A NATION BUILT ON LIES (PART 2)

In Part 1 of this article I detailed the damage done by the Deep State and the inevitability of another financial crisis destined to propel this Fourth Turning into its next most violent stage. Now I will examine whether Jordan Peterson’s rules for life can alleviate some of the pain headed our way.

Image result for tell the truth jordan peterson

Peterson’s reality-based assessment of our broken societal system has infuriated the social justice warriors and media propagandists whose narratives are based upon lies, misinformation, fake news, and a pliable dumbed down populace distracted by their techno-gadgets. The machinations of the Deep State (Wall Street cabal, Fed, captured politicians, shadowy billionaires, military industrial complex, surveillance agencies, corporate media) are dependent upon the masses believing their big lies and unquestioningly trusting their provably false narratives.

Telling the truth and demolishing these false narratives with facts is the only way to fight those who have chosen the side of evil. Remaining silent in the face of their lies allows tyranny to expand inexorably and fill the vacuum left by the dearth of courageous truth tellers.

The forces of tyranny are winning. Our banking, financial, political, and media structures are wracked by corruption and controlled by a “few” insiders for the benefit of themselves and their cronies. Smedley Butler said war was a racket, but every institution is now a racket, with a corrupt powerful cadre of evil men reaping riches at the expense of the many. Their rackets are based upon nothing but lies and the continued blissful ignorance of the masses to their flagrant criminal activities.

The dark side of human nature has been on full display as the country has been hijacked by organizations run by psychopaths like Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Soros, Dimon, Bernanke, Paulson, Rubin, Zuckerberg, Bezos and a multitude of lesser known, but equally dangerous, psychopaths infecting government, business and the media.

Those pulling the strings of our ever-degrading society share many of the same traits – superficially charming, pathologically deceitful, manipulative, accepting no responsibility for their actions, lacking empathy, absence of guilt, no humility, dishonest, treacherous, having a grandiose sense of self-worth, and prone to dangerous destructive risk taking. These are the people who rise to power when citizens become lazy, disinterested, willfully ignorant, distracted by social media, dumbed down by government run education, and easily led to believe falsehoods peddled by a media doing the bidding of the psychopaths in power.

Just listen to Brennan or Clapper on fake news CNN or MSNBC to get a glimpse of psychopaths in action. It’s almost as if they believe their own lies. The faux journalist millionaires questioning these scumbags aren’t paid by their corporate masters to uncover the truth, but perpetuate the narrative of lies.

Silence in the face of evil and injustice is condoning such behavior. Wall Street banking executives, rating agency executives, mortgage lenders, government apparatchiks, corrupt politicians, and captured central bankers wrecked the worldwide financial system in 2008, while conducting the largest control fraud heist in history.

They reaped the riches on the way up and when it inevitably blew up, crushed the life savings of the peasants and should have bankrupted the Wall Street perpetrator institutions, they shifted the losses to taxpayers. Not one culprit of this earth-shattering fraud went to jail. The Deep State circled the wagons, protected themselves, and used their propaganda media to paint false narratives regarding the causes and perpetrators. Wall Street won. Main Street lost, again.

We are now experiencing a sordid replay, as a surveillance state coup initiated by Obama and carried out by top government officials in the DNC, FBI, DOJ and NSA against Trump should result in the imprisonment of these traitors in just system. Instead, the culprits continue to investigate the provably false accusations of Russian collusion as a distraction from their own crimes.

These psychopaths are so invested in their criminal charade, they are willing to risk conflict with Russia to retain their power and control over the surveillance state. Government apparatchiks go through the motions of pretending to investigate, issuing thousand-page reports, holding hearings, and presenting a picture of action to the ignorant masses. No one is prosecuted, no one will go to prison, and the Deep State remains in control. The white hats are not winning.

Ideologues remain firmly in dominion over the day to day machinations of our society. The ideologies of two party state are an over-simplification of a complex reality, based upon lies. Slogans and bullet points are a simple-minded substitute for the messy truth of a multifaceted world and are geared to appeal to the emotions of a populace who have been trained to feel rather than think by the State.

The remedies and solutions put forth by the two party Deep State ideologues to make the world a better place consistently make the world far worse for the majority. The remedies and solutions always result in further enrichment and hegemony of those implementing the remedies and solutions. Their blatant self-interest and hubris will ultimately lead to chaos and hopefully their downfall.

You can feel the pressure building daily as these men of low character ignore the dangerous environment they have created with no acknowledgement of the consequences of their actions. It is apparent chaos, confusion, and disarray are beneficial to the powers that be as they attempt to retain and expand their control over the operating systems of our society.

The never-ending culture war incidents propagandized by the mainstream media; organized violent resistance by BLM and Antifa paid for by Soros; and the gun grabbing protests staged after each school shooting by left wing funded organizations, are nothing but diversions designed to keep the population focused on trivialities while those in power pillage and loot the national treasury, leaving nothing but worthless IOUs.

There is no good guy superman coming to save the day. The lure of power and money distorts and derails the efforts of courageous men and women to try and change the system from within. Anyone telling the truth and challenging the status quo, as Representative Jim Jordan has been doing, is immediately attacked with false accusations and destroyed by the Deep State. Ask Snowden or Assange about the implications of revealing the truth about the Deep State.

Image result for tell the truth jordan peterson How do you defeat the Deep State? As aptly described ninety years ago by Edward Bernays, they constitute the invisible government manipulating the public mind, molding our tastes, presenting their ideas as our own, pulling the strings behind the curtain and dominating every sphere of our daily lives. When viewed from 50,000 feet it seems hopeless. How can one man or one woman do anything to defeat an enemy as strong as those of enormous wealth controlling the levers of politics, finance, banking, war, healthcare, education, media, and culture?

With millions of zombie-like citizens mesmerized by their screens and lacking critical thinking skills, basic mathematical skills, and willfully ignorant of the truth, it is more than an uphill battle. But there are men and women of strong character and courage willing to do whatever it takes to prevail against adversity and evil.

Anyone with their eyes wide open can see the country is on pathway towards chaos. The divisions grow deeper by the day. Animosity intensifies with each social justice incident flame, fanned by the pliant media. The violence escalates as competing factions represent the vanguard for the coming civil war. The polarizing presence of Donald Trump in the White House tweeting taunts at his enemies on the left, right and in the media, is acting as a trigger for the next phase of our current Fourth Turning.

We are on a journey into darkness, lost in a blizzard of lies and deceit, victimized by our own failure to tell the truth, accept the truth, and insist our leaders convey the truth. I know not whether good or evil will prevail in the coming tests, but the potential for catastrophe is high. Could the country descend into chaos and end up in the midst of totalitarian subjugation? After decades of suppression, when this fire starts, it will be devastating.

“Forest fires burn out deadwood and return trapped elements to the soil. Sometimes, however, fires are suppressed, artificially. That does not stop the deadwood from accumulating. Sooner or later, a fire will start. When it does, it will burn so hot that everything will be destroyed—even the soil in which the forest grows.”Jordan B. Peterson, 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos

Defeating the Deep State will not occur in one grand, do or die, battle. They must be defeated using guerrilla war tactics of hit and run by small units of courageous truth tellers. We know the Deep State is led by self-centered psychopaths who can become blinded by their own hubris and arrogance. They have been emboldened by their success during the 21st Century and have gotten reckless with their debt based financial schemes, surveillance activities, and blatant disregard for the democratic process.

