ARMED & DANGEROUS IN WEST PHILLY

The TD Bank she attempted to rob is beneath my parking garage at 38th and Walnut in West Philly. This is my bank. She almost pulled it off. Seeing her make an escape using a walker in slow motion would have been epic. I’m surprised the heroes didn’t put 15 shots into her, while wounding 10 other bank customers.

Philadelphia woman, 86, charged in armed bank robbery

An 86-year-old woman who uses a walker was arrested in Philadelphia on Tuesday after pointing a gun at a bank teller and demanding $400, police said.

Sources told Philadelphia’s Fox 29 that Emily Coakley had been to the same bank a day earlier, but when she counted her money after returning home she believed she had been shortchanged by $400.

So on Tuesday afternoon she grabbed a gun and her walker and went back to collect, the sources said.

Police officers quickly moved in to make the arrest, Fox 29 reported. The elderly woman was then handcuffed and escorted out of the bank with her walker.

Coakley was charged with aggravated assault, robbery, terroristic threats and related offenses, according to police, and was released on her own recognizance.

“That’s crazy. It’s mind-blowing,” one bank customer told Fox 29.

“That’s pretty unusual. I never heard of a bank robber that age and armed,” John McDonald said as he walked outside the bank.

Fox 29 reported that FBI agents examined the woman’s .38 caliber revolver and found that the gun was not loaded, but she was carrying bullets with her.

I was in Denver last month at a bar. Outa cash I went to the ATM machine at the connected hotel.
After mashing the 50 or so buttons and agreeing to pay the extortion fee of $4.50 (+plus my own bank’s fee) out comes my $200.00 (the limit). Normally I just grab the cash and head out but this time I was alone and felt safe in counting the cash. $20, $40, $60, $80, $100, $120, $140…………WTF! $60 smackaroos short! I took a picture of the contact numbers and decided right there that if these fuckers didn’t come immediately with the key I was going to rip that bitch up off the concrete and beat that $60.00 outta that sucker. Well, I decided to stick my hand up the chute and give it the Al Franken treatment. Sure enough, it had become stuck. Sometimes a good fondling does payoff.

Way to Go! Lucky for you the Thought Police were nowhere near. A true life Tooth Fairy tale with a side order of righteous indignation.

86 or 26,pointing a gun at someone or holding a firearm during a robbery should not get a person out on their own recognizance.

The “Gun Free Zone” sign was small and poorly located; the bank was also negligent for not giving her a copy of the rule in Ebonics when she entered. She should sue the Bank.
