Socialism Is The Fyre Festival Of Ideologies, And Stupid Millennials Are Falling For It Too

Resolved: Millennials are the worst of all possible generations, and I say that as a baby-boomer (by a week). Unconvinced? Then check out one or both recent documentaries on Hulu and Netflix about their generation’s Woodstock, the infamous Fyre Festival, and watch how thousands of credulous millennials got suckered by social media “influencers” – actors, rappers, models, whatevers – who talked them into plunking down enormous wads of cash to attend a fabulous dream concert/party/rave in the Bahamas.

The ads promised hot models frolicking, exciting musical acts like “Major Lazer” and whatever a “Migos” is, luxe accommodations, and gourmet food prepped by acclaimed chefs. What they got was drunken dudes and dudettes from the cargo shorts ‘n backward cap set, no tunes, moist FEMA tents, and famously forlorn cheese sandwiches.

But in a stunning turn of events that no one could foresee, except everyone who wasn’t a millennial, the promises of these cultural influencers turned out to be wet garbage. People tried to warn them, but no. The warnings of people who probably didn’t even wear ironic t-shirts weren’t stopping our millennials! If there’s one thing millennials are, it’s supremely confident in their own intelligence, which is why so many of them ended up out several grand for the privilege of shivering in a glorified refugee camp telling each other their pronouns while not listening to the dulcet tones of “DJ Kaytranada.”

So, there was an upside.

Here’s how dumb these children, who are the future, were…Blink-182 figured out it was a con job and pulled out. Blink-182 was the voice of reason here. Blink-182. That’s like losing at chess to Mazie Hirono.

Well, maybe the Emily Ratajkowskis and the Ja Rules and the rest of the pop culture titans led us astray about this Caribbean bad music party, but there’s no chance at all that an ideology this same cultural zeitgeist is embracing could possibly turn out bad! Right?

Wrong. The millennials are falling for socialism just the same way they fell for the Fyre Festival.

Whoa, someone’s going to give all this wonderful stuff to me? I’m not going to harsh the buzz by asking questions like ‘Has this ever been done before?’ or ‘Aren’t things that sound too good to be true usually too good to be true?’ All these models on Instagram are saying it’s cool, and since I have no religion, their consumerist lifestyle imagery fills the void in my soul and I must obey. On to Great Exuma to party with whoever ‘Lil Yachty’ is! Oh, and yah Marxism, too!

On to a bold future of socialist wonderfulness. Who could go wrong backing an aging USSR tongue-bather like Bernie Sanders who advocates an ideology scribbled out by some nineteenth century German weirdo? Today’s socialism is touted by the same kind of weaselly grifters who pushed the Fyre fraud on Generation Sucker. Billy McFarland, the world’s worst con man, was truly innovative in the way he made up for his manifest (at least to everyone over 30) scamminess. You watch the documentaries, and all these middle-aged people sit there talking about how they pegged this guy as a fake within about ten seconds. But McFarland targeted millennials, who couldn’t wait to hand him their money like the beautiful and famous people on the social media told them to.

And now these same knuckleheads are nodding their heads, jaws slack, in time with the beat of the rambling nonsense that they get from the tweets and videos of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Yeah, everyone who’s given socialism a spin in the last century has failed, at the cost of 100 million lives, but do you know who has the brains and savvy to pull it off this time and finally get it right?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Gosh, my generation couldn’t manage to make a week-long concert happen, but I think I’ll hand them the keys to remake all of society because reasons and Kardashians!

Now, you might imagine that watching Venezuela degenerate into a toilet paper-free nightmare of oppression and zoo animal-devouring would give the millennials pause about the ideology that made one of the richest countries in the world into one of the poorest in the space of a decade. But if you did, then you don’t get millennials. Who needs your history and experience when they have retweets and feelz?

