Massive Fireballs Light Up Syrian Sky After Israeli Strike; “Dozens” Of Iranian Soldiers Reportedly Killed

Update: initial reports of mass injuries and perhaps casualties following the Iranian strike appear accurate, and as reporters on the ground located at the Hama National Hospital show, “civilians are donating blood for the Soldiers & Civilians who were wounded by the Israeli Israel Air Strikes tonight.”

* * *

Syrian state news reports a possible foreign attack on military bases in Hama and Aleppo provinces, citing multiple reports and videos now circulating which show massive fireballs lighting up the night sky.

Dozens of pro-government social media accounts are claiming an Israeli strike on Brigade 47 weapons depot in Hama Sunday night. Syrian sate media says rockets from an “unspecified enemy” hit military locations inside Syria, citing “a new aggression with hostile missiles” but stopped short of identifying the aggressor.

Danny Makki — a well-known journalist reporting from on the ground in Syria — also reports an official military source as saying “A hostile Foreign attack took place at locations in Hama and Aleppo at 10:30 local time tonight.”

Makki further reports “the attacks this evening mainly targeted locations/positions with a strong presence of Iranian backed militias.” This indicates that the likely attacker is Israel, though still not immediately confirmed.

There are also widespread rumors of the recent landing of an Iranian transport plane at Hama Military Airport, possibly targeted in the attack, and reports that explosions were so big due to a direct hit on ammunition warehouses.

Pro-rebel media also appears to be uploading footage of the strike — apparently so big it could be seen for miles — and these sources are also confirming a foreign military attack on government locations. Makki notes the airstrikes “caused an earthquake measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale.”

Iranian state media has also confirmed the strikes amidst rumors that Iranian military personnel were targeted in the attacks.

According to Makki, citing Middle East experts, the Israelis might “continue striking these different targets and there are between 20-25 targets to choose from so it will play out considerably.”

Should Israel be confirmed to have carried out the strikes, it would be the third such high level Israeli attack on Syria within a month.

Meanwhile according to unconfirmed Twitter reports, “dozens upon dozens” of Iranian soldiers were killed in the attack.

What is concering is that the attacks take place after Putin personally warned Netanyahu against further strikes in Syria.

Developing story.

Bulldozers………build tunnels and don’t put everything in one place (contact the Mexican cartels – they have best knowledge on tunnels). Do some fakery – make Israhell chase ghosts.

I don’t dislike Jews. I happen to dislike Israel for multitude of reasons.

EL Coyote

Koko the braindead moran, el chapo hired a German outfit to build his tunnel under the prison. The Palestinians have lots of tunnels going into Egypt. The drug cartels may have built one or two tunnels, they also use human mules and unsuspecting drivers crossing back into the USA. Oh, but you were making a funny, weren’t you?

They will not use ….. the updated and highly modified S-300’s unless a major battle ensues because they do not want the US or NATO to be able to decipher how their systems work. Israel and the US continually tries to provoke them into limited use so their systems and be analyzed and counter measures can be designed and deployed. Putin is far too smart to fall for these provocations.

Might be the case, the first time a new weapon is used it shows how it can be defeated.

This ought to become a good test of Russian equipment vs Jew equipment; since offense almost always beats defense, the first Syrian defensive line should become the border and full out tit for tat tactics employed: Israel does not own the World and get to make the rules even if they think god says so. If Israel beats Russia, they get their way; otherwise, they’ll be getting what they deserve.

You do not have to outswim the shark, or more appropriately, out run the bear – just the guy you are with.

Israel does not have to outswim Russia, just Syria and Iran. What is Russia going to do to Israel? Not a damn thing. You think Russia is going to bomb Israel, or invade it? Nope. Not going to happen.

Can Iran or Syria match it with Israel? Not likely. Unless they want to get glassed over.

The entire world needs to stay out of the Middle East. Let them sort out their own issues. The sorting may involve a few nations getting wiped off the face of the earth, but it is not my problem.

