Lara Logan, chief foreign affairs correspondent for CBS News, admits that journalists have abandoned any pretense of objectivity and become “political activists”.
During an interview with the Mike Drop podcast, Logan agreed with host Mike Ritland that the media had become hyper-partisan in favor of Democrats and that this was a disaster for America.
“The media everywhere is mostly liberal, not just the U.S.,” said Logan, adding that this made it impossible for the viewer to tell if they were being deceived at any given moment.
“How do you know you’re being lied to? How do you know you’re being manipulated? How do you know there’s something not right with the coverage? When they simplify it all [and] there’s no grey. It’s all one way. Well, life isn’t like that. If it doesn’t match real life, it’s probably not. Something’s wrong. For example, all the coverage on Trump all the time is negative. … That’s a distortion of the way things go in real life.”
Acknowledging that, “One ideological perspective on everything never leads to an open free diverse tolerant society,” Logan said that many of today’s journalists are in fact lobbyists for far-left political narratives.
“Although the media has historically always been left-leaning, we’ve abandoned our pretense — or at least the effort — to be objective, today. … We’ve become political activists, and some could argue propagandists, and there’s some merit to that.”
The war correspondent noted that this heavily weighted bias in favor of leftist perspectives was distorting reality.
“When you turn on your computer, or you walk past the TV, or you see a newspaper headline in the grocery store If they’re all saying the same thing, the weight of that convinces you that it’s true,” said Logan. “You don’t question it, because everyone is saying it.”
Logan also blasted news reports that were based on single anonymous government sources, asserting “That’s not journalism, it’s horseshit,” while demanding that journalists are more accountable.
“Responsibility for fake news begins with us,” she said.

This is why I don’t watch the news anymore or read newspapers . I even stop watching Fox because of the left-wing bullshit.

My “awakening” and distrust of the government and “mainstream media” started with the JFK assassination where I noticed the “news anchors” smirking” to each other while “reporting” (actually reading their pre-written “reports”) in the aftermath of the assassination.
At a young tender age, I read the entire “Report on Assassinations” (the Warren Commission Report) and thought to myself, “what a crock of sh!t”…
In 1967, upon independent investigation, I recognized Israel as the “enemy” with the deliberate “act of war” against the United States with the attack on the USS Liberty (GTR-5) with the subsequent “cover-up” by Lyndon Johnson who “did not want to embarrass an ally”.
Looking past the claims of the so-called “holocaust promoters”, I soon discerned that this “event” was indeed “The Hoax of the Twentieth Century”, and was merely a successful “money grab” by the zionist jews. It is interesting to note that there were no claims of “death camps” in the many dispatches that were passed during WW2. The word “holocaust” was not used until the 1960s. The emaciated bodies shown in popular “holocaust” literature were a result of typhus, not extermination. Add to that the jewish “lampshades”, “jewish soap” and “jewish shrunken heads”, as well as the “electrocution machines”, “head-smashing machines” and other outlandish propaganda claims. Let’s not forget that the jewish population showed a net increase after the cessation of WW2, despite the claim of “6 million” which had been claimed since the 1880s.
The “mainstream media” has been totally dishonest, most of their stories fed to them by the “deep state”. In fact, William F. Buckley’s publication, the “National Review” was itself being “fed” stories by the CIA.
The “mainstream media” has never been honest. There has always been an “agenda”, whether promoted by governments, or those above the government power structure who really “call the shots”.
The “snag” in their plans is the internet, which makes it possible for anyone to put out their point-of-view, concerns, or theories, without having to negotiate the (former) “gatekeepers”.
The powers-that-be and their media types are running scared and attempting to “put the genie back into the bottle” by forming “truth commissions”, enlisting the major social media outlets to combat and marginalize “ideas” that do not conform to the “commonly accepted narrative” (what the media outlets and the powers-that-be WANT us to believe).
So do you really know what was written on the piece of paper GW showed Laura and his half-wit brother Jeb during the State funeral?
Was it a Trump-troll to the effect of “We know he got JFK, but you won’t get me” sorta note? *chuckle*
Leaving aside the fact that the US has played the role of “evil empire”, when Reagan used that term for the Soviets, it clicked with Soviet citizens because, despite the total government control of the media – or perhaps because of it, they knew the name fit. That’s how it is here now – at least for roughly half of the attentive population. The uniformity of a media narrative is precisely what discredits it.
Most important information from the article “War Correspondent” a journalist who dabbles in sometimes life and death environments does not fit in with the cocktail journalists of the swamp. I hope she can still be a voice of truth in the wilderness of the deep state.

The writer does not even dance around what seems to be Ms Logan’s dramatic past, which, if true is one thing but if not true makes one wonder about possible hidden motives on her part or that of her employer. The “rape” incident in Egypt is one question mark: was it real or just a fabrication like the noose thing in Chicago? Or Hillary’s “in the middle of fire” lie.
Skepticism of anything “media” these days if not unwarranted, in my opinion.

I watch the CBS local news for the weather and the good looking weather gal. I then watch the CBS morning program for a few minutes before I head out each morning. Such a group of biased and lying skunks who bash the President as much as possible. Trump could cure cancer and they would say something negative. CBS sucks!
I laughed hugely at them this summer with they were talking about the bicycles of the Tour de France and didn’t think they had brakes after watching a video of one of the crashes. They went on and on about it.