Like many others, I saw the corpse of communism up close while deployed. Marxism is an enemy, whether foreign or domestic, and our oath hasn’t expired. If socialism does come here, the nice part is that I and other patriots won’t ever see it, because our dead bodies will be lying on heaps of empty brass having gone down fighting.

Then again, the deadliest weapon system most millennials are proficient with is a snarky tweet. But if socialism does manage to infect America in spite of our efforts, there is one thing I’ll regret missing out on. That’s seeing the millennials looking surprised at what happens to them next.

I show what socialism in America would look like – brutal and insanely SJW-focused – in my latest novel, Wildfire, and in my earlier installments People’s Republic and Indian Country. The good guys win in mine (because they take no guff, unlike certain cruise-shilling weasels in real life – Ahoy!), but if you want a graphic cautionary tale, check those novels out.

And here is the real reason CW2 may never get off the ground; why bother? Is it worth risking my life to restore the republic to an America who will only offer it back to the next liberal con game, in exchange for greater access to Facebook and Twitter, so they can feel important by expressing their feelings to fellow snowflakes?
No, defending my home will be on my priority list, but to try to restore constitutional rule of law for a nation of snowflakes does not appear to be worth the effort.

This dude clearly is the triggered one. He bitches and complains about millennials every single week. They have so much real estate in his head. Also, this article is just plain dumb. To label an entire generation based off of a few thousand dumbass trust-fund babies is either a troll job or you juat have your head so far up your ass. This guy does literally the exact same shit as the millennials he’s annoyed with. Reads about a couple incidents here and there and automatically assumes the entire generation to think that way.
And he also very clearly jerks off to AOC and daydreams about fucking her. He can’t get her out of his head. This guy’s a clown.

By your criticizing the article and it’s author, the people on TBP will say that you’re in favor of socialism.

Here is the author regurgitating the U.S. statist mantra that “ALL of Venezuela’s problems today is solely the result of socialism”. Inaccurate journalism. But if you simply point this fact out you’ll be accused of being a socialist even when you’re not.

What you’ll never hear in the U.S. is any mention of average intelligence in Venezuela. I have know many people from all over the world that worked in Venezuela and they’ll tell you Venezuelans are beautiful people (physically) who most of us would consider “blonde” in the decisions they make. In many ways it was like the Saudi Arabia of S. America. All ex-pats down there doing the work the Venezuelans couldn’t, just like Saudi is now. It’s no wonder at all that they fell for Hugo Chavez’s ridiculous promises to kick out the “devil” U.S. chronies and share the plunder.

Most of the young people who are friends of my son, or who work on the farm all either tail end millennials or GenZ. They are all males- I can’t speak to the female side of the coin except for my daughter and her friends who are also very traditional in their interests and behaviors- but none of them, not one, exhibits any kind of left leaning slant. They are, in fact, a bit more reactionary than anyone I know in my generation and openly mock and despise the avocado toast, lumberjack beard, craft beer crowd. They are almost to a man very hard workers, extremely upbeat, love to shoot, spend far more time in outdoor activities than passive entertainment, and are by any standard extremely fit. They are respectful, helpful, and loyal to each other in a way that is more like a brotherhood than simple friendships. Of course we live in a rare demographic, far less diverse than 99% of the US so we have the benefits of shared culture, language, history, community, etc. In all ways they are a much more solid and focused cohort than my generation has ever been and if they finally get the reins things can only work out for the best.

Here’s another thing I notice- they know that the entire system is a sham. It took me thirty years to catch wind of what was going on and these young men are fully conversant on the nature of the beast.

I think we get sidetracked by what we see and read that comes across on a screen, because that is not what’s happening out in the real world. Urbanites of that generation? They appear to be completely absorbed by the borg because of the environment that they live in.

Best thing we ever did for our children was to divorce ourselves from the fake paradigm of the American consumer living in the poisoned atmosphere of the Blue State mindset.

Great rebuttal that offers a bit of hope.

