Stucky QOTD: Brain Zapping

Brand new scientific  Findings

1. Stimulating someone’s brain with magnetic pulses is enough to change their taste in music, according to new research.

2. Not only did the treatment alter the way participants rated music, it even affected the amount of money they were willing to spend on it.

3. This is the first time anyone has manipulated brain circuitry to change the way people think.

Believers and non-believers, ponder the picture below while considering the above three new findings.

Q1-A: For believers. In light of the latest brain science …. why is the above picture FALSE? How does it feel that your belief in God can be zapped right out of your brain?

Q1-B: For non-believers. If for no other reason than living in heaven and being with your loved ones forever ….. would you be willing to be zapped into believing?

Q2: For all. You know the real You;  you’re a Conservative, who likes classical music … you hate meatloaf, but love a Philly cheese steak. But all of that can be changed with just a few appropriately placed zaps. So, there’s really no real you, is there?

Q3: Quoting from the article — “Showing that this circuit can be manipulated so specifically in relation to music opens the door for many possible future applications.”. What kind of applications??  Won’t we all soon all be of one mind … literally? Shouldn’t this new discovery scare the shit out of you?

I am up very early, having fed my son macaroni and cheese with broccoli at 4 a.m. when I heard him up and about in the kitchen below me. Then I went off to the deer woods to check for deer sign, read the night air and listen to the rustle in the brush as Big Jake and I moved along in the first grays of morning lightening the late fall fescue that did not get cut and baled. The deer love it and honestly, during the early morning and late afternoon, with a gentle breeze moving the pasture brush around in the distance, I can barely see the movement of the does, even when I KNOW they are there. I decided it was not right for Jake and I to train the deer to check behind us for dropped apple peels or broccoli. So, I am simply trying to decide if the herd moves from the cattle rancher on one side to our woodlot in the morning or at night. The rest will be up to the young hunter coming to visit. I could lead a doe to the hunter but that would not make him think.

I plan to edit this and actually answer your questions, but I wanted to be your first today. [smiles coquettishly]

So, here’s my initial clever replies to your first points.

1. Stimulating someone’s brain with magnetic pulses is enough to change their taste in music, according to new research.

I don’t believe this.

2. Not only did the treatment alter the way participants rated music, it even affected the amount of money they were willing to spend on it.

I don’t see the relevance of this. In this day and age of electronic payment for an electronic file to play on an electronic device plugged into an ear that is attached to a head hunched over another electronic device with a larger screen, paying for background music is one of life’s necessities for the “I Deserve A” generation. We talked about this already, Austrian-Hungarian mountain of a man. Here’s how I picture you: One time I brought an Air Force gal pal down to this part of the country for a look at the country bumpkins. We visited a local honkytonk to give her a flavor of the local entertainment and on our way out of the creepy little overly smoky seeming nightclub on the “River” in East Cape Girardeau (Illinois side). At the entrance, there was a sitting area and I was putting on a coat there when all the sudden I heard my friend exclaim “Where’s Babe the Blue Ox?” I rushed outside to find her in the arms of this giant lumberjack looking dude with a red beard and a plaid shirt and cap. The guy was laughing and said he gets that a lot, but not in quite the same affectionate way. I peeled her off the guy (who was very kind about it and quite the gentleman, considering she’d had a couple too many in the club.) I think of you as that big lumberjack looking dude from the Purple Crackle (That is really the name of that sleazy joint from the 1980s where the college students went slumming over in Illinois… with the townies.)

3. This is the first time anyone has manipulated brain circuitry to change the way people think.

Me…Changing the way one thinks is called changing your mind, Stucky. I know that is a new trick for an old dog like you, but you are really showing progress in this.

Q1-A: For believers. In light of the latest brain science … why is the above picture FALSE? How does it feel that your belief in God can be zapped right out of your brain?

