It’s emotionally satisfying in this era where we know the institutions we all were taught to respect are discredited and we’ve all become super cynical but this guy is dangerous. Not a word about rights or liberty. He’s a kick in the belly for globalists OK but a long way from what a peaceful and prosperous society needs. He’s another handful of shit thrown at the fan.

Salvini is more hardcore than Trump, because Italy has bigger problems than the US does, so naturally he would have to be, to be successful at all. Bolsonaro is more hardcore than Salvini, because Brazil has far worse problems than Italy. It’s going to take really tough guys to fix anything. It is encouraging watching them emerge and get elected.
There certainly is a revolt going on in the western world against the established ‘order’. Whether this ends up promoting liberty is very much in doubt but that you’re encouraged is a bad sign.

I was driving to town the other night with wife to go for a walk. Get some exercise. Anyways the radio in car was tuned into a report from some person who was blathering away about the tragic implications of the Bolsonaro election while interviewing someone on the scene from Brazil. The faithful reporter for the Canuckistan Broadcasting Corporation was reading to air the quotes above.
My Wife was shocked.