Their machinations will lead to another financial crisis which will make 2008 seem like a walk in the park. This will offer the truth tellers an opportunity to present pure stark facts for others to hear and contemplate, so enough people can be convinced to find common ground and proceed forward towards a better tomorrow.

With Western values and norms, based on a common culture, common language, common religion, and shared responsibility for future unborn generations, being attacked and denigrated, many are wallowing in nihilism, falling prey to the despondency of purposelessness. Our nation was built upon a foundation of values and traditions built up slowly over two centuries. We learned to live together and organize our complex society through trial and error over long periods of time.

The recent attempts by vocal violent minorities to overturn centuries of social norms to adhere to their warped ideologies is tearing the civic fabric of our society. These attempts at social revolution are destabilizing, dangerous and will lead to violence in the streets. Inflicting the beliefs of a few upon the many is a recipe for disaster. The talk of civil war is permeating the airwaves and blogosphere.

It may seem quaint and naive, but for good to win out over evil will take individuals showing the courage to speak the truth when the majority don’t want to listen and have been brainwashed by the Deep State propaganda machine. There will be no savior riding in on a white horse to save the day. Believing that nonsense is for the weak minded and cowardly. Individuals must step forward and do the right thing.

I have dedicated the last nine years of my blog to promoting the truth in the face of a constant barrage of lies from my government, central bankers, Wall Street, and the fake news media. I’ve tried to tell the truth to the best of my ability. I’ve encouraged other truth telling people to make their voices heard. I post articles by others I believe to be truth tellers. At times it seems useless, as the liars and knaves continue to win.

Telling the truth has had negative financial impacts, as Deep State co-conspirators Google, Amazon and Yahoo have banned my site. Websites such as Seeking Alpha, Financial Sense, Op-Ed News and Safe Haven that once published my articles no longer do so, because my truth telling wasn’t beneficial to their bottom line. Wall Street scum and left wing social justice warriors have called my employer to demand my firing.

Each individual has an obligation to make a difference in this world by telling the blunt, unvarnished truth. This country is broken. It can only be repaired through the efforts of courageous truth telling individuals, willing to make a stand on behalf of future generations. If enough individuals can be persuaded to tell the truth and listen to the truth, a tipping point can be reached and the Deep State will crumble into a pile of toxic rubble. Everyone needs to follow Peterson’s simple rule: “Tell the truth. Or, at least, don’t lie.”

Image result for tell the truth

“We must each adopt as much responsibility as possible for individual life, society and the world. We must each tell the truth and repair what is in disrepair and break down and recreate what is old and outdated. It is in this manner that we can and must reduce the suffering that poisons the world. It’s asking a lot. It’s asking for everything. But the alternative— the horror of authoritarian belief, the chaos of the collapsed state, the tragic catastrophe of the unbridled natural world, the existential angst and weakness of the purposeless individual— is clearly worse.”Jordan B. Because of the Deliberate Dumbing Down of Americans, over generations the TRUTH will and IS being used as propaganda now…
The key aspect of propaganda is timing! Just look at the Harvey Weinstein story and #metoo movement….everyone knew this douchebag was doing this for decades, So why now?
Because the social engineers pulling the levers say it is.

Americans are like mushrooms, fed shit by the mockingbird media and kept in the dark from their government with security clearance jargon
Harvest time nears…
in business terms a major LIQUIDATION is in the cards

Our side still has the internet and the Second Amendment, but both are under chronic attack. One can provide a truthful alternative to the verbal attacks and propaganda of the liars, as Jim so eloquently demonstrates, and the other provides physical protection if they choose to take the conflict to that level. If we do nothing else, working to guard these must be a priority.

Did the last election make any real difference? So far, the extent of change we hoped for has not materialized, but some good things have been accomplished. Clearly, a Clinton presidency would be a nightmare. So perhaps giving up on voting is premature, and the midterms promise to be a crucial election.

My mental health requires a fast from the news and current events that can take up hours of a day. I believe one reason everybody is stressed and unhappy is we spend too much time trying to keep up with it all, which means mucking around in the playground of TPTB. I try to keep a balance, spending more time in my own back yard, so to speak. The problem for the individual trying to cope in this environment is a real one.

I’ve always wondered how cool your boss, and boss’s boss – and so on, have to be to bear the barrage of assholes who would play that underhanded game. Great piece – one of many for you. Still, I think this 4T is not going to go the way of violence. Yes, it’s because of what Trump is doing and while not perfect – when you step back, you can see great things happening. Yes, Q has shed much light on the Trump swamp draining machine machinations that many here loathe. But, at least here – for now, we can disagree and leave it at that. That’s what we’ve lost most, isn’t it? Admin, stay away from 30 blocks – they’ll be dragging whitey out of little cars soon enough, especially if the assholes who want you fired go away unsatisfied and redirect their liberal butthurt. Something tells me the soldiers will follow orders.

Great two-part article Jim. Sage words and well written as usual.

“…With millions of zombie-like citizens mesmerized by their screens and lacking critical thinking skills, basic mathematical skills, and willfully ignorant of the truth, it is more than an uphill battle. But there are men and women of strong character and courage willing to do whatever it takes to prevail against adversity and evil…” – JQ

There will be no savior riding in on a white horse to save the day. Believing that nonsense is for the weak minded and cowardly. Individuals must step forward and do the right thing…” – JQ

I have always found it a curiosity that physical courage seems so common, yet moral courage seems so very rare. It is in summoning up that ‘moral courage’ though that is in the few, yet perhaps just sleeping in the many, that can bring about change for the better of all.

Remember Neo’s warning though. Most of the dumbed-down masses aren’t ready to be unplugged. It’s going to be a difficult journey…

During the Bundy Ranch fiasco, out of all the thugs from the BLM (the Interior Dep’t. agency, not the other one), FBI, Department of Justice [sic], Marshall’s Service, and Federal Courts, one honest man stood up and made all the difference. Larry Wooten, who was taken off the case because of his integrity, wrote a [leaked] report so damning that even the crooked judge (Navarro) who was neck deep in trying to railroad the Bundys was forced to dismiss the case due to the publicity.

The incredibly corrupt federal attorney, Steven Myhre, along with all of the corrupt thugs of various agencies who conspired to assassinate an entire family with snipers and/or imprison them on fabricated charges are still “on the job”, which should make us all happy and proud. This also includes the FBI goons who whacked LaVoy Finicum mafia-style for supporting the Bundys.

But the Bundys are free (for now) thanks to one honest man.

2 Tim 2:15… “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

John 17:17… “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

There is a single vehicle that guides us toward understanding the truth of our human condition. Without it “truth” becomes relative to the individual and thus no truth at all. Relative truth is why we are where we find ourselves.

Grizzly Bare writes… “Most people don’t want the truth. They just want reassurance that what they already believe is the truth. -Unknown”

Ain’t that the truth. The truth hurts because man is wicked and dishonest (Jer 17:9).

Heb 4:12… “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Jordan Peterson and each one of us here, would do well to open a King James Bible and read the 13 short epistles of Paul over and over again. God fixed this mess for us. While in this life we are not immune from sins presence, we can be made immune from its penalty.