Stucky, I feel like you are asking for the Meaning of Life again and while I just might watch Life of Brian later on today with my son, because I think this is the last time he will be thinking of this as “home.” You and I both know that a lot of things can just disappear from one’s mind, especially at our parents’ advanced age. I think the saddest thing I ever had to say to my own father was this: I know you know I am your daughter, Martha. But do you know anything about me at all? Have you ever met me?

So, I’m working on this in a Word Document and answering one at a time. When I use all my editing time, I guess I’ll be done.

Q1-B: For non-believers. If for no other reason than living in heaven and being with your loved ones forever ….. would you be willing to be zapped into believing?
I’m a “NON” non-believer now. I announced to my husband and son, who both acted as if I were a clever toddler saying something cute, that I was no longer in charge of praying the thanks on their damn turkey and potatoes. I cook it, flavor it and will even clean up after it, but if they think their damn souls are cleared for eternity because I stood there and said what sounded like a sincere prayer to heaven which they agreed with, they are wrong. I told them to say thanks in their own way. Pass the rolls.

Q2: For all. You know the real You; you’re a Conservative, who likes classical music … you hate meatloaf, but love a Philly cheese steak. But all of that can be changed with just a few appropriately placed zaps. So, there’s really no real you, is there?

You are kind of heading into some real esoteric stuff here. I think varying tastes in music, food preferences and political leanings are not necessarily good indicators of what constitutes the “REAL YOU.” I don’t know if this will link, but I’ll try… There is a psychological construct called Johari’s Window. It is too much to discuss right here, but nutshell? Are we a composite of how we are seen by others or are we strictly how we view ourselves? Are there aspects of our internalizations that can NEVER be altered, no matter what?

If this links and you see the little video clip, tell me honestly if you are surprised. If not, I’ll figure out a way to upload it to something other than that account.

The chicken/egg one is for the final point, if I don’t run out of time.

I may have managed to DO it with like two minutes to spare. Whew! Time for a beer and a cigarette!

Well, that’s probably because I made my son’s pancakes and had to serve him, gulp, storebought pancake syrup. No Maple Syrup came special delivery, not that I’m blaming anyone or trying to make anyone feel guilty if my last pancake breakfast for my son was maple syrupLESS.

a bit late for the show.
Wow, much grist for the mill on this one. Brain waves, johari’s window.

I learned of johair’s window; old joe and harry….several times in psych classes.

I aspired to have the window transparent both ways. Some would call that too much information or a kind of intimacy or, no filter there.

I practiced in the dental office with no rival for about two years. One of my clients was a retired Air Force Chaplain. I shared with him my unobtainable goal. He gesticulated by clearing his throat of the debris I had put there. And told me that is not such a good idea. I still meditate on that and the jury is still out.

When I was at PEP in Hattiesburg part of our experience was attending various therapy sessions. One was where you would be sonically isolated and have a small orb/ball placed in each hand with headphones on your ears. The therapist would alternate vibration in the orbs, from one hand to the other in syncopation with ‘messages’. Mostly her guided voice speaking on a topic that has significance for you. Many received helpful messages to help them overcome some past trauma believed to be an impediment to better living.

My kind lady practitioner told me she and the staff had prepared one specially for me.

She had me up in the clouds (not bouncing over a white cloud, swinging the world by the tail, killing the blues – as my grammy winning dream lyrics go).
She asked me if I could see Socarates, Plato and all the great thinkers, among the clouds, available to consort with. I said yea, I did sorta, but it wasn’t dramatic or anything. I felt no relief afterwards, except it was relaxing there and I felt rested.

Magnetic stimulation…. I get it every time I pass in front of an electric motor…Of course the painful iron shots I received when I was 8-9 probably infused my brain with permanent iron deposits. They no longer treat mild anemia with iron shots on children.

Do I believe people find relief from it? Very Definitely. 25% get better from placebo. 25% have remission anyway. And I believe someone who receives it for depression or other psych reasons gets better because then they can say “I told you something was wrong with me”. And some are changed. Maybe better, maybe worse. A hypnotic suggestion can do wonders. That is how I would explain their results.

