March For Our Lives, a demonstration involving survivors of the Parkland school shooting that will take place Saturday in Washington, D.C., and across the country, registered a 501(c)(4) nonprofit advocacy organization that is not required to disclose its donors.
The March for Our Lives Action Fund, a 501(c)(4) “social welfare” nonprofit organization, was registered on March 8 with the D.C. Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, records show. The action fund lists its business address in Encino, Calif., and its agent as CT Corporation System, a D.C.-based firm that offers agent, incorporation, and corporate business compliance services.

The choice of this nonprofit vehicle means that donors lose tax deductibility for their donations. Those who live in high tax states like California and New York, can lose almost half the value of their donations that could have been deducted from their state and local tax burden.
By no means are they done with the dark money-financed activities:
The organization said on its website it chose to incorporate the group this way because it plans to lobby for new gun-control legislation even after Saturday’s march.
“March for Our Lives Action Fund is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code,” it said. “Unlike section 501(c)(3) charitable organizations which have restrictions on their lobbying activities, section 501(c)(4) organizations are permitted to conduct unlimited lobbying for federal tax purposes. This form of entity gives the students maximum flexibility to conduct high-impact legislative advocacy during the Day of Action and beyond.”
They said the donations being made to the group now will be used to cover expenses for the march and also future lobbying efforts.

But it is no mystery, of course. The only principle that the left consistently adheres to is its drive for controlling and expanding the power of the state.
So, just who do you suppose is willing to almost double the cost of its donations in order to remain hidden from the public?

Those who have access to endless supplies of fake-money, obviously. This is a concept which seems to be difficult for some to grasp. They literally do not care how much they spend, since they (or those they are connected to) can literally create more out of thin air. Those who exercise an exclusive right to counterfeit, granted by the government, are the actual rulers of the country governed. I’ve seen mention of Spielberg, Bloomberg, and Soros as major funders of this particular attempt to disarm the USA. For what it’s worth, these folks are literal domestic enemies of the constitution, which are explicitly mentioned in military oaths. Probably all ghost-dancing as the constitution is mostly gutted now anyway.
How many of the general population actually care about who did the financing?

Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m guessing it is a small number compared to the whole of the people.

How many of the general population have no idea what the March for our lives was?
I tangentially know it was an astroturf anti-gun rally of some sort. No idea where it took place or what the people supporting say they want. I just don’t care to follow this type of non news. How many others are in a similar place? I suspect this is a small percentage of the US population.
I suspect there is an even greater number of people in this country who are just generally oblivious to what is going on around them and they won’t have any idea.
So, this seems like a propaganda device to let the MSM discuss how righteous it would be to take away all the guns and let them try to spin it as a position that the people want. This will work on some fraction of the population that watch TV news and don’t understand enough to be skeptical of everything they see on TV. It may end up filtering down to the consciousness of some of the obliviots who get the message from social media or friends or coworkers or wherever obliviots get ideas.
Hopefully, the money poured into this turns out to be money not well spent. Time will tell. I do have a neighbor down the street that now has a big window sticker on their truck that says I’m with the kids and has NRA in a ghostbuster circle. They also have some sort of GOP sticker there too. Maybe they could be saved, maybe they are too far gone, who knows.

Those of us who have been in a fight for our lives can’t imagine going into one without the proper tools. If AR-15 confiscation ever happens there will be a lot of folks pouring oil on their gardens every year.
It will be done the way it is being done in California where the latest laws are making an AR-15 configured in a legal form to be mostly meaningless as a useful weapon for anything outside of limited target practice where other rifles would be much better.
Or just adding anything semi automatic to the NFA where they will become as expensive as machine guns and be unavailable to the average American because of the cost leaving them still technically available to comply with the 2nd Amendment. An example, you can still buy an NFA registered “lightning link” to convert your AR to full auto but it will cost you maybe around 5-7000 dollars for what amounts to about a dollars worth of metal since there are only around 500 registered ones available out of the thousands that were made before being declared a machine gun in themselves (yeah they can be made for free out of scrap metal but don’t even think about doing it unless you want to spend the next ten years in prison).