2 Cor 5:21… “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Greetings,
People most certainly do not like the truth. An acquaintance of mine is a kindergarten teacher here in Tourist Town. He is a smart guy, middle of the road politics and a wonderful musician. Even with all of that, the truth of Calpers and the 1/2 trillion budget hole is something he refuses to accept. It doesn’t matter that California will have to increase taxes by 400% or he wont see a penny in retirement because he is invested in the failed system. You can whistle past the graveyard all you want but the math doesn’t lie.

This is also true of our infrastructure. Spending on infrastructure went from 28% of our budget to under 3% of our budget. This was done so that people that will never contribute anything to society can live a life of comfort and vote for the Democrat du jour. Who cares that we have more than 600 dams that are just waiting to fail or that the condition of our roads does almost $900 in damages per car per year here in California. Even if the state spent every single penny collected in taxes, it would take years just to get caught up on the backlog of needed critical repairs. This refusal to look at the truth will continue until the checks stop and the roads become impassable to the trucks we so desperately depend on. When that happens, we’ll have about ten million dumbfounded layabouts go full retard.

Reading the article I thought of the age-old axiom of honesty really being the best policy. Without honesty – logic and math will always demand pain.

NickelthroweR writes:

It’s because the truth hurts. For me, realism is rooted in demographics, logic, and math. Therefore, pessimism and fatalism ensues. Like reading Jim’s part 2 above, it’s painful.

Yet, for me, it’s not a choice. I started my blog in September of 2016 believing full well that Hillary was going to win. The people here have given me hope; even if now I am not so sure. Still, I won’t stop. The people in my circle and beyond will be without excuse.

Nonetheless, whenever I post anything or attempt to be honest with the blue-pilled sheeple, I remain haunted by a quote from Netflix’s Stranger Things, Season 2, Episode 5 where a vodka-drinking, bearded, balding man wearing a robe and sporting circa 1960’s Austin Powers-type eyeglasses exclaimed:

You’re being naive, Nancy! Those people… They’re not wired like me and you, okay? They don’t spend their lives trying to get a look at what’s behind the curtain. They LIKE the curtain. It provides them stability, comfort, definition.

This… this would OPEN the curtain, and the curtain BEHIND that curtain, okay? So the minute someone with an ounce of authority calls bullshit, everyone will nod their heads and say, “See? Ha! I knew it! It was bullshit.”

That is if you even get their attention at all.

Greetings,
Some of it might depend on the career field the person is in when it comes to the truth. If you work in engineering as I do these days then it is simply impossible to ignore the truth. See, it doesn’t matter how much time I put into a design or whether or not I really really really want it to work because if the physics behind a design is flawed then no amount of wishful thinking is going change that ever.

I am also very fortunate in that when something doesn’t work then it explodes, lights on fire, blows the circuit breakers, shocks me with high voltage, etc. I get feedback such that the design is instantly shelved. Sadly, we do not get that with government. When a government policy blows up, they just double down. When a government policy hurts someone the government doesn’t care ’cause it didn’t get hurt and it is unaccountable. After all, we’ve had Johnson’s Great Society for my entire lifetime and I have a hard time imagining those failed programs ever going away.

Governments and the people that depend on government in order to survive can push bad social policy until it finally trips the circuit breaker but by that time it is too late – you’ve lost everything on the circuit until the reset. The question: Which circuit breaker trips first???

Greetings,
That makes sense because everything is fluid now. Only in the realm of engineering can you still look at some diversity hire in HR or Public Relations and say, “no, it works like this and only this”. They hate that.

Quick Story: I’m doing a live gig for the owners of the two superbowl teams. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is going to be flapping his gums at this event so we’ve dropped a really good system in place for him – something that would please most bands out on tour. Anyway, I’m checking sound levels on Roger’s microphone in this big empty hall when some female diversity hire production assistant tells me that Roger’s microphone is way too loud and that I must turn it down. I explain the physics of an empty room vs a full one and go on to try to explain that I’ve calculated the power needed to push over a lively crowd and that this was exactly the volume I needed.

She didn’t care one bit and told me I’d be fired if I did not do exactly as she said. OK. Normally, I’d just ignore her ’cause she cant fire me but I decided to do exactly as she said. Roger took the stage to quite a bit of fanfare and then spoke to himself because I refused to bring his microphone volume up and, instead, I watched the stupid production assistant flap her arms like a giant bird as she tried to get my attention. It was probably her job to hand Roger a cup of water when he was finished so she was unable to make her way over to me and all she could do, again, was to flail about.

In a situation like that, I’d have a stage manager or technical manager up my ass but I pointed out the woman flapping her arms (we are all on comm) and explained how we’d all be fired if we actually made it so Roger could be heard. Since we all universally hate women like this, we just let it go and when the customer demanded our heads I calmly explained that I was both ordered and threatened by diversity girl.

By this stage in my career, I just didn’t care anymore. I was already producing my own audio products and finishing out my commitments in live audio production. I made sure that the press had a good strong feed though. Anyway, I do not know what happened to this woman but I hope I taught her a valuable lesson – don’t fvck with the engineers!!

Once upon a time, there was an old man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach every morning before he began his work. Early one morning, he was walking along the shore after a big storm had passed and found the vast beach littered with starfish as far as the eye could see, stretching in both directions.

Off in the distance, the old man noticed a small boy approaching. As the boy walked, he paused every so often and as he grew closer, the man could see that he was occasionally bending down to pick up an object and throw it into the sea. The boy came closer still and the man called out, “Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?”

The young boy paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean. The tide has washed them up onto the beach and they can’t return to the sea by themselves,” the youth replied. “When the sun gets high, they will die, unless I throw them back into the water.”

The old man replied, “But there must be tens of thousands of starfish on this beach. I’m afraid you won’t really be able to make much of a difference.”

The boy bent down, picked up yet another starfish and threw it as far as he could into the ocean. Then he turned, smiled and said, “It made a difference to that one!”

Just because you can’t always SEE the results of your brilliant writing … well, that doesn’t mean there aren’t any!

From Corrie Ten Boom’s book Reflections of God’s Glory …

==============

“As she spoke, she slowly unfolded the purple cloth in her hands and revealed hundreds of strings tied in knots and pulled through the cloth. It all looked so random. She showed the children how the strings didn’t seem to make sense from where they sat at her feet on the floor in the living room.

That’s the whole point,” she exclaimed. She said it was because of our limited vision, our limited perspective of what God is doing in our lives, that we question Him.

At that point Tante (aunt) Corrie slowly turned the purple tangled mess around to reveal a beautiful tapestry: a crown of gold with multicolored jewels.

“This” she said, “is what God sees….from His perspective….a masterpiece!”

Well, Stucky, still and alive and kicking, are you!

I read a variation of this story many years ago. I was struck by the meaningfulness then as I was, today, reading it again.