Maggie, nice opening you gave here. I was there with you. Prior to me surrendering my guns, it was an extended family Thanksgiving tradition to go hunting. The only dead animals I saw going and returning from grandma’s house, yesterday and today, were a dozen ursine-like roadkilled raccoons and two vulpine vixens.

The Florida Panhandle is looking out after Stucky by combating those masked marauders.

If you can change someones taste in music and buying habits, behavioral changes, without their volition or knowledge – wonder if you could change other habits like, say, making them go insane and commit a mass murder or something?

Ok. After an MRI, which means magnetic resonance imaging, for a skull fracture, i began to like country music which i had always hated. Still like it in fact. Really cant stand 99% of what i had been listening to. Never thought about it until right now. For a couple months after the procedure, my wife told me i was much nicer than usual. Correlation? Or more a result of the fracture? The concussion symptoms persisted for over a year.

Stucky,

The brain is an interesting organ and not as simple, cut and dry as we would like to think.

My daughter suffered brain damage when she was quite young and as we all know, damage done to the brain is by and large, irreversible.

Her speech was quite delayed/hindered as a result and her ability to read hampered.

Interestingly, in the coming years she managed to overcome it, she is in middle school and is an honor roll student today and if you met her you’d never know that she’d had a problem at all. She is a bright, healthy happy human being.

I think who we are, our soul if you will, has a way of expressing itself and will find a way to be what it was meant to be even when our hardware is damaged. It’s not always easy or evident but who we are will generally try to reassert itself even when the system for delivery is disrupted.

Mind control of different sorts might be possible but generally is most effective on people who are of a weak character (or mind), to begin with. IMHO. So in that sense, it doesn’t concern me too much.

I can’t find it now but there’s a great story of an autistic kid who for lack of a better term, “snapped out of it”. As I recall, he said that he could hear, see and understand everything that going on around him at all times but it was like he was stcuck behind a barrier and unable to communicate except for the typical autistic behaviors. It was some piece of technology that finally allowed him to communicate (with great effort) with his family. There have been sever similar stories over the years.

Man, you get people thinking, for sure. Deep stuff.
Q1A. As a believer, IMO, it’s false cuz it makes assumptions, although widely recognizable. i.e., images of God as an angry old man w long white beard, pissed at the idea some idiot placed an info board in the clouds (Heaven?) with a crude GPS that suggests He is in heads, minds, or thoughts alone. Perhaps an insinuation that He is “a legend in his own mind”. Side note: what’s at the lower right corner, by the sign leg? Stick of lit dynamite? Something else? ‘splain the significance of that, pls. Back to question…I believe (with my head and heart) in the omnipresent Spirit of Christ, from which come the good human characteristics we choose to live by. And the Kingdom of Heaven resides within. His gift of free will allows thoughts, if used correctly, to manifest a life with some Heaven on Earth. (see Sermon on the Mount by Emmit Fox)
If my belief can be zapped out of me, that’s frightening and evil.
Q2. If all that I am can be changed w a few zaps, then all the more important to leave the world a better place, in many ways. The zap change won’t alter our past, which hopefully has been filled with good and Noble deeds. The real me, would be reflected in what they will remember, after I’m gone. Like all the homage paid to AWB, in the archived post you linked earlier today.
Q3. Hmm. Perhaps why Apple created wireless iBuds? Yeah, the possibilities are endless, and a bit scary, but there’s a lot of that going around lately.
Thas’ my thoughts.
But Maggie was much more thorough w her interesting responses, and FM’s reply was great. Kudos to both.

