The problem is there will always be people who look to others to lead/control them and always be people who want to lead/control others. Not sure what percentage of the population falls into these two categories, but I would guess greater than 75%. Human nature will always destroy utopian dreams.

There will always be those who want to be told what to think and what to do whether it be by politicians, businessmen, or religious leaders. It’s easier than thinking for themselves.
There are also those for whom power is the ultimate aphrodisiac. ‘Libido Dominandi’ – the lust to dominate. To stand as lord and master over other sentient beings. To them power isn’t the most important thing. It’s the only thing.
And then there are those of us who have no interest in either of those groups and just want to be left the hell alone.
Yes, I too want to be left alone. But being alone is your weakness. It is what makes the world what it is today. I understand your desires, but you have to understand that they do not share your desires. They want to band together to eliminate you. So how do you fight back if you refuse to band together?
HR, I don’t think it’s an issue of not wanting to band together, it’s HOW do we band together on a very large scale? I would guess most TBPers are LMTHA types, so TBP is an example of banding together, but on a limited scale. If you can figure out how to scale it up to a political force that gets results, let us know.
But traditionally, and universally, people want to be and are ruled by members of their ethnic group…As Gandhi pointed out, Indians would rather be misruled by their own than ruled by an alien force like the British.
