I know/knew a woman whose job it was to negotiate placement of those donation dumpsters for clothing, shoes, coats, et cetera… in church and small business parking lots near targeted church populations. I had no idea there was actually a Donation Industry until then, but now I do. Some of the donation dumpsters are so well located, different charitable causes will “bid” them. My friend said if she could get two or three more well-placed dumpsters she could control bidding on, she would venture out on her own.
Only in America could/would/should someone turn mining trash for treasure into a marketable industry.

I volunteer by driving the old and mostly younger disabled. Younger disabled to and from ARC in Colorado so they can work. it is always very busy with shoppers. And a good business model. Some use it as a donation site instead of taking their raggedy-ass stuff to the dump. Lots get thrown out during sorting but lots of new stuff on the floor too. Lots of charity owners are very wealthy. Look at the Carol Kai bed race that became the great aloha run.
Now THAT’s funny!!! Love those little round thatch huts with the dirt floor, no house payments or property tax bills for them. Cook out in the yard over a fire, no electricity needed and if you are hungry, you fish or trap something. God put everything you will ever need here for you to live free yet you are not.
Go back to work, punch that clock then hit that drive-thru…..it all starts over tomorrow.