For the unbeliever, Bhudists, Krishnas, Mormons, atheists, ad infinitum, who’s belief is in their brain, they are “stimulated” much as these in the study group, by their flesh/body/ natural man. The information that comes from these senses instruct the brain, and if the brain likes it it tells the body to keep doing it. If it does not it tells the body to stop doing it. So it is based on those 5 senses informing their belief and their acting upon it that defines who God is, or even if there is a God for them. So when they influence the mind with their signals that person will be vulnerable to their manipulations.

For the Christian who’s belief (a belief that is nowhere found within themselves, but instead is a gift from God) has made him a spiritual being, that spiritual part of them informs and instructs their mind so that they are not led by the stimuli of the 5 senses. This is the protection needed that insures that no one except the God they serve leads and guides them. So that it is impossible for their minds to be manipulated in such a way.

So the machine, if there really is one, can affect those who are not born again. Because it is a natural manipulation of something that is purely natural. But, can have little or no affect on those who are born of the Spirit. Because both their minds and their bodies are led by that Spirit. Not their natural senses.

1Cor.2:5-16.
If this seems elitist to you I am not surprised. Because there is no way the wisdom of this world can comprehend the wisdom of the Creator. To people like you and those I mentioned in my first comment, it is even considered foolishness, right?
But, if it was really elitist as you say you believe, then why would God be freely offering it to all who will trust in Him? And why wouldn’t He instead be keeping it from you to prove just how inferior you are? So it seems “elitist” and “arrogant” are a wrong choice of words in this case. IMVHO

When you believe only your religion is correct, and all others are not …. that’s the very definition of elitism. I’m surprised you don’t get it.

I love that “foolishness” verse. It’s one of several cover-your-ass verses you people pull out as necessary …. often when losing an argument.

Very smart strategy by the author —. “I’m gonna write this book … and anyone whose doesn’t believe it, I’ll just call a fool!”. Works for you … not for me.

Of course, you never answered any of the questions.

Except to say believing is a “gift from God”. Odd, isn’t it, that 99% of Muslims don’t receive this gift? Stingy God you got there.

Or, just maybe, the “gift” is from your parents or society, since that’s how 99% of the world believes what they believe.

Edit; post submitted by Stucky. WP has been logging me off with a “Session Expired” warning. wtf

//Very smart strategy by the author —. “I’m gonna write this book … and anyone whose doesn’t believe it, I’ll just call a fool!”. Works for you … not for me.//
Definition of a fool- It starts with the person who says there is no God. Then it becomes more pronounced when/if that person chooses any god to be their god except the true Creator God.

But, at least you are aware of the truth the “author” has presented. Now if you could just get it out of satan’s territory (the mind, natural man) into your spirit, it would begin to make an eternal difference for you. Provided you first receive the gift of faith mixed with the author’s word that creates the spiritual part that seems to be missing at this point.

Anything that significantly alters the physical brain – – or its chemistry – – causes a change (permanent or not) in the thinking of the human possessing the brain (even if he/she rarely seems to use it – – sarc). That has been demonstrated innumerable times by projectiles being fired or inserted into the brain (e.g., traumatic injury, high-speed lead projectiles, lobotomy). Why is this news to anyone?

Every human has a frequency that is unique to that person, they have the ability to manipulate thought on a singular basis using YOUR frequency to single YOU out. What could they make you do? What could they make you think? Yes, termination of your body is included with the MOTB, that means death BB.

From Defiant Thinking:

May the farce be with you

Posted on July 23, 2017 by leetravis123

People put so much weight on what the “experts” say – it’s easier to abdicate our own research and critical thinking and rely on others who are supposed to know more than we do. It makes sense to an extent – no one has time to do their own research on every question that comes up, especially complicated issues like science or economics – but blanket trust placed in others, simply because they have a degree or have been published somewhere, can be a dangerous thing.

Case in point: A scientist who blogs under the name “Neuroskeptic” wrote a spoof academic piece and submitted it to nine scientific publications, to see whether any would publish what was clearly and explicitly a farce. He chose a Star Wars theme for his submission, writing under the names “Dr. Lucas McGeorge” and “Dr. Annette Kin,” and focusing on the “midi-chlorians,” fictional entities that live inside cells and give Jedi their powers.