It’s a cause and effect Universe. Thoughts have consequences (thoughts are actions), and actions have, most often, unintended consequences. It is impossible to know all the ramifications of our actions, we’re not God. So, how do we know whether our action’s unintended consequences are good or evil? It comes from the intentions we hold when the action is initiated. It’s intention that determines good and evil. Intention is the creative aspect of God. Were suppose to be created in the image of God and as such we have the attributes of God. Therefore, intention is the creative aspect of us, too. All action is preceded by intention whether we recognize that fact or not. Intention is very subtle, almost below consciousness. Something we rarely think about which is why evil is so easy. I’ll give you an example. I was in Costco a while back waiting to use the coffee grinder. I engaged the woman before me in conversation as she had several packages of coffee to grind. On the last package, the coffee filled only 2/3 of the bag and the woman was wondering about that. I knew exactly why, the coffee was stuck to the inside of the grinder and had not been ground. I intended not to tell her and therefore benefit from the extra coffee left in the hopper. She left not realizing she left part of her coffee behind. “Looser weepers, finders keepers” some would say. I could have helped her, but instead chose not to and acted selfishly to realize a gain at her expense. I did evil that day. I broke with my Ideal for a selfish gain. I regret that. I ignored the golden rule, “Do unto others as I would want them to do unto me.” It wasn’t a great sin as sins go, some would say, but I think differently.
Some how that package of coffee, just didn’t taste the same.

The small boy intended to do good in saving the life of a starfish. The unintended consequences may have been that the bay was repopulated by that very starfish he cast into the sea. The old man in raising the question, what difference does it make as it all seems so pointless, displayed a nihilistic bent.

What I took from this story is that one should do good and do so unabashedly despite consensus and reasoning to contrary, after all who knows the unintended consequences of doing good. The whole world could be transformed.

Awesome! Thank you foe taking the time to tell your story about the coffee at Costco.
You think similar to me when it comes to intentions…
Very powerful force that can be easily influenced by selfish thinking or our pride. Check out Uncola’s most recent post for some good discussion too

“What I took from this story is that one should do good and do so unabashedly despite consensus and reasoning to contrary, after all who knows the unintended consequences of doing good. The whole world could be transformed.”

Amen and amen Homer. As scripture is what’s always on my mind this reminds me of the Jews searching for Paul in Thessalonica. They were not happy with him to say the least…

Acts 17:6… “And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;”

Paul and the few with him were preaching the grace of God to all men and thus the casting aside of the nation Israel. They “turned the world upside down” with their gospel of free grace.

In your post you also write… “Were suppose to be created in the image of God and as such we have the attributes of God.”

This is not scripturally accurate. Adam and Eve were created in the image of God it is true (Gen 1:17). The problem is that Adam chose to follow satan’s lead, not God’s and therefore fell from Gods perfect image. Adam’s children, of which we are, were therefore subsequently created in Adams fallen image; thus the need for salvation in the first place.

Gen 5:3… “And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:”

Romans 5:12… “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

The attributes humans naturally have are not of our Creator God but of the god of this world satan, as this world has been usurped by him with Adams given permission. Adam, by sinning, “delivered” the dominion of this world, which was given by God to him, over to satan. We see this truth displayed in:

Luke 4:5-6… “And the devil, taking Him up into an high mountain, shewed unto Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto Him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: FOR THAT IS DELIVERED UNTO ME; and to whomsoever I will I give it.”

Even with this very common misunderstanding, your conclusion is absolutely correct. Do good. Paul, speaking to the church, explains “good” beautifully in:

Philippians 2:3-4… “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”

Would not the world be transformed if such were so?!?!

grace country pastor, you quote a lot of biblical passages and I’m convinced you fervently believe them and act faithfully consistent with those beliefs and that’s perfectly acceptable. I didn’t say, “perfectly acceptable to me” as I assumed you understood that and there’s the rub. Old Testament writers wrote with the understanding that the readers had knowledge of the assumptions behind the literal words they were putting down on paper. Although the literal words haven’t changed much thru time (there is an uncanny consistency between ancient documents of the past and the present time), however, meanings and assumptions behind those words have changed.

The passages of the bible have become dogma. “Dogma”–a specific tenet or doctrine authoritatively laid down, as by a church–prescribed doctrine proclaimed as unquestionably true by a particular group.

I have no quarrel with dogma as long as dogma leads you to the greater truth behind the the written word and the scripture doesn’t become the end all to be literally and unquestionably believed and followed. That becomes a trap to further understanding and redemption.

Without going into beliefs and belief systems and structures and how they influence behavior, just let me say that the past 2000 yrs of religious history has been a train wreck for humanity.
I think the reason is that the two most fundamental questions of existence have not been answered (understood). What is the nature of God (What Is) and what is the nature of the human person. We are all at some level of understanding in answering these two questions. I liken it to a school system. Some of us are at a kindergarten level of understanding and some of us are at the college level and most are in between. I would put Jesus in the PhD category and we are all trying to get our PhD’s. Just as we wouldn’t expect a fourth grader to teach Quantum Mechanics to a college student, we wouldn’t expect a PhD to teach Quantum Mechanics to a fourth grader except in terms the fourth grader understands. This is why, I think, Jesus taught in parables because there are different levels of understanding in a parable and like water understanding seeks its own level and as wisdom increases the parables take on new meaning.

I said, “Were suppose to be created in the image of God and as such we have the attributes of God.” and you said, “This is not scripturally accurate. Adam and Eve were created in the image of God it is true (Gen 1:17). The problem is that Adam chose to follow satan’s lead, not God’s and therefore fell from Gods perfect image. ”

An attribute of something is a substance which without it, it wouldn’t be the same thing. Wetness is an attribute of water at room temperature. I ask you, could wetness be separated from water? Would it still be water? The blacksmith’s hammer pounds the red hot iron on the anvil and sparks fly off. Do the separated sparks have the attributes of the red hot iron which gave it birth? Do the sparks ever become less than the whole, although not the whole, but a part of the whole? Is it possible for us to have attributes different than the Matrix out of which we were created? I believe not. What appears as different is a difference of perception of understanding. What Adam lost was not his relationship with God, but his remembrance of his relationship with God.

There is a reality behind literal words and it’s the reality that’s important.

Great post Homer. I do have some different thoughts on the nature of scripture from than the ones you seem to hold. Please tell me if I’m wrong. I quote much scripture because I view it as the only absolute truth contained in our world. His words are far better than mine. The words I speak might be true and then again the may not be. God cannot lie, therefore, the words He speaks are Truth.

Titus 1:1-3… “Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; In hope of eternal life, which God, THAT CANNOT LIE, promised before the world began; But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;”

The way I view scripture is that is the inspired and preserved Word of God to man. What a concept. Our Creator who spoke the universe into existence wrote a Book for his creation that His creation might understand Him and the nature of the world itself. It is the worlds sole container of absolute truth.

2 Peter 1:21… “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

These words of scripture, in whatever language they are presented today, did not originate in the minds of men. The mind of God moved the men to pen the words. Sometimes the prophets didn’t even understand what they were writing. It is not hard for me to accept this as Truth. If God could literally “speak” reality as we perceive it into existence, how hard would it be for Him to write a book? He is God after all.

You write… “Without going into beliefs and belief systems and structures and how they influence behavior, just let me say that the past 2000 yrs of religious history has been a train wreck for humanity.”

