QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.”

Maggie…that is the part of the quote that hit home to me as well. I have always tried to seek truth and to tell the truth…even when there was enormous pressure to conform to a false narrative based on lies which are now endemic throughout western nations. Needless to say, telling the truth comes with a price which includes the loss of friends, fractured families, hostile work environments and the loss of job prospects and promotions. As an example, I once competed for a senior research chair at a major university, won the completion but was not offered the position which was quietly withdrawn. To live a life based on endemic lies rots the soul, corrupts the mind and ultimately destroys our civilization which is a far greater cost then offending people and suffering economic consequences.

Correctness is correctness: corrals are comfy. Peer pressure prevails…(posts, cement cased, in deeply dug holes, ain’t goin’ nowhere).

Or tends to. Strongly tends to. Conformity to the surround – ‘when in Rome’ – is the thick slab foundation of that slippery banana peel o’ evil banality.

Get along little d’oh!ggies, cuz to go along is to ‘belong.’

& to be long, American style (for one example) sets up all the big & little shorts. If you ain’t cow, you pretty much gotta’ be contrarian.

It’s a boundary issue. Or a spongy porosity of boundaries issue. Or a homogenizing hetero-polarity issue (“you complete me” & we’s happily, contentedly, evenly yoked…). Magnetism & mesmerism: there were steel-plated heads before there were ever surgically implanted steel pate plates.

E pluribus unum say all the Elsy’s. The herd ~ something larger ~ say the laggards. “Culture” – cuz that sounds more impressive, polished (reflected glory-bask be hallelujah) – & larger – than welfare cattle•lack carsloads of bovinity bojanglin’ their chains along the plenipotentiary “founding” pappy-punchers’ meat packin’ plant plenums – which are soothingly spiral, nowadays.

People, people who needy people – to conform to set homogenizin’ temps (d’oh! so temporary, indeed) – are the lunkiest milk moustache disguised people in the world. Got ilk? You bet they do.