The bulk of the paper was a copy-and-paste of the mitochondria entry from Wikipedia, changed with a simple find/replace to turn mitochondr* into midichlor*. He then added clear Star Wars reference, such as:
“Beyond supplying cellular energy, midichloria perform functions such as Force sensitivity…”
“Involved in ATP production is the citric acid cycle, also referred to as the Kyloren cycle after its discoverer”
“Midi-chlorians are microscopic life-forms that reside in all living cells – without the midi-chlorians, life couldn’t exist, and we’d have no knowledge of the force. Midichlorial disorders often erupt as brain diseases, such as autism.”
He inserted dialogue verbatim from one of the movies, including the monologue on the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise.

He even admitted what he did in the footnotes, stating ““The majority of the text in the current paper was Rogeted from Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitochondrion Apologies to the original authors of that page.”

The result? In the author’s own words:

Four journals fell for the sting. The American Journal of Medical and Biological Research (SciEP) accepted the paper, but asked for a $360 fee, which I didn’t pay. Amazingly, three other journals not only accepted but actually published the spoof. Here’s the paper from the International Journal of Molecular Biology: Open Access (MedCrave), Austin Journal of Pharmacology and Therapeutics (Austin) and American Research Journal of Biosciences (ARJ) I hadn’t expected this, as all those journals charge publication fees, but I never paid them a penny.

And:

Finally, I should note that as a bonus, “Dr Lucas McGeorge” was sent an unsolicited invitation to serve on the editorial board of this journal.

This should serve as a cautionary tale to anyone who uncritically quotes, or defers to, an expert simply because they’ve been published somewhere. They could well be legitimate – or they may not. Do your due diligence in any case.

I used to write for publications that requested the peer review prior to publication. My problem was that I was “peerless.” I was a country hick turned military professional turned mother turned college student and since I was writing for a doctorate level publication interested in the results of my study, I hoped it was unique enough to spark interest in the subject matter. I didn’t actually HAVE enough data to run a good study. I did a Factor Analysis of the survey results of the entire union body working for my company during Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations. I “introduced” a work condition which became a pivotal issue during strike negotiations. You academics out there are saying (to yourself) Hold it! What was your Research Methodology? The Question and or Thesis? How did you control the data set?

Listen, I did all that. I could explain what my goal original was with the data collection and analysis, but the issue I’m talking about here is a SIDE EFFECT of trying to analyze public opinion. I changed the public opinion by asking the questions.

So, while I was fascinated at how I’d managed to seriously SHAPE the public opinion of the 128 IAM union workers for whom I was Steward at the local, I was more interested in why there were National Labor Laws put in place which seemed to suggest it was okay for companies to screw the Defense Department out of millions of dollars if the additional monies needed for the contract were negotiated at arms’ length in a Collective Bargaining Agreement. If wages increased due to CBA negotiation, then the Defense Contract the new CBA managed automatically ballooned by that wage increase. This is what Union/Management have come to know as the PASS THROUGH.

Who knows what the pass through is?

Not Sure, if you can find the place of consciousness, you can find the soul. I say this because I’ve heard that bodies used for spare parts can react physically (rapid heartbeat) to the insult but since the brain in not functioning, it is not considered as a living person.

You also find in the bible that we are not to eat parts from an animal that is still living. Though I don’t see a restriction on cannibalism, and in fact, it is recorded in the bible that people ate kids and probably women. At least, Candide records in the tale of the old woman, that a besieged army ate the flavorful hams of the women.

First figure out whether consciousness resides within the brain or the brain resides within consciousness as, for lack of a better word, an interface with the observable physical world.

