If the sign can make me laugh I’m more apt to lend a hand.
For example, my poor youngest brother, once sat in front of a local grocery store with a make shift cardboard sign that read,
“Ceres finest, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”

Typical bum. Probably uses the money for pot, booze and lottery tickets. I feel sorry for the dog though. I don’t feed bums, it’s like feeding flies. The more you put out the more you attract.
She knows a thing or two because she’s seen a thing or two. Anybody here gotten lucky, I’d like to hear how good she is.

in 2015 I ran into a young man begging with a sign that had a website you could send him money to!
I laughed and called him over…and questioned him. He was about 22-23…not dressed bad…looked intelligent and told me the sight was up…but he couldn’t find a job anywhere.
I opened my wallet and he lighted up…then I gave him my business card…I was working for an independent Coca-Cola bottler and their Vending company running 3 departments and Loss Prevention.
I told him come in and ask for me and I’d walk him to HR and start the process to find him an entry level job that day!
Never saw him again.

wonder what the guy would do if you casually said “I think I’ll key that flash paint job on that car (in the picture), it’s not your is it dude?” and watch him freak out–
I’ll take the dog, no problem.