You are 100% correct in that assessment. Religion itself is a train wreck. May we define religion as mans attempt to please God or assuage His anger? I see that as the most accurate picture of “religious activity”. It could take the form of prayer, penitence, humbling oneself, going to church, eating the cracker, feeding the hungry, visiting the prisoner, etc. What all these activities have in common is that the man doing them has as his goal, pleasing God or assuaging His anger. Sometimes religious activity, depending upon the religion, catholicism and islam come immediately to mind as the most vulgar examples (catholicism being far more covertly evil as it cloaks itself in “Jesus”), can mean “convert or die”. I have no idea how many have lost their lives in such pursuits but Foxx’s “Book of Martyrs” will further your understanding if so inclined.

I am personally as opposed to religion as any human can be. Religion is poison. The reason is that there is NOTHING a man can do to please God or to assuage His anger today. ALL religious activity IS vanity. The only “activity” that satisfied these two conditions (pleasing God and assuaging His anger) is the death of the Word of God (TRUTH Himself) made flesh on the cross. He is the Just AND the Justifier of them which believe. God has rightly declared ALL men (Jew and Gentile) to be sinners deserving of death. Yet His grace and love for us is truly amazing. How do I KNOW this to be true? God says so.

Rom 3:23-26… “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”

In old testament times God was pleased by Israel’s following of the law. You will notice that more often than not, they failed to do so. God wasn’t pleased… You will also notice that I didn’t say that “belief” was poison. If men believed the Word they would realize that there is ZERO God ordained religion in this age or dispensation of free grace from God toward man. The only “religion” God ever ordained was the following of the perfect and just law (Judaism). The law which men are no longer under. The only “lawful” use of the law today is to demonstrate to man that he CANNOT keep it (only Christ, God Himself, could) and is therefore in need of a Savior.

Rom 6:14… “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

Of course we “ought” to “do good” but we are not commanded to “do” anything whatsoever in the furtherance of our salvation. It is forbidden as such works produces debt and God owes man NOTHING. God did it all by paying the penalty of sin which is death.

You write… “I have no quarrel with dogma as long as dogma leads you to the greater truth behind the the written word and the scripture doesn’t become the end all to be literally and unquestionably believed and followed. That becomes a trap to further understanding and redemption.”

Here I have sincere disagreement with you. Gods words are not dogma, they are simply Gods words for us to either believe or not. Belief systems (religions) are dogmatic. How can the Book God wrote not be taken completely literally and believed unquestionably? This is our Creator we are speaking of here. If He wrote a Book, should we not earnestly search out the wisdom contained therein and believe it? If we can’t trust God, than nothing can be trusted. We would be adrift in a sea of lies. That is not what God wants for man. He wants us to know Him. If there was ever a Book to be taken as absolute Truth it would be that one, yet in the world, it is usually the last one men come to. That’s unfortunate but not surprising understanding the nature of religion in the world and who is at its head, satan. The wisdom of men while sometimes clever and productive cannot compare to the wisdom of our Creator.

1 Cor 1:20-21… “Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”

The world “by it’s own wisdom” knows not God because it does not seek out Gods wisdom found in one single Book (collection) of 66 books, the Bible. King James for English speaking people.

You write… “This is why, I think, Jesus taught in parables because there are different levels of understanding in a parable and like water understanding seeks its own level and as wisdom increases the parables take on new meaning.”

Jesus actually tells us why He spoke in parables. It was so that non believers (the majority of Jews) WOULD NOT understand what he was saying! They were not worthy of His words. Pearls before swine and all…

Mat 13:10-13… “And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you (Jewish believers) to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them (Jewish unbelievers) it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.”

Remarkable, no? Most everyone would side with you, yet it’s clearly not the case. Please understand I am not pointing these things out in order to make myself look more scripturally literate than you. I might be, I might not be, but that’s not important. What’s important (at least to me and hopefully for some here such as yourself) is for people to come to proper understanding of scripture. This is Gods will for man today.

1 Tim 2:3-4… “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

We are the only humans in history to have in our possession the completed and Word of God to man, perfect and without error. God is perfect (His word therefore can’t not be) and He said He would preserve His word forever. How can I not believe and take Him at his word?

Psalm 12:6-7… “The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

Our Apostle Paul tells us to “study”. Study what? Scripture of course, the wisdom of God. Manifested progressively and preserved over the course of thousands of years.

2 Tim 2:15… “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

You write… “What Adam lost was not his relationship with God, but his remembrance of his relationship with God.”

What Adam lost was eternal life. God banned him from the garden which contained the tree that would have provided eternal life for him. And thank God He did!

Gen 3:22-23… “And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.”

Has Adam eaten of the tree of life in his fallen “dead” condition, redemption would not have been possible for man today. We would have been, like the fallen angels, forever cursed in eternal “dead” (destined for hell) bodies. All men are resurrected into eternal bodies. Many will not enjoy where they wind up all for simple lack of belief in what God says. Words on a page…

Manifold wisdom…!

You write… “There is a reality behind literal words and it’s the reality that’s important.”

The Word of God is reality. Without it the world is seen through worldly human eyes and is therefore skewed by our fallen, selfish, sinful human nature. We need to see the world through Gods eyes in order to truly understand what is going on here.

John 1:1-4, 14… “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

Thanks for your reply! I hope we have the opportunity to continue to interact respectfully, in agreement or disagreement, as our host posts more and more articles for us to read and gather round.

grace and peace to you and yours…!

I don’t want to imply that I think that you are wrong. I don’t. But what I would like to point out is that you make the classic mistake of thinking that your truth is the true truth. Those who you oppose believe just as fervently that their truth is the true truth.

The search for true truth requires that all sides communicate with each other in an honest effort to learn what is true. This starts with definitions of words as no one can communicate without a shared (and agreed upon) definition. You seem to suggest that evil is that which you do not accept. Others may define evil as a poor child starving. Even more divorced from reality are those who claim that evil is that which contradicts god’s will. Until all are willing to discuss quietly the differences in the opinions that they hold, nothing can be accomplished.

The repair that you seek can only come through reasoned dialog. It is either that, or you have to slaughter every man woman and child who might oppose your self righteous ideology. And that is exactly what happened in Russia, China, and Cambodia. That is extremism. That is “I am right, you are wrong, deal with it.”

Hollywood- Perhaps you focused on what the truth is too much in his article.
Start with what it is not, Truth is not Lies, we can all agree on that.
There will be no constructive dialog with liars, no matter the linguistic effort.
Further we can use this as a basis to determine who Admin was referring to as “evil”.
They are the Liars.
Those that knowingly lie for personal gain are evil.
It’s not: ” You seem to suggest that evil is that which you do not accept”, its the liars he does not accept, and therefore evil, I thought he made that clear.
You also said” Those who you oppose believe just as fervently that their truth is the true truth.”
Not the liars, they know the data is false, they know their news stories are lies, they know exactly what they are doing and continue to do it with great benefit.
Sure there is some group of people all fucked up and actually believe their lies as truth, but those are not the ones he is referring to throughout.
They are just broken.
The liars are evil.

Thank you Otto. You made my point far more eloquently than I ever could. You are the evil that you profess to oppose. You get to define who is lying and you get to chose to label those people as ones who do evil by lying. That puts you in the unenviable position of being right, all others of being wrong, and they have to deal with it.

Still no problem solved.

