BIPARTISANSHIP

“If you were against President Obama’s deficits, and now you’re for the Republican deficits, isn’t that the very definition of hypocrisy?”

“Are we to be conservative all the time, or only when we’re in the minority? Now some will say, “We must govern.” My question about governing is, does governing mean abandoning one’s principles?”

Rand Paul

Jesus Christ Rand–of course governing means abandoning one’s principles. Unless the people in government never had principles, which is actually more likely.

We are now damned if we print and spend tens of trillions more every year and damned if we don’t print and spend tens of trillions more every year; mostly because of the destructive Welfare Society created since the 1960s and the inevitable social and civic destruction it causes, especially when it ends abruptly. What we also waste on Warfare is just as stupid and evil only we destroy other country’s people. Trump took over a runaway train on 20Jan2017; it was the right thing to do but now he has a tiger by the tail; there will probably have to be a huge bloody fight to restore Law & Order, financial sustainability, and individual responsibility. Now Is The Time For All Good Americans To Pray For God’s Help and to roll up their own sleeves.

If the debt would truly pull both major political parties to the bottom of the ocean, it would be a day worth celebrating. A more accurate cartoon would be a donkey and an elephant standing on the deck of a trillion dollar, unnecessary Navy ship, throwing America over the side with a giant ball attached to her neck with the word DEBT on it.

Decrying deficits isn’t being principled. That’s easy. Its like being against child molesting or cancer.

Rand Paul getting on the Senate floor droning on and on against debt doesn’t do anything. He has no proposal that can pass that would cut the deficit so he is just wasting time.

Congress is going to spend money until they can’t. Its in their DNA and the only thing that will stop them is interest rates because they will not be able to borrow more when interest rates go up. We have a debt to GDP ratio of about 105%. Italy’s is 135% and can only borrow because the ECB buys its bonds. The US will hit Italian debt levels in 5 or 10 years and then either Fed monetizes the debt again or the Congress will have to cut spending to pay the interest on the debt. Doesn’t do any good to rant and rave about it because the Republicans ranted and raved about for the last 40 years and Congress still keeps spending money we don’t have.

“He has no proposal that can pass that would cut the deficit so he is just wasting time.”

But he most certainly has made proposals that WOULD cut the deficit and balance the budget. Its not his fault they will not pass. Should he just give up then?? What exactly is the point of electing anyone then if not to have them fight the good fight for freedom and liberty? Just shut up if you don’t want to put McConnell’s balls permanently in your mouth? Is that how every GOP Senator should think? And if Rand and Mike Lee don’t speak up, then WHO WILL??

At least he can still carry on the charade of being a statesman concerned about the welfare of the country, I watched my local senaturd last night laughing over the matter of the budget, unconcerened in the slightest over trillion dollar deficits….

The bullshit legislation is largely lobbyist pork fest erotica.
“The people” get nothing other than the usual – screwed.
