Americans Are Fleeing Illinois And Moving To…Idaho?

Via ZeroHedge

Every year, roughly 14% of the US population moves from one state to another, according to Census Bureau data. But after a careful analysis of the data from 2018, North American Moving Services published its latest report on American migration patterns…and it contained some surprising conclusions.

For example, while Illinois was once again the top state for outbound moves (thanks, we imagine, to its dysfunctional state government, high taxes and massively underfunded pensions), the top state for inbound moves was…Idaho?

A quick glance at the data reveals a familiar pattern: Americans are leaving high-tax blue states in favor of red states with low taxes and low cost of living.

Moving

Here are some additional takeaways from the report (text courtesy of North America Moving Services):

Northeastern states

Until this year, Connecticut has consistently been in the top 8 of outbound moves since 2013. It was #1 in 2013 and #2 in 2017. Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey have also made the list of outbound moves consistently since 2013. Massachusetts and Rhode Island have both gone back and forth in having more inbound or outbound moves over the years.

Southern states

South Carolina was in the top 3 of inbound moves starting in 2011, then started to slip down starting in 2016. They were still in the top 4 but lost their top ranking as the state with the most inbound moves. North Carolina beat South Carolina for the first time in 2016. They kept their rank in 2017 for inbound moves until falling back down below South Carolina in 2018. Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and Texas remained constant in the top 8 from 2013-2017 for inbound moves. Tennessee, Texas and Florida held their spot in the top 8 list for inbound moves in 2018. Overall, the Southern states have had more inbound moves than some of the other regions.

Midwestern states

Illinois has consistently been in the top 3 positions of outbound moves since 2013, getting the #1 position 4 times. It may not be surprising due to the fact Illinois is one of the highest tax burden states. Michigan has been on the top 8 list of states with the most outbound moves since 2011. Iowa consistently had more outbound than inbound moves until 2017, when it had more people move out of the state than in the state. However, in 2018, Iowa had more inbound moves. Minnesota and Ohio have stayed constant, having more outbound moves than inbound. Over the years, Wisconsin has gone back and forth in having more inbound or outbound moves.

Western states

In 2013 and 2014, Idaho wasn’t in the top inbound states. Then in 2015 it was #1. It remained #1 in 2016 and slipped to #2 in 2017. Based on the most recent Census data, Idaho is currently the nation’s fastest growing state, with its population increasing 2.2% between July 2016 and July 2017. Now, in 2018, Idaho is back up to #1 for inbound moves. This is not overly surprising to also know that Idaho is one of the least tax burden states which may be a contributing factor. Oregon, Arizona and Colorado have consistently been in the top 8, with Arizona #2 for 3 years and topping at #1 in 2017. The western states also have had more overall inbound moves than the Midwest and Northeast.

They vote for terrible ideas and politicians, flee the shithole they created, move to my home, Colorado, resume voting for the same terrible ideas and politicians, and turn my home into the same shithole they left.

Qver the years they have done the same thing in the big cities, moving out to suburbanize and destroy nearby farm communities with the same social toxins they fled.

In Blue States your vote is useless if you’re a rational conservative. You’re better off voting with your feet and taking what you have before it’s too late.
In NJ the corrupt symbiosis of corporate unionism melded with Democrats has bankrupted the place. The only people who DO want to move in are those who leave someplace comparatively worse. Soon, where I live, it will be Orthodox Jews taking up the affordable residential housing that’s left over, retirees in gated communities facing no pension benefits, and low income, no skill minority guttersnipes packed into overpriced state-mandated housing. In a few years they’ll be stealing from each other.
This isn’t where I want to live – or die.
The political and social demographics will only decline further. With more taxation and mandated government theft even the comparatively wealthy will eventually leave. School systems will deteriorate as the tax base is reduced.
The only solution for those who can – leave, and cover your six on the way out, just to make sure no one tries to take your sh*t on the way out.

I wonder how long it will take for these places to make it illegal for Whites to leave at all?

Harold Covington was right all along.

After Sandy Hook in CT the writing was on the wall. No way was I registering my firearms etc…..so I voted with my feet for MT. It has not been easy and yes there are leftists psychos here also….especially annoying are the CA folks fleeing tyranny seeking to reimpose tyranny in their adopted home. The American Redoubt, MT, WY, ID and the western halves of WA and OR are the last best place. Come on over but embrace the freedom and leave behind the BS.

Good luck, Montana! Grew up there on wheat/cattle farm/ranch decades ago north of Great Falls; it truly was another world, hard work, low wages but worlds away from the filth of CA and Wash , DC
(from what I hear, stay the hell away from Missoula!)

I am now down in SW Idaho watching the California invasion with horror but no border fences obviously possible-construction everywhere, traffic exponentially greater, and arrogant california assholes everywhere.

Actually what happens is that a group of white people make a great community. It’s conservative in nature with low regulation, low taxes, low corruption and high intelligence and trust. These types of communities are like a beacon drawing in the liberals and PoC who somehow think it’s just a fucking coincidence that such a wonderful community exists. Once the liberals and PoC establish a foothold, the once great community rots from the inside into a low trust, low intelligence, high corruption death spiral. Rinse, repeat.

actually in Idaho the Boise-Nampa-Meridian-Caldwell area has already been “starbucked” so no hope there, better to try Lewiston, Weiser, Payette, Council, or Ontario in Oregon.

You are correct!

Real Estate market completely distorted, cal assholes coming in to offer all cash at levels substantially higher than asking prices on existing homes. New house construction expanding everywhere possible.

Average working families in Boise cannot afford and move out to nampa, meridian, and are forced to commute to their jobs in boise against mind numbing traffic.

Same story with rents-talked with young mother at coffee shop who is paying $1500/month for 1000 sq ft and will be moving to star or further and then commute, boise has the jobs but not all that well paying.

Obviously, real estate agents are dancing in the streets!

Just saying, touched a nerve.

Q: Why do people in Idaho celebrate July 4th AND July 5th?

A: Because that’s their entire summer.

=============

Went to Sun Valley to ski. Spent several weeks in Boise for HP Laser Printer training. Incredibly beautiful state. Too fucken cold and too much snow most of the year.

You just have to embrace the winter…..all 9 months of it. With the proper clothes and equipment, anything is possible. We run with slip-on ice cleats, bike with studded tires, snowshoe, XC ski, backcountry, resort ski, snow machine, and we shovel snow, lots and lots of shoveling! Coffee is exceptionally popular and so are full fluffy beards. Pro tip, the most dangerous animal on your backcountry adventure is not a grizzly its a damn moose! Poor eyesight, they will stomp you so fast it’s incredible….the bears haul ass 99% of the time.

The video is 46 minutes, but if you listen to the Alderman answer the question why he is backing a corrupt Tax Assessor, never a true answer was spoke. Equally unfortunately, the voters still vote in these crooks.
