I say we lay off Hillary over this. Hoisting leftists on their own petard may make us feel good but do we want people to be destroyed over a figure of speech or clumsy comment?
I’ve come across situations where you cannot use the word ‘retard’ because it has several meanings and one of them is a slang reference to mental retardation so rather than look for context the website prohibited the use of the word entirely.
The idea that a genuinely retarded person would be insulted should they be perusing some article on economics or operating a Model T Ford and see the word ‘retard’ is laughable on its face. If they are truly retarded they wouldn’t be reading the article in the first place!
Agreed, but in light of the recent Megan Kelly firing over the most innocuous of comments and the destruction of Roseanne Barr for what amounts to roughly the same quip that Hillary just made it makes no sense not to make note of the flagrant hypocrisy on display.