Science hasn’t really figured this out since it is limited to observing the observable effects and trying to postulate some hypothesis about it, and while most religions believe there is a difference between them none seem to be in full agreement with the others about it, or the nature of it, or how they interact with one another.

Stucky, amazingly, we were just discussing the fact that ten years ago, I was just out of a 28 day stay in intensive care which came about after a series of unfortunate events at emergency rooms and back of ambulances transporting an almost comatose Maggie to yet another series of brain surgeries to relieve that damn high pressure hydrocephalus.

I remember almost NONE of that entire month nor the few months after. It is a vivid memory to both my husband and son because they were not sure I would ever regain short term memory.

Thankfully, I did.

Although, I have no maple syrup.

KoKoDuh can’t get satisfaction from the deck board company by putting them on blast here but Maggie sure gets results pronto. Once a red rope, always a red rope.

I read that somewhere, that people who attend their hs reunion assume the status they had in hs regardless of their present station in life.

I think that’s because it’s easier to assume a persona that everybody feels comfortable with. Nobody wants to meet the new NaZzed YoBot.

Did you have maple syrup before the surgery?

Give it to me straight, doc, will I be able to play the piano?
Sure you will, you only fell on your head.
That’s good ’cause I couldn’t play the piano before!

Jim Carrey is a god, right up there with Bill Murray. In “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” (from a poem ‘Eloisa to Abelard’ by Alexander Pope – well worth reading imo) he was trying to erase memories. In ‘The Majestic’ he plays a man who had lost his memories and struggled to find them in a community searching for a hero. And of course, ‘Liar Liar’ sheds truth. ‘The Truman Show’ resonates with me. It was filmed just east of where I live and where I once drove sand dunes in a 4×4. I gave Seaside no chance of being a success when they announced the plans. Shows how well I can predict things. I sometimes get that feeling that I am just a sideshow for entertainment. ‘Bruce Almighty’ was an exercise of the mind.

“How happy is the blameless Vestal’s lot! The world forgetting, by the world forgot. ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND! [emphasis added] Each pray’r accepted, and each wish resign’d. I view my crime, but kindle at the view, Repent old pleasures, and solicit new; Now turn’d to Heav’n, I weep my past offence, Now think of thee, and curse my innocence. Of all affliction taught a lover yet, ‘Tis sure the hardest science to forget! How shall I lose the sin, yet keep the sense, And love th’ offender, yet detest th’ offence? How the dear object from the crime remove, Or how distinguish penitence from love? Unequal task! a passion to resign, For hearts so touch’d, so pierc’d, so lost as mine. Ere such a soul regains its peaceful state, How often must it love, how often hate! How often hope, despair, resent, regret, Conceal, disdain — do all things but forget.”
Alexander Pope

One big change and that’s tallow instead of coconut oil. Holds up to the heat just as well, but imparts this deeply pleasing undertone that’s almost impossible to describe.

Far superior flavor profile for potatoes, but I’m sure it’s a matter of taste.

Tallow is an excellent source of niacin, vitamins B6, B12, K2, selenium, iron, phosphorus, potassium and riboflavin. Grass fed beef tallow contains high ratio of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which is a cancer-resistant agent. Contrary to the popular conception, tallow is good for health as tallow fat is similar to the fat/muscles in the heart. Recent studies have shown that human beings need at least 50% of saturated fats like tallow and lard to keep the heart pumping hard and healthy. Tallow from pasture-raised cows also contains a small amount of Vitamin D, similar to lard.

Here Stuckorelli scorned my ma’s flour tortillas because I said she made them with lard.

Oh, and we had menudo. (Don’t act queasy like Not Sure, we have Mormons in the AV who love menudo, they must’ve learned about it from their missionary work abroad.)

The sexy mulatta’s Salvy version of menudo – sopa de pata – has cow hoof in it; something my ma was averse to adding to her menudo.

I cooked down a whole beef loin carefully collecting the tallow. I have a jar of it sitting right beside my stove. He likes to cook his eggs in it if there is no bacon grease available. There was NOT.

