I grew up in Delaware County. It didn’t suck in the 60’s and 70’s, but it does suck now. It has been overrun by drug dealers and undesirables from Philly. Hacking into electronic road signs could cause quite a problem for government drones.
PennDOT says a sign on I-95 south near the Ridley Park exit was hacked with the message “Delco sucks Dick.”
The hackers have not be caught nor has anyone from Delaware County denied the truth of the message.

I usually attribute traffic sign hackers to youngsters with too much time and too little useful purpose on their hands.