Hollywood, I agree absolutely with most of what you are saying here about the necessity for dialog and the need for precisely defined terminology.

“The repair that you seek can only come through reasoned dialog. It is either that, or you have to slaughter every man woman and child who might oppose your self righteous ideology. And that is exactly what happened in Russia, China, and Cambodia. That is extremism. That is “I am right, you are wrong, deal with it.” is an inarguable truth in itself.

However, truth cannot be relative. Relativism has the effect of disconnecting you from reality. If you are disconnected from reality you lose the ability to make judgements. The matrix wants you to believe that truth is relative, because it leaves you with no foundation to stand on. You become dis-empowered and easily manipulated.

Hollywood, Not to beat a dead horse, but I’ve been thinking more about this. Perhaps you are using the word truth imprecisely. Maybe a more accurate word for what you are talking about is perception. Truth is absolute. Either something is or it isn’t. Perception on the other hand is subjective and relative.

No bare, I am being very precise. You suspect that there is an absolute truth, and there most certainly is, but on most things that you could reference you would find that the truth that you hold, or the truth that I hold, is based on a set of “facts” that we have been told are true. You may hold that the big bang started the universe. You can find many who will tell you that in their learned opinion there was in fact a big bang. And yet, the inconsistencies in the big bang theory are so immense that an entire theory of a universe expanding faster than the speed of light has to be ginned up to support it. It’s a great theory. Everyone believes that it is the truth. But it is most surely not the truth.

I could go on but you get my point. Rather than focusing on truth in admins piece I would rather focus on the definitions of the words that we bandy about without much thought. Words like evil. A really simple word. But what does it mean? What does it mean to you? What does it mean to Stucky? How about the pope. You know, that pope who moved all of those child molesters around the world to keep them out of prison. The one who probably had a few of those young boys himself back in the day. I guess he doesn’t think that diddling little boys is evil. I do. You do. We all do. And yet, on every sunday, all around the world, millions of people march into catholic churches and pray to a god that apparently allowed little boys to be diddled and made one of the diddlers into his pope. His voice on earth. Your earth. Is the catholic church evil because some of the priests diddle little boys? Is it evil because it syphons great wads of money off the poor of the world? I don’t know, it really depends on the definition of evil. So go look it up.

I found the dictionary to be really unsatisfying myself but you might find better insight than I did. And this is just one word. There are many thousands of words that some of use. We all think that we know what those words mean, but I am not so sure. I am not a catholic so I think that priests diddling young boys is evil. You might have some other pet peeve that you want to call evil. Maybe they are all evil, but still, it is a difficult concept to pin down and my claim is that it difficult because people who write dictionaries want it to be difficult.

But I have now gotten to the point where I should be writing an article and not filling up the comments section with my drunken drivel. Thank you for you well considered comments.

What you call the truth that you hold, and the truth that are hold, would probably be more accurately defined as beliefs. Our beliefs are definitely what the fighting is all about, but they have nothing to do with truth. Like you say we base our beliefs on a set of “facts” that we gather through a filter. How close our facts come to the truth depends on the quality of our filter. I think Mr. Quinn’s filter is working about as good as any other I’ve read from.

No Bare, I am not being relativistic. I am promoting that all truth, as we hold it currently, is incomplete truth. Some truth we know well enough to build a bridge without having it fall down on us. Some truth we have absolutely no proof for. Some truth is so far from the truth that it must most assuredly be closer to delusion than truth. And yet there are those who would die on their truths. It is not the belief in a truth that determines the veracity of the contended truth. It is not relativism. I am not contending that truth is relative, I am contending that truth is difficult, and there is almost certainly not one single truth that you can name that will not evolve as we learn more. The search for truth is what underlies science. The belief in a relative truth is what underlies religion.

Sorry Hollywood, I didn’t mean to dodge your question about evil. I think a large book could be written about what it is or isn’t. I understand your point that we use these words without really thinking or knowing precisely what they mean to the one who hears it. I do think most of us have a pretty well developed sense or right and wrong. Most of us have a conscience. Evil is obvious to me. That which bothers my conscience. Some things bother it more than others. I understand your point that we don’t all agree on it. One person might believe that masturbation is evil, while another might see it as a wholesome activity. But those are beliefs, not truths.

When we talk about good and evil what we are really talking about is morality. I think the truth about what is moral comes down to the question of private property. Who owns my body? Is it mine or does it belong to the collective? If it belongs to the collective then we can have no basis for morality or what is right or wrong. The state deems what is good and what is evil, and being merely a cell in and organism rather than an individual we can do nothing but accept whatever the State decides, regardless if it is arbitrary.

On the other hand if my body belongs to me and is my own private property, nobody has the right to violate it. I have the right to defend my property. Voluntary cooperation is good. Coercion is evil. There is nothing evil in using violence to defend my private property, but to use violence outside of the defense of that property is evil. This is how civilization was formed, peaceful cooperation promotes prosperity and stability. That is part of why collectivism always ultimately fails. We have a set of basic rules that we can all agree on that promote that prosperity and stability. Things like murder, rape, kidnapping theft and arson are a violation of my private property which makes them counterproductive to a peaceful stabil society therefore we can all agree that they are evil. and we should have laws against them. You can believe that masturbation is evil. If it bothers your conscience perhaps it is evil to you, but it doesn’t violate anyone’s private property so you have no right to say it is evil for anyone else, therefore a law against it would be immoral.

I could go on but you get my point. It’s not that hard to figure out what’s right and what’s wrong.

To finish my previous comment I would also say that not all opinions are equally valid. To regard them as such is falling into the trap of relativism.

You guys are busy separating fly shit from pepper. The definition of a monster is somebody or something that does harm to a defenseless other. Evil is the result.
Unless the agency doing harm is a legitimate government. It has a higher authority.

Jesus Before Pilate
…Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world; if it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews. But now, My kingdom is not of this realm.” “Then You are a king!” Pilate said. “You say that I am a king, Jesus answered. “For this reason I was born and have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to My voice.” “What is truth?” Pilate asked. And having said this, he went out again to the Jews and told them, “I find no basis for a charge against Him.…

Truth is beauty and beauty is truth, it is that undeniable je ne sais quoi that – as my grampa said – hurts but does not sin, it does not do evil.

We may be trying to seperate fly shit from pepper, but at least we are not spouting pablum. “Truth is beauty and beauty is truth” is more in the latter category of religion than it is in the former category of science. It might be more appropriate to claim that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and truth is something that you will never know.

There is absolutely ZERO chance of having a reasoned dialog with those people. How about with Mister “fuck Trump” DeNiro? You think you can have a reasoned dialog with him? 2+2=4. Oh mouse, it’s no big thing. Nobody is being deferential to anybody. None of us are shit in the grand scheme of things. Nobody cares what we think, and half the time we don’t care what we think. Hell, half the time I don’t think, and I have seen you in the same boat. The point here, and why I like it here, is that we can have a calm and reasoned discussion and that is what we are doing. Valid points thrown back and forth across the interwebs, all in a valiant attempt to get the comment count over 100. Something that this article deserves based solely on the level of discussion that it has created, let alone on the quality of writing.

I personally appreciate that commenters take a moment to consider their words. I do. I suspect that you do too.