Careful; you might get labelled an anti-Semite for saying stuff like that.

I agree the USA should not be there, especially helping cut throat terrorist overthrow Assad who is probably the best “Dictator” the Mideast has ever had or will ever have.

Self defense it the rule of God, and Israel is practicing self defense against those who are actively both advocating and working toward it’s destruction.

I’m just a recent village idiot but I think Israel and Iran might conduct full out warfare on each other using Syria as the battleground. We might even learn that Israel has no nukes and never has. No one has ever seen a verified Israeli nuke have they? Perhaps a case of fake it until you make it? You reckon a revelation like that might change the narrative and posturing in the ME?

IS – Israel has no nukes? Umm, I would not count on that.

They had leading edge nuke scientists. I do not think there is any nation with balls big enough to call their bluff on that.

I don’t know the truth about Israeli nukes anymore than the rest of us. I doubt it will be revealed this year but I think we’re going to learn the truth eventually. Five years from now I doubt we’ll even recognize the ME.

An old player has rejoined the game and roles are changing: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-oil-europe/trumps-revenge-u-s-oil-floods-europe-hurting-opec-and-russia-idUSKBN1HU1QK

I’ll bet the Palestinians regain control of their oil deposits. That should do something to improve the squalor over there.

There’s no shortage of oil.

Oil is a fungible, when we produce more, even if we don’t export it and consume it ourselves, that leaves more on the world market since we are not tapping into it as heavily.

Many factors involved in prices, not just simple petroleum supplies. Probably more political ones than physical ones.

One of them has been the US/Saudi manipulation of the the crude market in order to damage the Russian and Iranian economies.

“If the world is awash in US oil, why did I pay $3.00 a gallon yesterday and Oil is up from $35 a barrel to $70 a barrel.”

So “High Gas Prices” for best actor then?

Great movie so far, REALLY great, but I think the climax is still to come.
Will it be muh nuclear holocaust, muh end of the world, muh political collapse, muh, economic collapse, muh societal/race war collapse, all of the above, muh doom porn collapse or something entirely different? Stay tuned!

No one can point to anything even indicating Israeli testing of nukes, and without testing you simply don’t know if one will work. Why do you think every country know to have one has tested and refined it before building a real workable one that can be used?

It would be foolish to try testing one to see if it works in an actual war, a failure would cost you the war.

And the Israeli’s aren’t fools.

Russia did not destroy the Jews when they invaded Lebanon a few years back but their MPAD rockets sure destroyed Jew tanks and even foot patrols like ducks on a pond. That is the reason the Jews hit and run all over the Mideast with jets now. More advanced Russian equipment could make the Jews pay dearly for all the death and destruction they have been causing all over the Mideast and Syrians and Iranians should return the same Hell to Israel in rockets and jets; probably only restraint by Russia and China prevents it.

No need for Russia to act against Israel at his time. SAA winning big. The S-300’s coming to Syria shortly. If this strike came for F-35 and was not detected, won’t be long before Syria can shoot it down. Bibby getting his rocks off after long weekend with Pompeo. Assume most lethal missiles are stored under ground. Seems like more provocation to start a war, and increase Bibby popularity. In Iran’s interest at moment not to take the bait. Patience is required, as US/Israel trying to blow up Iran nuclear deal.

Same ole shit. Over and over, until one day someone has to shut up for good. None of this is in the interests of the USA people.

a couple of points–
russian oil–exports to europe are down nearly 20% but it is all going thru pipelines to china instead of going by tanker to europe–
russian restraint–some, not all, analysts are predicting that the russian wheat crop will be down because of bad weather–
my take, not stated in the article– while they still have plenty to both feed their people & export large amounts, with cooling world temps meaning possible far lower crops in the near future, putin may believe that it is prudent to allow an ally to be beaten down in case they need to buy foreign crops in the future–
