ezakiel38,39) Christians are closer to that leaving event than ever before.

Excellent article (Note: CIA hqs is in Langley, Virginia; the FBI training facility is on the USMC base at Quantico, Virginia). Spot on. It is almost too much to hope for but there is a slim chance that Trump has been playing a very deep game which will end with the mass arrests of creatures like former CIA Director John Brennan, Comey, scores of former Obama officials, George Soros and at least a few RINO fools like the befuddled, demented John McCain. It is obvious the Neo-Con/Globalist/Israeli Zionist game has collapsed and this defeat is irreversible. Note Putin´s reference to “rough and cruel” people is to the Islamist extremists we armed and trained, while the pinheads in the Obama White House burbled on about the “moderates” in Syria, who never existed. I will never forget the ape-like U.S. Central Command general admitting that we had trained a “small number” of these “moderates” for $500,000,000 – six individuals. Putin is a former KGB First Chief Directorate officer, a foreign intelligence officer, not an internal security thug (despite what John McCain might think). He is highly educated, sophisticated, and cold as ice. He also commands an outstanding intelligence service which has our government and Congress completely penetrated. He KNOWS the truth of our illegal, sordid actions in the Middle East. You think the Russians don´t know about the pedophiles and perverts and corrupt thieves in our government? They have blackmailed them for years. We are an open book.
It is obvious that Trump and Putin have already reached broad agreement on a host of issues, with Trump ignoring the traitors who surround him.

There is nothing wrong with the US military that taking the leash off wouldn’t fix. I think it could dominate any foe in total war. Whether it should be used is another question. Only to protect USA vital interests is acceptable.

Great article. I hope that there is much truth in it.

We have heard for years how we are fighting a War on Terrorism, and that some of our enemies include Al-Qaeda, ISIS and the Taliban. According to the neo-cons and anyone even remotely behind the Mueller investigation, Russia is also a great enemy.

Consider the vast number of people in our government (especially the multitude of Obama loyalists) that are guilty of treason under U.S.Code Title 18 #2381 – Treason. How many people are guilty of adhering to our enemies such as Al-Qaeda and ISIS, and how many times did those people supply them with weaponry and other tools of war, or give them aid and comfort? Or when leaving Raqqa with said weaponry so that they may continue to kill American soldiers when it suits the traitors to our country?

I further posit that anyone in government that was aware of the Uranium One deal is also guilty of treason. The culprits in this deal are the ones screaming the loudest that Russia is our mortal enemy, yet they sold off 20% of our Uranium (yellow-cake) to that mortal enemy. Was it treason when the “enemy” was allowed to bribe a U.S. trucking firm, or when the traitors accepted and laundered cash to seal the deal? That sure looks like giving aid to your enemy to me.

Given these situations, I highly doubt that any of these traitors will be held accountable. The sheer number of those that are guilty is such that our government would have to be deracinated and resown. The establishment will not allow that many swamp rats to suffer the ignominy and loss of power to shape our nation and our world according to their fantasies.