As to small’s comment, I totally agree that you can’t reason with a crowd of communist antifa louts. You can’t reason with a crowd of tea baggers (the conservative type not the gay guy type) either. You can never have a reasoned discussion with a crown of anything. You have to have a reasoned discussion with a very small group of people and even then the likelihood that they will come to an agreement is actually very small. Your best shot is one on one. I was in that type of discussion just Sunday night. You both calmly walk to the edge of what you consider your truth, you stand on the precipice of your world view crumbling, and you hold forth with your facts as you see them and try to see how your partner in this existential exercise reacts. They may be reacting negatively because they know your facts and don’t agree with them, or they may be reacting negatively because they have never heard your facts. You might change their mind. They might change your mind. Seeing as you and I have absolutely no access to the levers of power, that is the only avenue for enlightenment available to us.

And that is why we should all hold respect to those we are confronting. I learn something new most every day here on TBP. You do too. I respect those who are willing to stand up to the precipice and take the chance to express their opinions for all to tear to shreds. It’s not a gentile process, but it is progress. The more we learn, the closer we come to the truth.

Homer, the truth is nothing but versions. Of course, making a contention does not mean that the contention is true. That contention applies to both my statement and your statement. See, we can’t even agree on the basic definition of truth. It is all far more complicated than you seem to suggest.

Hollywood Rob sez, “Homer, the truth is nothing but versions.” I have to disagree!

When Pontius Pilate ask Jesus, “What is Truth?” I wish he would have stuck around for the answer, but alas. I think Jesus would have answered, “I am the Truth and the Way.” That answer would have been as mysterious a meaning to Pilate, then, as it is to most people, today.

Actually, in asking the question, Pilate answered his own question. “What is Truth?” “Truth is, What Is!” There is only one ‘what is’. What stands in opposition to Truth is ‘what isn’t’. That’s delusion, misrepresentation, and fantasy.

I’ll be the first to admit that discovering ‘what is’ is a difficult task, but it has been the enduring goal of mankind from the beginning. Whether it is in the physical, mental, or spiritual realms, progress in understanding is happening at an ever increasing rate and that’s hopeful for a more peaceful world as there will be less conflict between fantasy and truth.

Saying that Truth has versions is skirting dangerously close to La La Land. Ultimately, it is saying that nothing is knowable, that there are no rules, no laws, and everything is chaos. That’s Nihilism! Nihilism is countered by rational observation. The Universe is lawful– consistent. It wouldn’t exist in chaos. It would be impossible.

Saying that everything is relative, that Truth is relative that it has many versions, is avoiding dealing with the harsh conflict between Truth and fantasy. It’s the coward’s way out.

Well Plato, I would actually argue that your maffs is definitely the furthest thing from truth that there can be. How can you have faith in a religion that proscribes that the sum of all positive integers is -1/12. And they say it with a straight face as if you are intended to believe it.

Are there universal truths? Most assuredly there must be. But you don’t know any of them. Your priests don’t know any of them. Your mathematicians don’t know any of them. I am not saying that the universal truths are unknowable. What I am explicitly contending is that we have almost no knowledge of any universal truths.

Matthew 13 New International Version (NIV)

The Parable of the Sower

13 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

You must understand that the failure to blossom lies in the ground upon which it’s sown.

Great article. The US is just one of many nations built on lies. The world is neck deep in them. Some are more easily shown to be false then others. The step that involves action is the really difficult part, since there isn’t one path forward for everyone. Anyone that has had a family health crisis knows that life becomes extremely narrow, just trying to make it through the day and figure out how to survive psychologically and physiologically. We went through that recently, I didn’t read any news for 2 weeks, life was nothing but hospital tests and hope and prayers for things to get better. Sometimes they don’t. There are just so many layers of the onion, its really hard to concentrate on the big picture stuff and the lies that support them all the time, sometimes its just plain unhealthy for one’s psyche.

Living a life of constant distraction may be a shitty way to go through life, but I don’t think being angry and constantly reading news/truth is either. Information that can enable action or changes in one’s own life can be empowering, watching the world burn with no sense of being able to change it just creates feelings of powerlessness.

Ignorance is bliss.

I have wrestled with being awake and aware and the attrition that comes with it. Excellent article. I agree that we should all do what we can to battle the cancer that’s consuming our society. Your contribution is much admired by everyone here, I’m sure.

I’ve taken a somewhat different approach: trying to open people’s eyes through fictional stories. Any fiction writer knows the odds of getting published are one in a hundred thousand or so–and that’s not hyperbole. Write about politically incorrect topics, and it’s likely a tenth of that. I got one offer of publication by a small literary press but they demanded changes I didn’t want to make. So I self-publish. This isn’t a ploy to make money. My books, which explore many of the topics that are discussed here on TBP, are free on Smashwords in July for anyone interested:

https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/rdpower

Note that they’re not for everyone. Leftists will hate them. I’m not fond of organized religions, and that comes out occasionally. There’s a lot of cursing in some of the books because that’s the way people speak in the real world. (Old fuddy-duddies sometimes review them and make comments like, “It could have been a good story if not for all the filthy language,” or “The callow and crude humor detract from the story.”) There’s some sex. Some violence. In the more recent works, there’s a lot of political commentary (“lecturing” as one reviewer put it), my way of opening some eyes.

Anyway, they’re available if you (the fine people on this forum) wish; if you’re not interested, that’s fine. If you like them, great–pass them along to open, or perhaps roll, more eyes; if not; that’s okay, too.

It is beyond irritating that as much corruption and criminality that has gone on inside our government, that it has gone mostly unpunished. The only insider people that seem to wind up on the wrong side of the legal system are almost always the ones that didn’t stick to the required insider rules. That is about the only time they “eat their own”.

There is no reason that Mueller should be investigating anything other than what lunch is being served to the inmates today. The same goes for Obummer, the Clinton crime family, Comey, Brennon, Lynch, Lerner, Sebileus, Yates, Schumer, Pelousy, Mad Max, McCain, Jarrett, Abedin, the Podesta bros, McCabe, the Ohr team, Page, Carlin, Baker, Priestap, Strzok, and a whole host of others. This needs to include that smug prick Rosenstein; why is that asshole still in that job? Yet not one single one of these people have suffered any legal consequence. Most of them are still to this day running interference and calling for violent opposition to keep the status quo. It’s just utterly sickening that our government can so openly be that corrupt.

That being said, I do believe that the eye of the storm is a perfect analogy for where we as a country are right now. When we come out of the eye, and we will sooner rather than later, it will get uglier than we have ever seen it. Regardless of what happens, when it is all said and done, I do not believe that there will be one single person off this list in Club Fed or Gitmo. This government is truly built on a pack of lies. I guess I’ll have another beer!

It got its current start all the way back in the Protestant Reformation, got a huge bump with the English Civil War, which Wilson finished in World War One’s “War to end all monarchies.” The last 50 years have seen Leftism’s “blow off top,” where
-Everyone can be smart.
-Genes don’t determine sex, it’s a “cognitive choice.”
-Neither poverty nor hunger need exist.
-Everyone can be what they want, where they want, when they want.
-Time doesn’t exist. Women can exchange their traditional marriage/kids period of their 20’s in favor of pursuing economic independence in careers, as though their 20’s and their 30’s are interchangeable.
-Resources are unlimited.
-There are no Natural Laws. “We” can rewrite Nature’s Laws at will via the magic of putting incantations on paper (AKA statute legislation.)