I’m 60 a couple of weeks ago, I have been making beer since circa 1990. Why do you guys always have to crack on us craft beer guys? I drink BudMiloors too but I love a great Porter, no mango please, or a Russian Imperial stout. Oh and I wear Birkenstock’s because I broke an ankle and a foot in seperate manly pursuits and they are the ONLY shoe that allows me to walk in comfort.

Keep up the good work, and you might find when you get back on your feet that Birkenstock’s are your new best friend!

Hear, hear. I’ve been brewing my own beer for years. Why? Because I’m cheap and I like good beer. I brew what I like to drink and not once has it been some rotten IPA or something with mango or other fruit in it. I brew the real stuff. Also, if the SHTF, I’ll be the guy who knows how to make beer.

“The real world.” Would that be the world that carries on with seasons, day and night ? There are so few of us left that take our direction from the real world. Humans always seem to think we can reshape what is and make it better. Unless we ruin it, we will be dust and the real world will start each day with a sunrise and end it with a setting. The old fuckers rant, the young ones sneer. Our purpose here is to carry on and leave our children the chance to do the same. We think ourselves wise, but we always seem to lose hold of what is important. HF, you clearly have insight, but you simplify and call it red vs. Blue, knowing that nothing is truly black or white. You know first hand what it is to fall from your perch. When we are sure we are right is when we lose our peripheral vision. Hold on to your humanity.

I have given up long ago on the A or B way of looking at things, but I have become ever more convinced about the general nature of cohorts (great title!) and their behavioral similarities. Exception do not invalidate rules and that is a sneaky and dishonest way of eroding all standards.

And I was using readily available stereotypes to qualify the differences. If I want to point out a pine in a distant treeline to someone unfamiliar with the species I’ll start with “Not the round leafy one, the pointy, dark green one.” Sabe’? I’d drink a craft beer if you bought me one, and my dad wears Birkenstocks and I think he’s swell.

I can tell you that my kids are “Gen Z” and are much like the kids in your neck of the woods (more Midwestern, but similar). Your experiences sort of confirm what I’ve witnessed too. I don’t know, but I suspect that Gen Z is tending toward conservatism and maybe even more liberty-minded thinking. Theirs is the generation that is going to have to confront this Marxist evil head on in their adult lives. Those of us in Gen X and boomers that have gone along with this too long haven’t put up any real resistance. Unfortunately Gen Z is going to have to pay the biggest price in this turning.

“Those of us in Gen X and boomers that have gone along with this too long haven’t put up any real resistance. ”
What do you call raising two kids through college while opening their eyes to reality? Doesn’t that count as resistance?
My eldest rolls her eyes at some things I say, and my youngest bought the “racist” nonsense somewhat, but they still listen. And my younger one has a slightly cynical bent to begin with; he knows when someone is trying to take advantage of him, hates spending his money on trivia (although he has a weakness for cyberstuff) and generally is getting ready to go to work in the real world (a training exercise / evaluation today). He won’t be buying any socialist stupidity because he knows there is no such thing as a free lunch (TANSTAFFL, thank you Robert Heinlein!).
I hope I leave few enemies for him to deal with, but he will have the ability and drive to do so if necessary.

Does it count as resistance? Hmm. Probably not. Because although I’m sure your kids are great, it’s not held anyone accountable for the fleecing of our nation and no bankers have paid the price for their wholesale fraud. Now the ruling class is essentially going to strip-mine what is left of the U.S. economy before it becomes like the Balkans.

Hand-and-glove with this embrace of “Socialism” and the sort of Dunning-Kruger effect of people thinking they know more or bettter than experience, we’re getting “new” ideas like “monetary money theory” in the wake of Keynesian theories obviously failing. MMT is doubling down on stupid and it’s going to be the tool these dupes use if they secure power. No more need for savings and capital. Yessiree, these super-good-at-everything people have figured out that deficits don’t matter and that government just needs to issue as much money as they “need” and spend it in a way super-smart people spend it buildin’ roads and stuff. I predict we’re getting a future ruling class that is going to be a blend of Marxism, Greenbackers and Central planning. In about 12 years the Russians are going to be laughing at the USSA asking “Where will we get bread without the government?”

