Canada. The 51st US State?

The comments section was a little surprising (for me at least). Worth reading HERE.

I feel badly for our Canadian cousins. Justin Trudeau would be better suited as a dancing boy in a Saudi harem than a Prime Minister.

I see a Canadian caravan in the making. People are finally realizing the similarities between a liberal and a floater in a hot tub.

Loved Froom’s idea: “I’d like to arrange a swap. Canada gets our Libs who can have the socialized medicine, gun control and pretty boy leader they crave. We’ll take all the Folks who believe in freedom, self-reliance and the ability to defend oneself. Everyone’s happy!”

We tried that in the war of 1812, and many New England states properly talked about legally and Constitutionally seceding from the union. The imperial nature of American government has been on display for 200 years and then some.

It sounds like a good idea with Mr. Trump and Trudeau being the leaders of our respective countries right now, but a few years ago, the leaders were Obama and Mr. Harper. Since leaders come and go, I’d rather stick with Canada being it’s own country.

It’s too bad Mr. Trump wasn’t President when Mr. Harper was the PM. I think they would have gotten along well, made good deals for both our countries and US-Canada relations would be much better than they are right now.

Personally, I think it’s high time that government got a job and stopped sponging off me like an intitled kid in the basement.
And don’t take someone else’s business and don’t force us to buy it.
Come up with a good idea, make it and sell it like the rest of us.
And don’t use my tax money as a start up.
Then when it’s making money we intend to tax you and regulate the living shite out of you.
Good luck.

Canada is pretty well screwed. They have no free speech and cannot keep and bear arms. Sadly USA is not an escape valve for some of the Canadians who are worth a damn. We are near to being in the same boat.

There’s lots of firearms in Canada. Most people I know that have them don’t speaks about firearms ownership unless they’re sure they’re among like minded individuals.

Some stats on firearms in Canada…from the CBC no less:
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-s-restricted-gun-ownership-increased-9-5-per-cent-in-2015-1.3745464

“According to the latest report of Canada’s Commissioner of Firearms, there were 795,854 restricted firearms registered to Canadian owners in 2015″

” In 2011, the last year statistics were available before the Conservative government ended the reporting on non-restricted firearms, there were 7.1 million non-restricted guns in Canada.”

**In Canada non-restricted firearm means most rifles or shotguns, but there are exceptions. Restricted firearms include some long guns and semi-automatic pistols and revolvers with barrels > 105 mm (4.2″). Prohibited firearms include fully automatic firearms, conceal carry size handguns, and any shortened long gun (barrel less than 18″ / overall length less than 26″).

I can see like minded leafs and eagles both men and women helping each other out during a clean out of our countries, but make Canada part of the US,no way that camel is getting it;s nose under the tent!

So,lets agree to provide aid and support for our freedom, and well……,leave it at that.

Love me some Canadians, but gov’t here and there are already to big and ought not to get even bigger.

Best thing would be to have the countries sub-divided where people were free to go where they are treated best and there is competition between the divisions. Can’t happen as of now, but something might change if things break down and as when like particles find one another and coalesce, factions could gather together and form something viable.

i remember reading an article about 25-30 years ago about how canada might break apart–
if i recall correctly,it postulated that montreal would go it’s own way, eastern canada might or might not be absorbed into the usa,and western canada would become part of the usa–
overall,i think it’s a good idea–most of the canadians i’ve known are good people, though like most immigrants they need to learn proper english, especially pronunciation, and the people from the maritimes seem to have a problem telling the truth–
other then that,they’re good folks–

one more thing–keep your damn queen–

I am Canadian. I am fiscally conservative and consider myself a libertarian. Canada has it’s share of problems, but myself and the vast majority of Canadians would never endorse joining the shit show to the south of us. No offense intended.