After over 400 years, the established religion of the West is 100% Leftism. That there is a vast industry in place to parasitize this theocracy is no surprise. It was BEGGING to be bled dry, because PEOPLE’S BELIEFS are completely at odds with observed reality.

And entire industries sprang up to “explain” (AKA RATIONALIZE) things like:
– Banks create “money” (credit, actually) from thin air, then lend it and charge the borrower “rent” (interest) on it. What a gig…over 100 years and counting.
– Democracy, the notion that every moron should get a “say” in how things are run.
– Borrowing-to-spend of the last 37 years was a money-tree machine, where each dollar borrowed and spent resulted in TWO OR MORE DOLLARS of NEW WEALTH, at least one in the GDP-counting economy and a second counted as an asset in the Bond Market.

Humans do not have the cognitive skills to grasp the abstractions that “we” (in our hubris) created. Supply-and-Demand pricing does not apply to intangibles (like bonds and stocks.) The more the price goes up, THE MORE SUPPLY IS CREATED…which is a positive feedback loop (engineers weep!) and anyone with an IQ above 100 knows that no system can be sustainably governed by positive feedback.

It all rests on NOTHING but mass human psychology, and while it all rose higher and ran longer than any rational forecast could imagine, a reversal is certain at some point.

Are we there yet?

Whine, whine, whine, when the shit hits the fan you better know how to duck. Talk is cheap and evaluations with truth do not survive. We are a country of fat, lazy, stupid, welfare driven wimps that could not carry the water bucket to a fight. You better learn quickly to hunker down, protect your own and realize that this time will be not just different but catastrophic. The liars of the world are in charge, and until those with the means and guts eliminate the vermin, the rats will continue to overrun the ship of state until it sinks.

I just came in from the rain, stood in it for a bit watching a double rainbow spread across the sky like a dome. Even the birds were silent, as if they too, were in awe.

When I finally came in I sat down to read this.

The proper response was to stand up and applaud loudly.

My wife wanted to know what that was all about, the standing O, not the rainbow.

The Truth has a weight to it, a gravity of it’s own, and it draws others into it’s orbit. Whether you know it or not, you’ve created your own double rainbow and I am glad to have seen it.

Giggling…only you could get away with posting that music. And I’m not surprised at the no thumbs indifference to it.
Applicable tunes posted after select comments rarely get applause or boos.
I like seeing and listening to them, just to witness the breadth of tunes & other stuff you know. Keep it up.
Cheers.

Truth?
I couldn’t finish the article
Heres some truth
We bought things with money we didn’t have to impress people we don’t especially like
And all those purchases the deep state “afforded” you / we was all patterned after what the deep state thought you’d be a sucker for.
Now we’re in “The Great Contraction” and nobody wants to lose their worthless shit.
Give it up freely and start living again.

There is much too much in this essay. I will probably quote this in the essay I am working on.

“Defeating the Deep State will not occur in one grand, do or die, battle. They must be defeated using guerrilla war tactics of hit and run by small units of courageous truth tellers”

I hope that the guerrilla war tactics will just be confined to paper.., to tellers of truth to combat the equally guerrilla war tactics of the liars.

Jesus said “I have come into the world: in order that I can testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.” 38 Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” John 18:37-38

Bravo Admin!

Superb article as usual!

This stood out to me the most:

“Wall Street scum and left wing social justice warriors have called my employer to demand my firing.”

Don’t take this the wrong way.. but if you or your employer are only getting protest calls after 9 YEARS of TBP, you are close to the ((TRUTH)).. but not close enough to really rock the boat.

If you really got to the ((TRUTH)), you would have been terminated immediately without warning.. possibly one of those calls at night type of situation.

In addition to telling the Truth it appears to be necessary for Many of the Top Traitors to the US to suddenly begin having “Accidents” just like Most of the Clinton associates who were about to become a Problem. During WW2 we used Terror tactics to defeat NAZI Germany & Japan – the Fire Bombing of Dresden was a Psychological & Physical Terror Attack on Men, Women, Old People & Babies – but so what – We Won. The Atom Bomb & Hydrogen Bombs dropped in Japan were Both Practical Tests & Pure Terror – but so what – We Won. The way to Defeat A Jihadist is to be Christianly & help as many of them get to Allah as possible preferably by the Thousands & Millions – but so what – We Will Win. The ONLY way to Defeat “Progressive/Communism” is to Kill All Adherents to this Demonic Political Theology – Talking WILL NOT WORK. Pray to Jesus, Believe in Trump & Kill the Enemy.

“Pray to Jesus, Believe in Trump & Kill the Enemy.”

Scripture, please. Or, are you referring to another Jesus perhaps?

2 Cor 11:3-4… “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

Do read the entirety of Romans chapter 12, from which I’ll offer up a few verses:

Rom 12:18-21… “IF it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Thank you Pastor

With this mass awakening that we are living through and the hateful rhetoric towards one another being promoted and disseminated by the corporate shills and CON men posing as civil servants, much ANGER and FRUSTRATION abound….
It is easy to forget how to follow Christ in this , the Devil’s playground.

I like the awakening process to that of the stages of grief.

7 Stages of Grief:

SHOCK & DENIAL-

PAIN & GUILT-

ANGER & BARGAINING-

“DEPRESSION”, REFLECTION, LONELINESS-

THE UPWARD TURN-

RECONSTRUCTION & WORKING THROUGH-

ACCEPTANCE & HOPE-

Where are you in your Awakening?

Thoughtful question and a thoughtful rating system. Could make a long story out of it… To answer quickly, I am constantly reassured by the words of scripture, which after years of very deep searching I can only conclude are our Creator, Jesus Christ’s (Col 1:16) actual words to mankind (Psalm 12:6-7, 138:2). They tell me that my ultimate hope has nothing at all to do with this world (Col 3:1-3). This world is evil (Gal 1:4), poisoned by satan and humanities self absorbed sin nature (Gen 3) and that God will rebuild it someday, back in the image of Himself (Eph 1:10). I have to admit however that while here in the flesh, in the awakening stages you list above I’m in the “reconstruction and working through” phase with recurring episodes of “depression, reflection, loneliness”. It’s been one wild ride… and it sure ain’t over yet.

I greatly appreciate this website and all the people who share their thoughts on it. I learn more each day and hope to be able to share some of what I understand as well.

Thank you for replying.

A common misconception of the stages of grief is that one happens after the other or independently from the other…often times we can be experiencing several stages simultaneously.

This is why it is so important to consider our thoughts with critical reflections and not just live life one reaction after another like so many of us have been conditioned to do by this beast system.

Again, thank you for sharing your own struggles,

With certain topics I feel I have gone through the anger, denial, bargaining , feelings of alienation and hopelessness and have come to acceptance and hope…
It has taken many years to unlearn what we have been taught and let go of the anger associated with the grief associated with reshaping my worldview…

Attempting to live a vigilant, conscientious and accepting life can wear on your soul can’t It?

Thank you again. I have come to enjoy your thoughts herein the TBP