Drying the potatoes makes them crispier. Is a trick used when making kettle chips. Soak the slices of potatoes in salted water, then drain and dry the slices. The salt is already absorbed into the flesh of the potato.

hmmm, drying the potatoes means they absorb less oil during frying. Since much of the flavor of fried potatoes comes from the oil, I would think they would be rather bland tasting. On the other hand, they would stay crisp under a heat lamp…that is if you needed to do that.

I collect and discard quite a bit of fat off my bunnies. Perhaps a half cup on each big 12-15 pound buck. The big does probably have a full cup of fat on their butts.

I’ll call it Chubby Bunny Got Back Tallow.

Consciousness dawning, wherever it resides, rendered mortality into 3-d that woulda’ almost certainly dddebilitated most (just as it still dddoes), shortened an already short existence, hastened extinction of species, possibly. So psych defense mechs were mounted. Souls were invented. Religions. Immortality.

“Jeremiah was a bullfrog” And Hoyt Axton was pretty special himself. Loved his concert in Atlanta back in the 70’s. I have three vinyl albums of his in the attic. He wrote the Three Dog Night song.

The most gigantic electromagnetic field ever envisioned could never make me like rap “music”.

Lessee: I like ol’ Hank and Willie. CC Revival. 1930s big bands. Miles Davis jazz. Bach, Beethoven et al. The Blues of Howling Wolf, Lightning Hopkins or Manse Lipscomb–and many others. Bunches of 1950s/1960s rock and roll. Folk music from way back when on up through the protest era. Good luck on changing me; you’ll never know where to start.

Heh. Some people have tried to change me. So, I just went and outlived them.

Q2: there are lots more”not-me” than real me.
Q3: I strongly hope that if this “break-through” is for real, that mankind can create an opposing and preventative measure against it.

All great men are dying…I don’t feel so good myself. Grabbed the tag end of my fence wire with my new wire cutters. Twenty-mile fencer made me throw them sons-a-bitches over my shoulder so damn far I never heard the thump when they hit the ground. It was a gorgeous evening, dew was settling on the grass, a firm and substantial ground, I surmised. May have mentioned God’s name, but I don’t remember clearly. My brain was altered forever as the ground pounded the oxygen out of my lungs. Shoulda bought the cutters with the orange handle. I was humming at the time and for the life of me, I don’t remember which song about a yellow submarine it was. Had a chaw of Spark Plug in my cheek, swallowed that. It may have been the tobacco and not the electricity, or maybe the synergy of the two, but an angel appeared as my eyes refocused. My goats had black on them and this was all white and had no black spots of course. Homely angel, but hey, I ain’t angel shaming. I got no name, so I suspect I should refer to it as a UFA. Hell, any study that confirms electricity can make ya think different is a good study. I used to subscribe to the American Medical Journal for Electrician until it got too expensive. Keep up the good work Stucky, we can only hope that Maggie will drop a good rabbit recipe on us if we keep her talking.

I think a preference for sausage versus cheese pizza can be zapped, it can be as simple as a bad stimulus, either an electrode or a piece of spoiled sausage that leaves a bad taste in your mouth that will never be forgotten.

The real test would be if a deep relationship can be affected; say a connection between a parent and child or husband and wife (in some cases; in other cases not much zapping may be needed at all!) can be zapped away. If this can be proven, then the matter of zapping away a religious belief might have a serious concern.

Could be the beginning of a new religion: Zappism. Are you a Zappist? I belong to the first church of Zap.
Services were canceled today when there was a power outage and we could not get the back up generator started.

Dude, cutting through preferences to the real question; can relationships be altered IS THE DEEP THOUGHT!

Zappa would have been a great Pope. Problem is he would have realized the concentration of power and rejected the position. Unfortunately, there are many psychopaths out there willing to fill the void.

Anyway, I hope you find your Queen.
