Was great to see this, from the 1st Epistle, near the back of the Good book.
Going a bit further, to add verses 16.1 and 18.
“This is how we know what love is. Jesus Christ laid down His life for us.”*
“Let us not love with words or speech, but with actions and in truth”**
*…He could have stopped / prevented the crucifixion, or ran from it, but chose the fate His Father wanted, as He fearfully realized in Gethsemane before they came for Him. Matthew 26: 37-39
**…If we’re gonna talk the talk, then walk the walk. ACTIONS speak much louder than words.
And, heading into tomorrow, for Jan. 6th, from the book “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young:
“I am able to do far beyond all that you ask or imagine. Come to Me with positive expectations., knowing that there is no limit to what I can accomplish. Ask My Spirit to control your mind so that you can think great thoughts of Me. Do not be discouraged by the fact that many of your prayers are yet unanswered. Time is a trainer, teaching you to wait upon Me, to trust Me in the dark. The more extreme your circumstances, the more likely you are to see My Power and Glory at work in the situation. Instead of letting difficulties draw you into worrying, try to view them as setting the scene for My glorious intervention. Keep your eyes and your mind wide open to all that I am doing in your life.”
I love this quote.
A lot of people justify doing evil by saying that they do it for the greater good. Which is wrong. You are serving yourself, and evil, by doing evil things.
So many people simply redefine and interpret what is “evil” to suit their desires, every man being righteous in his own mind.
Some mornings, like this one, after reading all the news, hell makes a lot of sense.
