When I first heard about the Tesla car I thought “cool car” might take off in a niche market and over time take a spot in prime time auto sales !
Then I discovered the real cost per unit to taxpayers and realized Elon Musk ,con man welfare queen , section 8 car builder !
Our tax structure and government hand outs needs a complete overhaul not with a scalpel but with a machete a chain saw and a shreeder .
We as a society have infrastructure issues nationwide and issues like Tesla only increase the problem everywhere else by not allowing businesses and investors to rise or fall on their own merits .
Most of the time I find myself stating government needs to stop doing something not do something .
I have to agree, Boat Guy, I am afraid that the genius that he is, has now ‘lost it’ as indeed do all people of his type eventually. It is such a pity that a person of such incredible vision and insight has to lose touch with reality just at the time when success could be had if only a little moderation were to prevail. I fear that the wheels will come off and he will cause the demise of Tesla down the same road as that of DeLorean.