It’s really ageless Conservative vs Liberal. Somewhere in NYC and Chicago bank basements are groups like in Dr Strangelove making decisions for Corporation CEOs, MSM/Hollywood Bosses, Leftist colleges and Obama Pentagon Generals who all toe the NWO line. Cultural Communism destroying Traditional Culture gives them orgasms. CO2 supposedly controlling Climate and changing temperature readings to create the Global Warming lie is one of their Big Lies. Putting ranchers and dairies, slaughter houses and livestock markets, butcher shops and cheese manufacturing operations out of business for a hundred reasons is their conspiracy to control American’s main source of protein (and our access to be strangled later) to get prices/profits high. Spraying US with harmful aluminum and other crap, telling US we need it, keeping the Truth secret is another Big Lie. GMOs in food and vaccines that cause infertility and keeping it secret is a Big Lie. Kennedy’s murder, Ruby Ridge, Waco, the Murrah Building, the Panama Invasion murders, the Twin Towers, LaVoy Finicum, some of the mass shootings are all criminal government False Flag murders & Big Lies. The 9 FBI arrests of Trump ex-employees are their KGB like claws; as are the Controlled Social Media themselves, and PC purging of Speech (they) Hate and True News (called Fake). The Useful Idiots will freeze in the streets protesting Global Warming.

You should be aware the youngest genY are like 24. The oldest are a couple years shy of 40. Hardly children. It wasn’t genY that allowed the Patriot Act, or bailed out the bankers and other cunts like GM, et al., or invaded Iraq twice and Afghanistan and every other shitskin country over the last 30 years. Passed amnesty. Passed the Brady Act. Have done nothing to fix social security or medicare and made it worse with part d. It’s a bit late in the game to complain about “kids” falling for socialism when they’ve been told their whole lives the problems in society they see (which actually have been caused by ‘socialism’) are the product of capitalism and the free market.

As for genZ, as some of the other commenters have mentioned it is encouraging how far right they are despite all the attempts otherwise. The problem is of course genZ is the first in this country’s history where whites are a minority. And that boys and girls is more important than most of the rest of this shit. Personally I think the event horizon has been crossed already but if it hasn’t, something will need to happen soon or all is lost.

Socialism is a symptom just like Crony Capitalism. We have full blown socialism right here right now. Look at the total cost of taxes, regulations and subsidies and you have naked socialism. But that’s not what destroyed Venezuela. Cia/Mossad meddling is the problem. If socialism were the cause then Israel,France’Iran, Britain,China,Japan,Canada,Italy,Norway, Saudi Arabia, I could go on ad nauseam , would all be falling apart and starving. Venezuela has more oil, gold and Iron than 30 million socialist goons could ever steal and mismanage. If the Maduro cronies were stealing the revenue the U.S. would have seized their accounts just like the did their Gold in London. Maybe the white ruling elites who still control the Media have it but it’s just too damn simplistic to blame it on socialism. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kurtsie Schlonger is a paid disinfo dude. Too many brainwashed Zio Jew lovers here.

I have read that polls taken among the younger set–under 30; maybe under 25–show that half or more are sympathetic toward Socialism. If such be factual, then Schlicter’s gripes are valid.

In Venezuela, one of Chavez’ first acts was to nationalize the oil business. Ran off Exxon’s expertise, and the decline of production and thus national income began. “It hasn’t got better with age.” Even before Maduro, Venezuela began to imitate the USSR: A shortage of the necessarily-imported toilet paper.

Given the average weight loss for the Venezuelan citizenry, maybe the US needs Socialism to solve our obesity problem.
